Capítulo 1987: Chapter 2015: The Genius’s Analytical thod
The man called out, and the surrounding shopkeepers rushed forward to punch and kick Li Xiaobai.
Li Xiaobai knelt on the ground, his hands holding his head. Although these attacks didn’t hurt him, he was completely baffled.
Because he clearly rembered that only the shopkeepers had co to hit him, yet the attacks kept coming from all directions, like raindrops hitting him.
“Hey, hey, hey, what’s going on with this guy?”
“His body is too tough. Clearly, I’m hitting him, but it feels like hitting steel!”
One of the shopkeepers stopped and looked at his swollen fist in shock.
“Ah, ah, ah, my hand!”
“My hand is broken!”
“Stop hitting him, this guy’s body isn’t normal!”
“Could he be a cultivator?”
The shopkeepers who were hitting the hardest had their fingers bent at strange angles, their faces contorted in pain.
The sensation was nothing like hitting a human body. How could it be so hard?
“Hmm?”
“Not hitting anymore?”
Li Xiaobai glanced around, a look of bewildernt in his eyes, finding an opening in the crowd, he used his hands and feet to crawl out.
“Hey, you, you rascal!”
The shopkeeper was relentless and tried to catch up, but was pulled back by others around him.
“Forget it, that guy’s not normal, he’s probably a martial artist.”
“It’s just a pancake, not worth it. Let’s check on everyone’s injuries first.”
“…”
…
Inside the city.
In a certain dark alley.
Li Xiaobai lay on a pile of rubbish, staring at the sky, his heart unprecedentedly calm.
He brought his arm close to his eyes, examining the characters engraved on it.
“Rely on instinct, kill everyone in this city.”
“Right, I need to kill these guys, but how should I do it?”
“The arm says, rely on instinct, do I have any instincts?”
“But the handwriting is my own, without a doubt, I’m reminding myself, why am I reminding myself, is it because I rember nothing?”
“But why is that?”
Li Xiaobai muttered to himself, furrowing his brows into a twist.
He hadn’t realized that, right next to him, two n were squatting.
“Hey, hey, hey, Brother Wang, did you hear him? He’s actually thinking. He, who can only ever rember one thing, has started thinking!”
Li Hua was shocked by Li Xiaobai’s behavior.
“Relax, Li Hua, it’s nothing. The ability of [Cage of Love] indeed allows him to rember only one thing. But you know, what he rembers can be a big thing or a small thing. The amount of information contained in that one thing depends entirely on his observation angle at the ti.”
“For example, when he was being beaten just now, because his perspective only saw the pancake stand owner, he could only think it was the pancake stand owner hitting him. As for others hitting him, he chose to ignore them.”
“Do you understand now, Li Hua? This isn’t like Yu Huan Shui altering mories, nor is it a ntal attack. [Cage of Love] is more like a filter, attached to Li Xiaobai’s body surface, selectively filtering other information, only ensuring Li Xiaobai rembers one thing. The terrifying thing about the Law of Causality is its ability to confuse right and wrong.”
Wang Ming patted Li Hua’s shoulder to calm him down.
Li Xiaobai now seed to be able to think about a lot of things, but they actually all belonged under the scope of one thing.
Everything he thought about evolved and spread out from the words on his arm; this line of words integrated fragnted analytical mories.
“But his thinking is too dangerous, we can’t let him keep thinking this way.”
Li Hua said.
“No, consider this: he can’t possibly rember who his opponents are. Without knowing who the real enemy is, he’s unable to figure out a way to break the impasse.”
Wang Ming remained extrely calm. No matter how high his wisdom or skill in calculation, without crucial information, Li Xiaobai absolutely couldn’t touch the core of the problem.
“We’ll just stay with him and record everything he thinks about. Know yourself and your enemy!”
On the pile of rubbish.
Li Xiaobai’s thoughts continued to spread.
“If there’s anyone in this world I can trust unconditionally, it’s only myself. Since it’s my own reminder, I must comply with it.”
“And, I need to elevate on the basis of this statent, which ans to transcend myself!”
“I possess certain instincts, only they’re currently unclear, and I’ve lost my mory, which ans I need to engrave characters on my arm to remind myself. When I engraved them, I must still have had mory, knowing clearly who the enemy is.”
“But now I’ve lost my mory, leaving only two possibilities: One, soone made lose my mory, and since I’m in a state of amnesia, I couldn’t possibly know who they are. That’s why I remind myself to kill everyone in this city. As long as I kill them all, I’ll inevitably run into the perpetrator.”
“The second possibility is that it’s not soone who made lose my mory, but entering this city causes amnesia, so I remind myself to attack the city.”
“To figure out these two points, I need to interact with others. If others in the city don’t have the sa condition as , then it must be soone’s doing.”
Li Xiaobai muttered to himself, spilling out the analysis in his heart.
Shock left the two n next to him wide-eyed and speechless.
It was terrifying. Could soone without mories really say sothing like this?
“Hey, hey, hey, Brother Wang, can he really only rember one thing?”
“Why do I feel like he’s about to clear up the logic?”
Li Hua said dumbfoundedly.
“No, it can’t be. Just relying on this one sentence on his arm, thinking this far is already the limit. Can’t deny it, he’s truly a genius, worthy of being a contender from Divine Children’s Garden.”
“But this is as far as it goes. He doesn’t have any mory apart from this sentence. By his logic, he’ll never be able to determine if the city’s residents have lost their mories like him.”
Cold sweat dripped from Wang Ming’s forehead, his fists clenched tight, but he still spoke calmly, trusting his judgnt.
No one can escape from the predicant of [Cage of Love].
If Li Xiaobai verifies his speculation and interacts with others, then the mory derived from the arm’s words will vanish.
And if he rembers the mory regarding the engraved words, then the mory from interacting with others will disappear.
No chance of having both ans no correct way to interpret the Law of Causality.
But Li Xiaobai’s next words again caused the two n to break out in cold sweat.
“It’s theoretically correct, but I couldn’t have appeared here for no reason. Seeing the bloodstains on my arm completely dry, clearly I’ve been here for a while, yet I have no mory of lying in this alley before.”
“I don’t even have mory of entering this alley. Why is that? Could it be that my mories are constantly disappearing?”
“Old mories quickly disappear, leaving with only the latest mories. That’s right, isn’t it?”
