Chapter 126 Ergency

"W-wait... he... he didn’t faint?! The big panda didn’t faint?!!" Luo Xiaolei exclaid as she covered her mouth with her palm when soone from behind her answered her.
"I just received a ssage from Gu Wei Miss. It seed like you’re right, the boss didn’t faint." Guan Ye was the one who answered and Luo Xiaolei’s head snapped towards him.
When Guan Ye saw the surprise in Luo Xiaolei’s eyes, he chuckled.
"I understand why you are this shocked, but Miss, the boss is really a fast learner so..." Guan Ye stopped mid-sentence the mont he noticed that there was sothing off with Luo Xiaolei’s expression. She looked surprise and obviously pleased but for so reason, why was he seeing such a lancholic look in her eyes? Was it just his imagination?
"Sh-shall we go?" Guan Ye could only ask and gladly, Luo Xiaolei smiled and the seemingly sad look in her eyes disappeared, causing Guan Ye to feel relieved.

Yu Empire...
Yu Chen’s mood was much better. He looked revitalized but he seed uneasy about sothing.
It was already twilight when a ssage interrupted him while working.
When he saw Zaki’s na, Yu Chen cracked his neck and pick up his phone. He opened the ssage and as soon as he read it, Gu Wei entered the room with a man in black behind him.
"It’s been a while Mr. Yu." The man greeted when Yu Chen simply raised a brow. Yu Chen didn’t reply to the man’s greeting causing the man’s shoulders to drop as he walked towards Yu Chen with a disappointed face.
"Sigh... this almighty Yu Chen, how co you’re still as serious as ever? Can’t you at least be happy that this big brother has co to visit you in this shady company of yours after a very long ti?" the man started whining but again, Yu Chen still ignored him despite the fact that he just called his company ’shady’.
Yu Chen simply glanced at him and said, "Bro, have a seat and let finish these first," and then without waiting for the man’s response, Yu Chen continued working.
Zaki could only complain. "Hey, how could you be so cold? Are you really going to make this beautiful big brother of yours wait for you?!"
"You ca earlier than scheduled so don’t complain." Yu Chen replied while his focus was still on the screen of his computer. He was completely unfazed and firm and sohow Zaki just knew that he couldn’t stop this man from working no matter what kind of tricks he might use. He had tried countless tis before, but even his taunts didn’t work on him.
However, Zaki already found Yu Chen’s very own Achilles’ heel and he was confident that this boring, big piece of stone would no longer dare to ignore him.
With that thought, Zaki stood up and started walking towards the door with a dejected look. "Sigh... how boring. Never mind, I’ll just go et lil sis-in-law and have a short chat with her while I wait for you."
When Yu Chen heard what he just murmured, his back instantly straightened up and the mont Zaki held the door knob, the unfazed Yu Chen pinched the skin between his brows.
"Fine." Yu Chen quickly surrendered and Zaki’s eyes sparkled as though he was a weakened frog on dry land that just found an oasis. The man then flew like an excited little kid towards him as he grinned widely.
"That’s my boy! I knew you couldn’t resist at all." He mischievously said and Yu Chen sighed as he walked towards the glass window.
"So? Why do you look a bit restless? Was I imagining things? Huh? Huh?" the energetic Zaki imdiately started and Yu Chen glanced at him quietly for a long while.
"Bro, did you co here for an important matter or to gossip."
"Both."
"..."
"So? Was I-"
"Bro, let’s talk about that matter first."
The excited little frog looked disheartened as he looked at the firm gaze of the man before him. Until in the end, he could only give in.
Zaki’s playful expression quickly disappeared and he beca serious. It was almost as if this serious version of him was a totally different person.
And thus, without further ado, the two started talking about the confidential matter that Zaki personally brought.
Their serious talk lasted for nearly an hour and the mont the talk was over, Zaki straightaway switched gears and started grinning widely again.
"Now let’s go to the main topic for tonight!" He started, looking at Yu Chen with a aningful gaze. "What is it? Did sothing happen? Okay, let guess... could it be that you and your dear fiancée had a fight? Hmm... no, I don’t think so. Could it be that lil sis-in-law was getting bored with you and is now acting cold towards you?!" The words that Zaki spouted made Yu Chen frown and his reaction made Zaki gasp.
"Er... was I correct? Lil sis-in-law is really acting cold towards you now?" he exclaid with wide eyes but was imdiately relieved when Yu Chen uttered a "No. She’s not acting cold but..."
"But?"
"I feel like she’s avoiding ." Yu Chen weakly uttered, his coal black eyes glimred as he stared at the countless beautiful neon lights spread over the darkness below him.
Zaki on the other hand rested his chin on his hand, raising a brow. "Hmm... Are you sure she’s really trying to avoid you?" Zaki asked again and for so reason, Yu Chen’s eyes dimd before he sighed and uttered an "Mm."
"How could you be so sure?"
Yu Chen turned, put one hand in his pocket and leaned his back on the glass. "Gut feeling." He replied but his eyes were saying otherwise. The mysterious emotion glimring in his eyes was evidence that he was hiding sothing, but Zaki didn’t see it.
"Huh? So it’s just a gut feeling... and yet you’re acting like she is now leaving you for good?! Sigh this little devil... why don’t you ask her first if she really is avoiding you before you jump to conclusions? Isn’t that what you always do?"
Yu Chen ran his fingers through his hair. He was silent but Zaki could tell that this devil was currently under a serious dilemma and Zaki was really amused. This was the first ti he saw this man acting like a problematic old man. Zaki was so used with Yu Chen’s calmness and expressionless face in every situation that seeing him like this was such a rare and almost unrealistic view.
"So you want to know whether she is really avoiding you or not without directly asking her?"
Yu Chen couldn’t answer. He even looked like he was a bit confused with what Zaki just said. But his so called brother just grinned at him and continued dominating the talk.
"Don’t ya worry Chen, this big brother of yours will lend you a hand." He winked and Yu Chen could only look at him with curiosity.
Zaki then slipped his hand into his pocket, brought out his phone and then dialed a number.
"Hello, my wife? Sorry to disturb you but there’s an ergency."
