Su Qi looked curiously at the red wine Aunt Ning Yu had brought up. She had never tasted red wine before in her life.

In the past, when she lived as a boy, drinking in the dormitory ant beer with Wu Wei and Wang Dongxu. Boys didn't care much for atmosphere when drinking—beer or baijiu were more satisfying than wine.

Now, looking at the vibrant, enticing bottle in Aunt Ning Yu's hand, Su Qi was quite eager to try it.

Ning Yu noticed the girl's wide eyes fixed on the long-treasured wine bottle with clear interest. She found Su Qi even more adorable.

Ning Yu had her own reasons for bringing out this wine. She hoped so alcohol would help relax the girl and reveal traits she liked in boys. This would help when arranging a eting with her son.

She had expected convincing Su Qi to drink would be difficult, but seeing the girl's eager expression, Ning Yu realized it would be easier than anticipated.

The ruby liquid was soon poured into sparkling crystal glasses. Bai Miao looked at Su Qi's glass and asked:

"Little girl, can you handle alcohol?"

Hearing this, Su Qi recalled her first dinner with wives Zijin and An Ning in Green City Community Room 1507. They had drunk Jägerister that night. Though Su Qi's mind had beco foggy afterwards, she still believed it wasn't due to low alcohol tolerance, but because of the mysterious "dicine" from her wives. After all, as a boy she could drink two bottles of beer—how could a bit of Jäger knock her out?

Looking at the glistening red wine and inhaling its sweet aroma, Su Qi replied to Sister Bai Miao:

"I can handle a little bit."

Bai Miao watched Su Qi examine the wine with curiosity and excitent, like an eager kitten. She felt sowhat uneasy, but since they were at ho and not out, she didn't object too strongly. Knowing red wine often has a delayed effect, Bai Miao decided to limit the girl to half a glass. Any refills would likely lead to a headache later.

Seeing Su Qi say she could drink so, Ning Yu raised her glass and said: "Well then, let's toast to Bai Miao and our little Stock God's partnership! Cheers!"

She extended her glass to the center of the table. Su Qi stood up as well. Soon a clear clinking of glasses rang out.

Unlike the burning sensation of baijiu, the wine tasted more like grape juice with a hint of sweetness and a subtle alcoholic fragrance. Being an expensive bottle from Ning Yu, it was quite delicious.

Su Qi took a small sip and her eyes lit up. The sweet grape aroma filled her mouth—it was delightfully sweet.

Ning Yu noticed a faint blush quickly spreading across the girl's fair face after just one sip. Su Qi seed to really enjoy the wine's flavor, with two deep dimples of happiness appearing.

Seeing this, Ning Yu thought they could move on to the information-gathering stage soon.

Bai Miao, sitting beside Su Qi, also noticed the change. She watched as Su Qi happily cradled the small wine glass, sipping it like a soft drink. Soon only a bit remained at the bottom of the half-full glass.

Noticing Su Qi's flushed cheeks, Bai Miao worried about a potential headache later. She decided to confiscate the girl's wine glass, saying: "Don't just drink—eat so food too, or you'll get drunk soon."

Su Qi felt a bit disappointed to see her glass taken away. The wine really was delicious—sweet and heady. She found herself quite addicted after her first taste.

However, after Bai Miao removed the glass, Su Qi belatedly noticed the increasing warmth in her cheeks. So she didn't object to losing her wine, and instead refocused her attention on the array of exquisite dishes, especially the delicious prawns.

She soon began peeling prawns again, though more slowly than before.

Unlike baijiu or beer, red wine tends to have a delayed effect.

Bai Miao observed the girl beside her. Su Qi's fair face was no longer just slightly pink—even her delicate earlobes had turned crimson. Her prawn-peeling motions grew increasingly sluggish. She looked endearingly soft and drowsy.

"Little Su Qi, are you allergic to alcohol?" asked Ning Yu from across the table, noticing the girl's drooping head as she peeled prawns.

Su Qi perked up slightly at Aunt Ning Yu's question. Her paused prawn-peeling resud unconsciously. She didn't even realize she had switched from using chopsticks to peeling with her hands.

Ning Yu found Su Qi's instinctive hand-peeling quite adorable rather than off-putting.

Faced with Aunt Ning Yu's question, Su Qi could tell from her own state that she indeed didn't handle alcohol well, even without looking in a mirror. This puzzled her, as she hadn't been such a lightweight before. How could just half a glass of wine affect her so much? Surely Sister Bai Miao hadn't drugged her too?

Hearing Su Qi's inner grumbling, the system girl chid in with a crisp explanation: "Host, when initially adjusting you, I set your body to match your ideal female protagonist archetype."

This explanation made everything click for Su Qi. After all, her favorite female characters tended to have "drunk" storylines. After telling the system girl "Next ti, ntion these things earlier", Su Qi dozed off in her chair.

Ning Yu had been waiting for Su Qi's response, but seeing the girl fall asleep and even snoring softly, she couldn't help but find it both amusing and exasperating.

Bai Changshan felt sowhat regretful seeing Su Qi asleep. He had hoped to discuss the stock market with her after dinner.

Bai Miao, sitting next to Su Qi, found the scene utterly adorable. Though she had guessed the girl's alcohol tolerance would be low, she hadn't imagined half a glass of wine would knock her out completely.

Worried Su Qi would be uncomfortable sleeping in the chair, Bai Miao gently lifted her into her arms. Feeling the girl's light weight and pleasant fragrance, Bai Miao suddenly thought this situation wasn't so bad.

After a quick word to her parents, Bai Miao carried Su Qi to her bedroom and laid her on the clean sheets.

Looking at Su Qi's serene sleeping face and soft pink cheeks, Bai Miao found the young woman incredibly cute.

However, as her gaze drifted lower to Su Qi's rosy lips, Bai Miao suddenly felt the air grow dry. Rembering the girl's sweet taste from before, she unconsciously licked her own lips.

Seeing Su Qi so vulnerable and unguarded, Bai Miao slowly leaned closer. Just before tasting that sweetness again, she murmured softly, as if to the sleeping Su Qi or perhaps to herself: "Little girl, you said it was okay earlier when we got in the car, rember?"

With that, she gently leaned down...
