Chapter 1936: Chapter 1963: Human Progenitor, Xiao Lao Di

[White]’s words brought everyone back to reality.

Looking at Bu Ying’s corpse carried back by the Birdman and then at the Gods on the opposite seats rubbing their fists, they felt the pressure.

Among the Gods, there are also ruthless figures, not all of them are useless.

“Won!”

“It’s a victory for the Father of the Gods!”

“Lord Father God’s victory is to be expected, but for so reason, I’m so moved!”

“Those humans are not simple; they possess power that rivals the Gods!”

“But the outco will not change; Gods are inviolable!”

In the stands, the beings cheered. The recent battle had oppressed them for too long, and only when the dust settled could they finally relax.

The Gods looked at the returning Father God with complex expressions. It was only the second match, yet it was so fierce, and it took Lord Father God himself to handle it. What if it had been them?

It seed there was still a chance of being taken down by humans.

“Hehehe, why are you all stiff-faced?”

“They cannot be Godslayers; they lack divine material and can’t take this step, but indeed, their combat skills are impressive.”

“Bring up the Great Strength God; he should be almost recovered.”

Lei Mingzi signaled for the Gods to relax and waved his hand, beckoning for a stretcher from outside the arena.

“The guy who was taken away on a stretcher has been carried back; it seems he’s called the God of Strength?”

Li Xiaobai suddenly pointed in a direction and said.

“The Great Strength God, is he going to fight?”

“Has he recovered from his wounds so quickly?”

“Did you even hit him seriously?”

The rookie frowned at Su Yunbing, an accusing look in his eyes.

“Of course I did; these gods have incredible recovery abilities, what can I do?”

Su Yunbing rolled her eyes.

Rookie: “Being carried back at this ti, it seems he wants to fight.”

“In that case, it’s most suitable for this old man to take the stage.”

Xiao Lao Di crossed his arms, shivering as he stood up, having lain down for too long, his body a bit stiff.

“Senior, are you sure you can do it?”

“Need to take out the crystal old man…”

Li Xiaobai wanted to take out the crystal old man to restore Xiao Lao Di’s strength.

“No need; I abandoned it. It no longer counts as my strength. I’ve walked too far down the path of technique to accommodate it.”

“Extre strength against extre technique, I have long anticipated this day.”

“Young friend, can you help carry this old man up? My blood and energy are a bit stiff.”

Xiao Lao Di looked at Li Xiaobai and patted the chair.

Understanding, Li Xiaobai quickly stood up, picked up Xiao Lao Di and the chair, and walked to the stage.

“Senior, if you can’t win, admit defeat. There’s no sha; it’s better than losing your life.”

“The clone sealed in the purple crystal, I have injected Xiao Lao Di’s mory into its mind, in other words, it’s the Xiao Lao Di of the Central Origin Realm. Once it awakens, it won’t harm you.”

Xiao Lao Di sat on the chair, winked at Li Xiaobai.

“Senior, you…”

Li Xiaobai frowned, still wanting to say sothing, but Xiao Lao Di extended a finger, gently flicked, and a force sent him flying, landing squarely beside the rookie’s seat.

He had a bad feeling, Xiao Lao Di’s words ca out of nowhere and felt like a last ssage.

Almost at the sa ti, four young n carried the stretcher of the God of Strength, walking towards the arena.

The God of Strength had a head full of red hair, wearing only a pair of shorts. His whole body resembled reinforced steel, muscles defined, with each muscle containing explosive power. Even lying flat on the stretcher, one could feel the intense oppressive force.

The Birdman raised a loudspeaker: “I haven’t called you yet, how co you’re coming up yourselves, so impatient?”

“According to the process, I will first introduce the divine combatant, Xie Yimu, the God of Strength!”

“He has many titles: the God of Strength, the Great Strength God, the Muscle God, the Martial God, the War God. The origins of these titles are unknown, but each one praises his unparalleled offensive power. Before the divine battle, he was known as the strongest creature in history. As for how this strongest in history was defeated by Lord Father God, well… we don’t know what kind of deal was involved.”

The Birdman once again activated his little self-destruct skill, thoughtlessly voicing rumors from the public.

“But after seeing the human combatant, I suddenly discovered an interesting fact: Lord Xie Yimu is synonymous with strength, while the elderly man on the stage is a symbol of technique.”

“The Human Progenitor, Xiao Lao Di, as the na implies, the ancestor of humans. He was the first human when the world began, and has lived to this day. In terms of age, he is older than any of the gods present!”

“Technically, he should have ascended to godhood long ago, but he refused the chance to beco a god. You could say he was the first creature to defy the Divine Realm. Throughout the long years of cultivation, he has been dedicated to the evolution of combat techniques. All the Cultivation Techniques in the world can trace their roots back to him. He is the progenitor of humans, the ancestor of Cultivation Techniques, the originator of cultivation. Yet, a thousand years ago, he voluntarily gave up his cultivation level and has lived as a mortal ever since. No one knows what changed in him.”

“You guys are quite cunning, hiding the progenitor of humanity, avoiding Lord Father God, are you trying to employ a strategy similar to Tian Ji’s Horse Racing?”

