Chapter 793: 792. What does your destruction have to do with you_1

These flas erupted like volcanoes from the deepest depths of the earth, and unlike ordinary fires that cast shadows, these flas, though burning with intense ferocity, could not bring any warmth; only the scent of death and decay andered within.

Upon witnessing these pale green flas, Lu Ban felt his mind flooded with countless images.

Dim green smoke cascaded from those flas, penetrating deep into the planet’s core through fissures in the surface, dyeing it with the sa green hue. Then, those dim green columns of light would burst forth from every corner of the ground once more, causing all life around to wither and die, while even rocks underwent Corrosion and mutated.

After the entire planet’s matter was corroded, the flas would quietly depart, leaving behind nothing but a silent world, a solitary tombstone in the cosmos.

Dark red blood flowed from Lu Ban’s nostrils, eyes, corners of his mouth, and ears. His brain had already experienced turmoil just monts before; it took so ti for him to contain the boiling and restless cerebrospinal fluid, and only then did his eyes, which had rolled back, finally return to normal.

“Is this also an Ancient Overlord? No, Its status should be higher than that of the Ancient Overlords, yet not quite at the level of Charlotte and the others,”

Lu Ban inquired.

“The Outer Gods exist above the Ancient Overlords and are the beings closest to the essence of this world; they are also the source of all Pollution,”

Feng Yu replied.

“This is one of them, but It has no interest in the trivial prayers of humanity, nor is It sealed, so few people are aware of Its existence. So say It is the dancer of that Supre Being’s abode, with the tumbling of flas as Its swaying dance, but for most humans, to witness these flas is to herald the arrival of Doomsday.”

Such beings, indifferent to good and evil, simply followed their own wills, moving between stars, absorbing what they needed. As for the consequences, they were beyond the concerns of these Outer Gods.

It might be like these pale green flas; maybe It was rely drawing energy from the planets, and when a planet’s core energy was exhausted and cooled down, the transformations that civilizations on the planet would undergo were likely never contemplated by It.

If the creation of slaughter and the destruction of civilizations by evil creatures in the Foreign Domain represented malice, then these Divine Beings’ actions were completely devoid of emotion.

It confird that saying: your annihilation has nothing to do with you.

Such indifference was the dominant the among the Ancient Overlords, and those like Charlotte or The Dark One, who walked amongst humans, elaborately preparing for their own purposes, were the truly rare creatures.

Of course, Ancient Overlords are free, so the occurrence of such situations is quite normal.

“You can place this Divine Idol here, this planet has already completely lost its future, and the Outer God above us will fully digest this place in about three thousand years; you need not worry about the idol causing any harm.”

Feng Yu pointed to the ground ahead.

Lu Ban pondered for a mont. This idol represented a Divine Being who oversaw reproduction and fertility; it could Corrupt all objects it touched, causing them to proliferate and Mutate. To place it in the wilderness would likely an the barren land would again give birth to twisted life.

Perhaps at the dawn of the universe, in a dead world, it was by the dominion of this Supre God that radiant life was born.

However, the power that existed here was after all only a Divine Idol, and ultimately, the green flas that stretched across the sky would devour everything.

Lu Ban took out the stone, placing it on the ground.

The stone was severely Corroded. As soon as the squirming plants within its crevices touched the hard ground, they began to spread and grow, quickly covering the cracked earth with lush grass.

Yet this grass was not green, but a deep purple interwoven with crimson, undulating like seaweed in the shallow sea.

Perhaps before this planet’s destruction, new life would erge here, and due to the Pollution from the idol, that life might undergo an evolution that would normally take millions of years, and at the threshold of doom, a civilization could appear.

At that ti, the wise n and prophets of those civilizations would look up to the sky, relying on the flashing frequency of the green flas amidst the eternal twilight to deduce ti and establish calendars.

Tribal chiefs would see the twisted great trees that towered into the sky and the greenish-blue flas stretching across the horizon, and they would concoct creation myths around them, even going so far as to wage wars over differing beliefs.

Knowledge seekers would attempt to explore the mysteries of the sky and life, questioning where they ca from and where they were headed. They would delve into the cosmos while also probing beneath the earth’s surface, and might find themselves in conflict with ignorant religious powers, burning at the stake for it.

And all of it, everything this civilization encompassed, would ultimately fall into oblivion in the midst of those green flas, rembered by no one.

This is the civilization of the Foreign Domain.

Lu Ban sighed softly.

Feng Yu reached out her hand to him, and Lu Ban grasped it in return.

“If conscious life were to arise at this mont, they might even consider us the Adam and Eve of creation.”

Feng Yu joked, and then the world around them was enveloped in dazzling colors, as though fireworks surrounded them.

The cyan-green flas receded, a deep red planet streaked past Lu Ban, and glittering tal flakes shimred in the void. A familiar tune reached Lu Ban’s ear.

When he ca to his senses, he found himself sitting at a table in a coffee shop, a cup of coffee with froth in front of him, with Feng Yu sitting opposite him.

Around them, the scenery of Miskatonic remained unchanged, with pedestrians bustling along the streets. Many cosplayers dressed as characters from movies strutted around, drawing the attention of locals.

The film festival looked like it was going to start normally, with no one aware of what had happened here.

“We don’t have much ti left.”

Feng Yu picked up her coffee and took a sip, moistening her lips slightly.

“In many Foreign Domains, the Ancient Overlords are awakening, and their Pollution is growing more active. When the civilizations of these domains are extinguished and Pollution spreads, it always affects other Foreign Domains.”

“Are you saying that soone is awakening these Ancient Overlords?”

Lu Ban also took a sip of his coffee. Even with milk added, the bitter taste made him furrow his brow, so he dropped in two sugar cubes and slowly stirred with a spoon.

“You probably know such individuals as well.”

Feng Yu said aningfully.

“That’s true.”

Lu Ban thought of the dark-skinned man, who enjoyed traveling between domains, inciting humans to seek knowledge, and unsealing the Evils Gods, maybe just for chaos’ sake, looking for fun.

“What, what, what are you talking about that sounds so interesting?”

Suddenly, a voice burst out between them, and Lu Ban looked to see a young girl holding a cup of hot milk, sitting at the table beside them.
