Ten days passed in the blink of an eye, and Gu Shanhai’s work progressed smoothly.
"We need a force that can confront anomalies, as well as one that can carry the banner."
"Rein is capable of carrying this banner, and you, you need to confront the whole world."
"So, we must fight magic with magic."
Gu Shanhai looked at the virtual shadow in his hand, which resembled a civilization scroll. Before, it was the Saint Pond, but now it was a patch created by Gu Shanhai himself. As long as it was successfully uploaded to the world, they would gain an additional support.
"If the world is the Heavenly Dao, then the anomalies it creates are all of a negative nature, eradicating humanity and civilization at a slow pace."
"Then you are the Human Dao, turning the world from extre yin to yang, creating a positive force in the negativity nad anomaly, capable of countering it."
"Thus, giving rise to weaknesses and laws that all anomalies will produce that can be controlled."
"This is ’Humanity Challenging the Heavens.’"
Without any hesitation, Gu Shanhai uploaded this existence nad Human Dao as a patch to the world.
In that instant, the entire civilization scroll dispersed into stardust, slowly fading away.
Afterward, Gu Shanhai felt a terrifying pressure surge from all directions.
Gradually, a tumultuous ocean appeared before his eyes.
"The core of anomalies, the Information Sea?" Gu Shanhai’s eyes revealed a wealth of data.
Within this ocean, countless rules surfaced and intertwined, forging the existence known as anomalies.
At the sa ti, the Human Dao rged into the Information Sea, clashing yet effortlessly blending into the whole world.
"The world... has changed." Gu Shanhai sensed the entire world quaking, not in a sensory way, but on the level of its fundantal rules.
"I wonder if the Information Sea is more adept, or if I am."
Gu Shanhai could see that the Information Sea had just been born. Although vast like the ocean, its power was insufficient, like a newborn. As long as enough anomalies were born in the future, the Information Sea would also grow stronger.
"Is this a draw?" Gu Shanhai watched as the Information Sea assimilated the Human Dao, which, in turn, deftly altered the anomalies’ foundational logic of the entire Information Sea.
At that mont, a new anomaly was born, nad Human Dao.
Formless and intangible yet omnipresent, it would forever be effective as long as there were humans.
While sheltering humanity and civilization, it also continuously caused disasters triggered by humans.
After the birth of the anomaly called Human Dao, the Information Sea that had erged in front of Gu Shanhai began to recede. This was inherently the most central part of the world. He could see it because he had created the Human Dao together with the world, producing a brand new and extrely powerful anomaly.
Having now accomplished his mission, he naturally could no longer see the Information Sea.
However, in that last mont, he saw a new anomaly forcibly expelled from the Information Sea, a gift from the Human Dao—a novel anomaly to handle other anomalies.
The stronger human civilization beca, the stronger the anomaly called Human Dao would beco, thus it would help and protect humans.
After regaining his senses, Gu Shanhai held a crudely made Crystal Ball in his hand.
"A Crystal Ball that can detect all anomalies of the mortal world?" Gu Shanhai looked at the Crystal Ball in his hand, not imdiately utilizing it. This was one of the abilities of the Dust World Crystal; of course, that’s what it was called among humans. In the anomalies, it was referred to as a flaw or side effect.
The Dust World Crystal’s true function was to shift the entire civilization, but as this was detrintal to humans, its true abilities were considered negative, thus deed a side effect.
Civilization shift isn’t a trivial matter. Even the slightest deviation each ti could lead to major problems, as it affects the whole civilization.
It’s like a progressing civilization moving towards laziness every ti; then the culture decays, and the entire world becos lazy, consequently dood.
"The capabilities at a civilization level are truly terrifying."
However, there was good news—if the Dust World Crystal wasn’t used, then there would be no impact on the entire civilization, like a Pandora’s box, harmless if left unopened.
But that simply wasn’t possible.
"Wait a minute..."
Gu Shanhai suddenly realized sothing—that Rein’s divine ascension, was he truly becoming a god and not an anomaly?
At that mont, Gu Shanhai fell silent. The world, with the help of Human Dao, would accept Rein as a god, but this god was not one from the era of gods but an anomaly nad god within the Abnormal Era.
Was it all worth it?
"So, should I stop Rein’s ascension to godhood?" Gu Shanhai quietly asked himself.
As a master, he could indulge his Disciple in small matters, but he made the decisions on the big ones.
In the Xuanzhen Sect, disciples would ask for help from their elders when seeking revenge against soone they couldn’t defeat. If the issue was too significant, as it was during the ti of the Chengyun Sect disputes with the other two sects, elders wouldn’t let disciples go to their deaths for aningless causes. Instead, they would break their legs to remind them to train seriously and get strong instead of running away.
Respect? That only exists where there is no threat to life.
Thus, after learning the truth, Gu Shanhai did not want Rein to beco a god.
