According to Murphy's Law, when you most fear sothing happening, the probability of it becoming reality approaches 100%.

As Su Qi set the last pair of chopsticks on the table, she heard the doorbell ring. At that mont, Su Qi silently prayed it wasn't her wives.

But then, a clear, childlike voice shattered her last hope: "Sister Su, open the door! My sisters and I have co to see you!"

Hearing her little wife's familiar voice ntioning "sisters," Su Qi froze. She instinctively glanced at Little Jiu Yue, who sat obediently beside her, blinking her large, watery eyes and curiously observing the dishes.

Looking at the naive adult, Su Qi felt a headache coming on. She had already resolved to keep Little Jiu Yue by her side, aning their relationship would eventually be known to her wives.

Although Su Qi had prepared for the "Pinocchio" scenario, knowing this day would co, hearing the knock now made her realize her heart wasn't strong enough. At least for now, she wanted to postpone the "Pinocchio" mont.

As Su Qi pondered this, Lu Ran brought the last dish from the kitchen. Seeing her daughter frozen in place due to the "surprise," she gently poked her cheek and asked, "How about it, Little Qi? Your friends said they're coming to see you. Are you happy?"

Su Qi found her mother's question difficult to answer. She should be happy that her wives traveled so far to visit, but Little Jiu Yue's presence complicated matters. Imagining her wives discovering her lie upon seeing the adult Little Jiu Yue, Su Qi knew the outco wouldn't be good. With these thoughts, she couldn't feel happy at all.

But she couldn't tell her mother this, of course. So, Su Qi quickly nodded and forced a small smile, though a keen observer might notice it was slightly strained.

Hearing the persistent knocking, Lu Ran gently urged, "Little Qi, go open the door. Don't keep the guests waiting."

Su Qi had no choice but to move towards the door. However, after just two steps, she felt a tug on her JK skirt. Turning back, she saw it was Little Jiu Yue, who had been sitting obediently beside her.

Little Jiu Yue, seeing Su Qi look at her, tilted her head and said, "Brother Su, where are you going? Jiu Yue wants to go with you!"

As she spoke, the little one quickly stood up, holding onto the chair, and affectionately linked arms with Su Qi, as was her habit.

Seeing this, Su Qi's headache intensified. Going to open the door for her wives with Little Jiu Yue on her arm... Su Qi felt sothing was very wrong with this picture.

Outside, Xiao Xiaoxiao had waited nearly three minutes and was about to use the spare key her father had given her when she heard the lock click. The door opened from the inside.

Xiao Xiaoxiao quickly spotted her beloved Sister Su, but just as she was about to rush forward for a hug, she stopped. Behind her dear Sister Su was a cute young woman trying to hide.

Having seen her mother-in-law's social dia post, Xiao Xiaoxiao recognized this woman as Little Jiu Yue, whom she had thought was a young girl.

Because Little Jiu Yue was still recovering, walking wasn't easy for her. Though it was only a few steps from the living room to the door, a fine sheen of sweat had appeared on her nose.

Lacking strength and fearing she might fall, coupled with seeing so many girls at the door, the shy Little Jiu Yue instinctively shrank behind Su Qi, as if trying to ld into her embrace.

Wang Yun, Wang Zijin, An Ning, and Bai Miao raised their eyebrows at this scene. They realized their husband was quite bold, introducing Little Jiu Yue so openly right at the door. How audacious!

Seeing her four wives' raised eyebrows, Su Qi felt the word "danger" flash in her mind.

As Su Qi wracked her brain for an explanation, she heard her mother's gentle voice: "Co in, co in! Put on the slippers."

Lu Ran placed five pairs of prepared slippers on the ground.

Though suspicious about Su Qi's relationship with the young woman, the five girls quickly changed into the offered slippers, seeing their enthusiastic mother-in-law.

Monts later, Lu Ran noticed the five had put on their slippers and were curiously eyeing the new family mber, Little Jiu Yue.

Little Jiu Yue had her head buried in Su Qi's arm, peeking out occasionally like a little hamster, seeming to want to speak but not daring to.

Lu Ran gently took Little Jiu Yue from Su Qi's side into her arms and said kindly, "Little Jiu Yue, introduce yourself to these sisters. You'll be friends soon!"

Without Su Qi as a natural barrier, Su Qi's five wives got their first real look at Little Jiu Yue.

Crescent eyebrows, pearl-like teeth, skin like snow and congealed cream, her delicate features were like a flawless work of art.

Most endearing were her large, watery eyes. Shy from being the center of attention, a misty sheen covered those autumn-pool eyes. Combined with her slightly flushed cheeks, the fine sweat on her nose, and her small gesture of clutching Lu Ran's clothes for security, she looked like a trembling little hedgehog—innocent and pitiable.

But the words this seemingly harmless little hedgehog spoke next left Su Qi's four wives stunned in place.
