As long as she takes advantage of this gap to devour Didor, her own strength will rise to a higher level. At that point, whether it's a counter-kill or an escape, it will be much easier for her.

The main strategy is to dance on the tip of a knife.

"Ordinarily, that's how the plot should develop, but I didn't expect this..." Gu Shanhai had just extracted this idea from the thoughts of the other party.

"So I'm your trump card? At least you should have inford ."

Gu Shanhai thought the plan was good, except that he, the person involved, was unaware, leading to the plan being unfeasible; otherwise, it seed fine.

Without his approval, neither the Ascension Empire nor the Heart Demon Dao Soldiers would appear, causing the two sides to remain at a stalemate.

However, it might not continue to stall; the Moon Star Resistance Army might also take action. For instance, if it takes too long to resolve, they might actively find a way to disclose the situation here to the Ascension Empire and express that they, along with their leader Elena, are willing to surrender and accept judgnt.

This would rationally allow the Ascension Empire to attack Didor.

It's not really a plan, just a small trick.

For any normal force, they wouldn't accept such a statent and would just wipe out both sides.

Just a group of bandits, not a major rebel king; beaten almost to the point of collapse and still thinking of seeking amnesty.

Being granted amnesty after committing murder and arson hinges on having enough strength. Liangshan can be granted amnesty, but Er Long Mountain does not have the qualifications and can only be eradicated.

"Therefore, neither the Moon Star Resistance Army nor the Sun Tribe qualifies as a competent rebel force. If this is what they can manage in a rebellion, they might as well submit."

Gu Shanhai reviewed these two forces; their survivability until now is truly all thanks to Gu Shanhai's support.

The Sun Tribe does indeed have formidable combat power like Didor, but if the Ascension Empire wanted to eliminate the Sun Warriors and slaves other than Didor, it would not be a problem. At that point, what remains would be nothing but a wanted criminal, hardly a rebellious force.

Ti slipped by and it was already eight in the morning; the two had confronted each other for five hours, and in the daylight sun, their glare was not as blinding as it had been at midnight.

"The Moon Star Resistance Army has already withdrawn to blow up the lines; this is outrageous."

The Moon Star Resistance Army definitely would not stay long; an hour ago, they had already left the battlefield to prepare for the 'driving-wolf-to-devour-tiger' plan.

"System, notify the intelligent chanisms to deal with all these resistance soldiers." Gu Shanhai naturally would not let them act recklessly, as the intelligent chanisms would not take action.

But the Heart Demon Dao Soldiers could.

Gu Shanhai naturally wouldn't really let the sides remain in a deadlock for too long, nor favor any side; he would arrange a third party that would bring brand new variables to the previously stagnant situation.

With a swing of his long sleeves, a thousand Heart Demon Dao Soldiers appeared, then ford into a battle formation, rushing toward the luminescent area.

...

Elena remained calm; she noticed that Didor seed to have thoughts of retreat, however, she sneered inwardly. At this critical point, if she couldn't finish off the opponent here, she would never find peace in the future.

Just as she was considering waiting for reinforcents to co to the rescue, she suddenly detected a chilling malevolence like a thorn stabbing into her back.

And nearby, Didor's expression also changed, intending to turn and leave imdiately.

Seeing this, Elena unhesitatingly blocked his way.

"Wretch, if you want to die, don't take down with you." Didor was both shocked and angry, he hadn't expected that Elena would stop him; at most, he thought she would only pursue and kill, he never imagined she intended to go down together with him.

"Are you scared? Then I must be right to stop you." Elena smiled sweetly. Although the malicious intent was getting closer, she could pinpoint that it undoubtedly belonged to the forces of the Ascension Empire.

"You... get out of here." Facing the pressure of death, Didor relentlessly broke through Elena's blockade and turned around to flee.

Yet Elena was unaware of this; instead, she kept intercepting him, causing a cold sweat to seep from Didor's forehead, which was then evaporated by the high temperature.

This reckless escape planted a seed of gravity in Elena's heart.

She understood his character well, fearless of heaven and earth, dismissive even of the Ascension Empire, yet now he showed signs of fear; it signified that the coming entity was no simple matter, she feared she might have attracted sothing beyond handling.

But now, she had no choice but to resolve Didor first, otherwise, her efforts would go in vain.

Thus she naturally dragged down Didor's speed of escape forcefully.

This drove Didor to splutter curses furiously.

In the sky, a black line gradually transford into a black celestial curtain, sweeping in like a tidal wave.

Elena at this mont directly faced the fanged monster legion charging forth.

In a flash, she felt as though choked.

"What is this!!!" She shouted with a sharp tone, having assud it was rely a group of chanical constructs, but turned out to be a host of Evil Demons unknown to her.

Didor also heard Elena's voice and couldn't help but sneer, "Is this your reinforcent?"

"Ha, you think you are using these Evil Demons against ? No, you are rely using yourself as bait, having caught a man-eating demon." Didor remarked with a mocking tone, though mocking aside, he did not slow his fleeing pace even a bit.

At this mont, Elena also understood why the ever-arrogant Didor showed fear, and she too felt frightened in his shoes.

The Evil Demons apparently had no intention of sparing her life and seed utterly unapproachable.

"Kill!"

Malevolence intertwined with murderous intent transmuted into a tangible blow, causing Elena to montarily lose focus.

Fortunately, the coldness in the concept force of the moon jolted her back to clarity, as unnoticed, the Demons were drawing closer.

"Let's cooperate temporarily, break through these Demons' encirclent first." Elena unhesitatingly abandoned her so-called vendetta, even forcibly suppressing the yearning to devour within her.

With the urge for survival, she had to make way.

Instinctively, Didor wanted to retort and deride, but feeling the encroaching malevolence, thus nodded in agreent without hesitation.

"Alright!"

Under their joint assault, the brilliance of the sun and moon fended off the approaching malice mightily.

However, the two had no intention to genuinely clash head-on with the Heart Demon Dao Soldiers; they only temporarily held them at bay and then focused on retreating.

They weren't fools; it was clear they weren't a match—charging ahead was nothing short of courting death.

Luckily, after joining forces and not dragging each other down, they finally saw a glimr of hope for a successful escape.

"One more push and we might... you!" As Elena opened to initiate another attempt, she suddenly experienced intense pain in her chest, as a glowing hand pierced through it.

"No need, I believe it's better for you to die." Didor's tone carried a chilling edge.

"Cough, I... didn't expect..." Elena stamringly tried to convey sothing.

"Yes, there are many things you didn't expect, you thought I was brainless, rely a blundering fool, didn't you?" Didor extracted Elena's heart, his tone calm.

Elena desired to comprehend why Didor had changed so much before and after, it baffled her greatly.

"People grow, and my blundering foolishness is a good scapegoat, isn't it?"

Having said that, Didor abruptly crushed Elena's heart, grabbed her body, and vanished in an instant as a stream of light.

Upon leaving, he cast a glance at the gradually receding Heart Demon Dao Soldiers, a chill creeping into his heart.

"This is what you wanted to see, right." Didor didn't know who was controlling it, but he keenly sensed that unless he progressed along a path laid out by certain wills, the demons would close in rather than fade away.