The Birdman expressed his dissatisfaction to [White].

“After all, humans are quite weak, so we have to strategize a little.”

Xiao Lao Di waved his hand, chuckling.

The Birdman’s eyes shined: “So, do you think you can defeat the God of Strength?”

Xiao Lao Di: “I didn’t say that.”

“Then let’s begin, the third match, the Human Progenitor versus the God of Strength!”

After the Birdman finished speaking, he quickly darted off the stage, fearing collateral impact.

On the stage, a stretcher and a chair were quietly facing each other, observing.

“Great Strength God, crush him!”

“Finish him in seconds, don’t give him any hope!”

The gods clamored and urged. They had always heard of the Human Progenitor’s na, but after all, he was just human, not a god, unable to compete with them.

“Shut up, all of you!”

Xie Yimu grinned and spoke first: “This is a challenge from the god to humans. I rember [White] saying this at the start, and his arrogance shattered, impractical to examine.”

Xiao Lao Di nodded: “Yes, yes, I also feel it went too far. How could gods challenge humans? This opportunity to enter the arena was sothing humans desperately begged for.”

“Hahaha, don’t pretend, you are a mythical being from the books. Although refusing to beco a god is regrettable to , as soone who has honed combat techniques since birth, my understanding of you even surpasses myself!”

“In the long history of human cultivation, only you have continually reached the peak, never falling. Thousands of cultivators vanished without seeing their ideal combat techniques mature. So were defeated by illness, so died of age, so suffered from injuries, so fled from the harsh reality. But right now, in front of is a miracle that succumbs to no obstacle, achieving a complete form of combat, bravely ascending the peaks unfathomable to forr top experts!”

“Since birth, never forgetting, never leaving martial arts, a man who has reached the pinnacle on the path of martial arts. You can be proud, the existence of the Human Progenitor itself equals all combat techniques in the world!”

Xie Yimu tilted his head, looking towards a deserted spot in the void, where [White] was projecting.

At this mont, the beings far away in the Universe watching the light screen were transfixed by those eyes staring back at them.

Among them, humans, they still had such a badass existence…

[Although it seems out of place, I still want to talk about my writing over the past two years. First, I’m 23 this year, just graduated from college.]

[I often see comnts saying the writer changed, but I haven’t changed. I also don’t think anyone would want to ghostwrite a cerebral strategy involving Law, it’s too brain-draining. To be honest, I’m not concerned about how this book will end (though I hope it completes as started), what I care about is whether I can still improve one more level through this book. This thought has remained unchanged from two years ago to now, so you can see I freely change styles and attempt various ways. In my impression, I have had three styles.]

[First is the brainless thrill, boasting, and face-smacking. It’s fundantal, no one reads if you don’t write this way, plus I like the mutual ssing elents, which attracted many. Suddenly once I thought, always writing one-dinsional paper characters, paper world, everyone haha, it’s quite boring. Could I write a tear-jerker plot to make everyone moved? So I wrote so Illusionary Realms, about Monk Liaowang’s segnt, seeing the comnts’ effect was positive, I realized even in lighthearted brainless novels such plots can work.]

[Finally, the recent tactics elent — the reason I keep writing this book. I feel if I stick to brainless thrill until the end, with no new breakthroughs, it becos zombie writing, numbed. You could see in the Immortal Gods Realm segnt it was dragging. Writing that is continuously jumping off from previous patterns, exhausting all mutual ss elents written before. Continuing to write that way is amusing, but the amusing points were already written before. My characters seem full, but each role has roughly the sa morizable points, expertise, strength, but unreliable, engage in mutual ssing. Writing this way indeed makes characters interesting, but nothing new.]

[So I started addressing my shortcomings, emotions. Only characters full of emotions are truly complete, but I can’t feel emotions, I’m just 23. To write a character with deep hatred and vengeance whose parents were killed is impossible for to feel. So I watched many works, inspired by the old thief, I wrote strategic elents, creating a sense of urgency, forcing inner activity at life-death monts, letting characters spout cool lines. It displays the character’s wisdom, enriches them, adds emotions, sothing I never achieved before. A curved solution to my emotional understanding issue.]

[I also increasingly feel that cultivation doesn’t need to constantly involve flying around and breaking stars with a punch. These exaggerated imaginative elents are less imrsive. For instance, with the Ti Law, using past writing would be embedding Ti Law into a punch, punching out, swallowing mountains and rivers, and so on. Now it’s to execute, introducing details bit by bit, writing smaller.]

[So so readers say it feels like a different writer. But that only shows my style switches completely, while writing style is unchangeable. Characters’ speaking habits, casual banter, if you think carefully you’ll know it hasn’t changed. I personally feel techniques like Law and Visualized Item were quite successful. I’ll use them in future writings too, though they’re not yet mastered. This book is Li Xiaobai’s upgrade path, also my evolution path, constantly thinking if I can write sothing groundbreaking. That’s my motivation till now. If it were just the initial brainless thrill, the book might have ended at three million words.]

[If I missed any styles, feel free to remind . I love you unrelatedly.]
