"Let's play gas!"
Lin Nan didn't actually make Chen Yao kneel on the washboard.
After all, n have their dignity, okay! Lin Nan had once been male too. Although she'd now thoroughly and completely beco a girl, much of her thinking was still similar to a man's.
If she were still a man and had a girlfriend or wife who forcefully demanded he kneel on a washboard, he would definitely feel his self-respect damaged.
She just needed to know Chen Yao's feelings for her.
Although this guy was terrifyingly blunt.
Hearing this, Chen Yao happily scurried off to fiddle with the ga console.
"Zelda! I heard it was really fun a few years ago, but I never had the money to buy it." Chen Yao cheerfully connected the ga console to the computer screen, picked up the controller, nestled into the sofa, and contentedly began trying out this ga that couldn't be played on PC.
Lin Nan sat down beside Chen Yao, glanced at his expression, and huffed internally.
A few minutes ago, he said the ga console was too expensive and should be returned, but now he's so happy he's about to laugh like a pig.
She looked up at the content on the screen, tilted her head slightly, then simply leaned directly on Chen Yao's shoulder.
Lin Nan couldn't really see the fun in this kind of open-world ga. She preferred gas with strong competitive elents, like League of Legends, where the joy ca from competing against people, or gas like Sekiro, where you challenged your limits again and again.
The world of Zelda had just begun unfolding, and in Lin Nan's eyes, it didn't seem very interesting at all.
Leaning on Chen Yao's shoulder, a rich sense of security and comfort gradually spread throughout her body, making her yawn several tis in succession. She was actually getting a bit sleepy.
"If you're tired, go sleep in the room." Chen Yao looked down at Lin Nan leaning on him like a kitten and said with a smile, "I'll try out this ga today. Tomorrow I'll buy two gas you're interested in, and we can play together, how's that?"
"Mm." Lin Nan made a sound of agreent without paying much attention, just shifted her body and curled up entirely on the sofa, using Chen Yao's thigh as a pillow.
Chen Yao smiled with squinted eyes, gently brushing aside Lin Nan's hair strands. Her hair was light, smooth, and silky, like fabric.
"Should I wake you up tonight then?"
"Five o'clock. I'm afraid if I sleep too long, I won't be able to sleep tonight."
Lin Nan adjusted her position again, but suddenly felt sothing hot gradually rising up and then pressing against her ear.
"..."
She was so startled she sat straight up, looking at Chen Yao with an unfriendly expression.
Chen Yao was extrely embarrassed. He grinned and forced a smile, then tried hard to defend himself. "I'm a normal man!"
"Bah! You’re just a pervert!"
Lin Nan got up from the sofa unhappily. She felt Chen Yao had let down such a warm scene. Boyfriend playing gas while his girlfriend curled up beside him, sleeping with her head on his leg.
Such a heartwarming scene couldn't even last a minute!
Her drowsiness had faded too. Lin Nan had planned to go back to the bedroom to lie down and sleep for a bit, but suddenly rembered that Chen Yao seed not to have eaten lunch today.
"Should I go downstairs and buy you sothing to eat?"
She rubbed her stomach. She didn't know if hot pot was just too easy to digest or if she was simply being gluttonous, but she also felt like eating sothing.
"Rice with toppings?"
"Then I'm buying myself potato chips."
"You're on your period. Can you still eat potato chips?"
"As long as it's not cold, it should be fine."
Saying this, Lin Nan grabbed her keys, pushed open the door, and left the rental apartnt.
It was Saturday now. School had just started a week ago. Due to the epidemic, students had mostly been cooped up at ho for several months before. Finally having a weekend off made them all full of thoughts about going out to play everywhere.
When Lin Nan erged from the small alley, she discovered that this snack street behind the school's back gate was almost packed with students.
The school wasn't very large, and this was the play spot closest to campus. Lin Nan glanced down the street and actually spotted several familiar classmates.
Looking around again, an even more familiar student ca over.
"Sister Nan, what a coincidence."
Lin Nan looked at him in confusion. That familiar fawning smile. It was Big Dog from the neighboring dorm. Behind him followed Tu Junhui with his head down, playing on his phone.
Only then did Tu Junhui notice Lin Nan, his face full of surprise. "Nan Nan, what are you doing here?"
"Big Dog, Tu Tu? How did you two end up together?" Lin Nan looked behind Tu Junhui but didn't see Xiong Da's figure. "Where's Xiong Da? Did you leave him alone in the dorm?"
"He pulled an all-nighter last night and is still sleeping now." Tu Junhui scratched his head, smiling like an idiot. "Big Dog said he's opening a milk tea shop and it's being renovated. I was curious, so I ca to look."
"Opening a shop?"
Lin Nan's face imdiately filled with envy. In a flash, she forgot about Chen Yao waiting for food back at the rental! "Big Dog, you're rich! Is it far? I want to see too."
Should have just asked for money back when helping Big Dog boost his ga rank.
"Just up ahead."
The three walked side by side toward the milk tea shop Big Dog was preparing to open.
After the epidemic, quite a few storefronts posted transfer notices. That maid cafe from last sester that had caused such a commotion had now closed down too. Transfer prices were lower than usual, so Big Dog had seized the opportunity and borrowed over a hundred thousand from his family, preparing to take a gamble, to turn a bicycle into a motorbike.
Lin Nan didn't really understand business matters, but supposedly these days, nine out of ten milk tea shops that opened failed.
Arriving at the storefront Big Dog had rented, Lin Nan poked her head in to look and discovered the renovation was almost complete.
"Sister Nan, do you want to work part-ti as a server at my shop?"
Knowing Lin Nan was usually pretty poor, Big Dog imdiately said enthusiastically, "But you'd have to wear a maid outfit and hand out flyers at the entrance to attract custors for ."
"Now you've got my attention!" Tu Junhui's eyes instantly lit up. He imdiately joined in trying to trick Lin Nan. "Big Dog's a generous guy. Nan Nan, if you sacrifice your appearance a bit, you could easily make three to five thousand a month!"
Lin Nan crossed her arms and looked at the milk tea shop's entrance, shaking her head with little interest.
"Having dress as a mascot is fine, but forget the maid outfit."
"What's so good about dressing as a mascot! You're good-looking, so shouldn't you dress pretty and use your advantages to make money? Plus, it lets us ordinary-looking folks feast our eyes!" Tu Junhui had a completely matter-of-fact expression.
"If you can't accept the maid outfit, a bunny girl outfit works too." Big Dog imdiately switched tactics.
"That's even less acceptable, okay?" Lin Nan distanced herself from the two of them with extre disgust. "Heh, n. I still have things to do. I'm not going to keep talking with you guys."
"I'm completely sincere!" Big Dog hurried to try to keep her.
" too! I really want to see!" Tu Junhui didn't hide it at all. He was practically drooling.
Lin Nan turned around and waved her little fist. Imdiately, Tu Junhui rembered the high swelling on Chen Yao's cheek from a few days ago. He instantly broke out in a cold sweat, took two steps back, and chickened out.
Big Dog still didn't know the situation. Although he'd also asked Chen Yao back then, Chen Yao had been too embarrassed to say who the culprit was. Now, he still had an excited expression, trying to trick Lin Nan.
However, after he'd followed for just two steps, he was stopped by Tu Junhui's chubby hand. "The last guy who got hit drank porridge for three days. You sure about this?"
"Huh?"
