Chapter 474: 473. Ultimate asure _1
Pale always felt that sothing was not quite right.
He had just entered this inexplicable amusent park, saw the inexplicable rules, experienced two attractions, and then…
“Is there sothing wrong with the floating toy mist bears?”
He read the rules carefully, and at first glance, they seed like normal precautions, but on closer inspection, he found that each rule had significant problems.
For example, one of the rules stated that the toy mist bears in the amusent park would not float around on their own.
Isn’t that nonsense? How could there be toy mist bears that float around?
Moreover, this rule gave the impression that the toy mist bears were not just toy mist bears, but sothing much more sinister and terrifying.
Upon further reflection, Pale realized a problem.
Since the toy mist bears in the park do not float around, then what exactly are the floating toy mist bears?
The more he thought about it, the more terrified Pale beca.
Additionally, there was one last rule.
[Rule 9: If you encounter staff mbers of other colors and cannot find the floating toy mist bears, please deal with them according to the thod described in rule three.]
However, flipping through the entire manual, Pale found there was no rule three at all!
What would happen if he encountered staff mbers who were neither yellowing nor reddening?
He sat on the bench, and the more he pondered, the more wrong this place seed!
Pale wanted to leave imdiately.
But as he prepared to stand up, Pale suddenly saw that in front of him, surrounded by a group of Misty City people, was a floating toy mist bear.
“What should I do…”
He saw the toy mist bear, with its seemingly innocent appearance, bypass the Misty City children and drift slowly towards him.
“It’s discovered !”
Pale felt a surge of nervousness, but fortunately, the toy mist bear simply floated past him without causing any harm.
However, as it passed by, Pale felt an indescribable sense of crisis.
It was as if he had been targeted by so predator.
By the ti the toy mist bear had drifted far away, Pale was preparing to pick up the brochure to study it carefully when he was suddenly tapped on the shoulder.
“Excuse , are you Mr. Pale?”
Turning around, Pale saw another Misty City person approaching him with an air of mystery.
“What is it?”
“I am Gale Wind from the Primal Cloud Sea Supernormal Incident Investigation Committee. You’re currently caught in a dangerous supernatural event, and I need your assistance to investigate this place and to escape together.”
The person displayed their nebulous credentials. The Supernatural Event Investigation Committee primarily deals with invasions from the Foreign Domain and matters related to the Chosen by Gods, as well as local supernatural creature disasters. Encountering these people generally ans you’re in grave danger.
“Dangerous event? ?”
Pale was stunned, suddenly connecting to so of the issues he had been puzzling over.
“Could it be that these rules are true?”
He looked at the brochure in his hand.
“Mr. Pale, when did you enter this area?”
When Pale answered, the person fell silent for a mont before speaking.
“Mr. Pale, don’t be surprised by what I’m about to say, but you have been in this amusent park for a full seven days.”
Seven days in Misty City would equate to less than seventy-two hours on Earth.
“Are you joking? I just ca in not long ago, how could it have been seven days?”
If it weren’t for the undeniable authenticity of the credentials, Pale would think this was all part of so prank.
Unfortunately, the Supernatural Event Investigation Committee never participates in such things and is an extrely serious organization.
“Indeed, we suspect that there is so form of cognitive interference supernatural power at play here. Have you found any clues?”
Gale Wind asked.
“Clues… The toy mist bears, it’s the toy mist bears!”
Pale suddenly realized.
If there was anything in the amusent park that made people feel strange, it was definitely those floating toy mist bears everywhere.
“What about the toy mist bears?”
Gale Wind didn’t quite understand and asked.
“It…”
Pale was about to say sothing when he suddenly felt as though there was sothing behind him and Gale Wind.
He turned to look and found the amiable player, Mist Bear, standing quietly behind himself and Gale Wind.
…
“How is it going?”
In the Primal Cloud Sea Supernormal Incident Investigation Committee, several high-ranking mbers were on the alert, facing the biggest crisis the Primal Cloud Sea had ever encountered since its construction.
No one could have imagined that such a difficult-to-resolve supernatural disaster would erge in the core area of Misty City, encircling a large city with a population of millions.
“We’ve already sent in no less than twenty investigators, twenty!”
A high-ranking mber slamd the table and roared.
“Even the most elite special task force has entered that amusent park, but there’s been absolutely no response this past month!”
One of the mbers shouted angrily.
“What a pity Lei Ting and Flash are missing in Foreign Domain, this whole thing would’ve been wiped out if Lei Ting and Flash were here.”
“I’d like to remind you that my mobile team has done its best.”
“And what about Gale Wind, what’s he doing?”
“Gale Wind has been missing in the amusent park for ten days already.”
The Supernatural Event Investigation Committee was left with nothing but rage and impotence in the face of this inexplicable mystery, which couldn’t be asured with reason.
For the people of the Primal Cloud Sea, it was undoubtedly a huge disgrace.
Hence, they didn’t publicize it. First, to reduce the general public’s panic, to avoid unnecessary anxiety and fear, and second, because it represented a significant blunder, if the king of Misty City found out, this whole group of them would be dood.
So, to the outside world, the Primal Cloud Sea seed perfectly serene and peaceful.
Everything had been tightly covered up.
However, in this past month, they had tried various thods to rescue people from the amusent park but only sank deeper, trapping even more people inside.
Thankfully, Misty City was in essence a place where extraordinary powers were widespread. On the seventh day, the Supernormal Incident Investigation Committee had already spotted clues.
But they were helpless.
“We can only use that.”
The person seated in the center said.
“Anyone below level five, leave.”
The others looked at each other, and several people sheepishly left the eting room.
Those who remained wore grave expressions. The fog surrounding their bodies grew much darker.
“Are we giving up on those people?”
Soone asked.
“We have to, we can no longer afford to lose more people,” said the man in the middle.
“It must be done.”
The rest nodded in agreent.
Following their decision, the Primal Cloud Sea Supernormal Incident Investigation Committee finally resolved to take asures, to eliminate the amusent park, including all the common people and the special task force mbers trapped inside.
The next day, after double-checking the lockdown of the area surrounding the amusent park, the high-ranking mbers released a bomb.
This bomb would create a powerful cyclone, capable of physically eliminating everything in Misty City.
“May they forgive us.”
As the bomb fell, the bosses of the committee heaved a sigh.
The storm raged out from the center of the bomb, quickly enveloping the amusent park in the clouds, with the terrifying gust extending dozens of kiloters, attracting the attention of giant whales in the distance.
Watching the churning mist, everyone from the committee bowed their heads in mourning.
“We still need to investigate the cause of this phenonon and submit the corresponding report…”
Just as they were about to turn away and leave, one of them suddenly sensed sothing.
In his spreading awareness, where there should have been nothing left, a group of buildings lood.
A sign hung at the entrance of the building complex.
It read… Amusent Park!!!
