Rein hesitated not at all in choosing the first option, asking Gu Shanhai to slice off the part that had undergone divine transformation.
"Teacher, aren’t you being a bit harsh?" Rein said, his eyes twitching as he watched Gu Shanhai continuously stuffing various blood-drenched Spirit Plants into the creature’s mouth after the surgery.
"I have to supplent her sohow; the surgery I just did was practically like cutting off half her body. If I don’t feed her so fancy things, how will she live?" Gu Shanhai nonchalantly shoved a whole, blood-covered Snow Lotus, roots and all, down the creature’s throat without caring whether she could digest it.
Shura and the eccentric man both felt their hearts racing at the sight of Gu Shanhai’s actions.
It wasn’t an issue to feed the creature restoratives, but those restoratives were cut from Gu Shanhai himself. They had seen their fair share of extravagant scenes, but they had never encountered a scene like this one.
"At least... stir-fry it a bit," Rein said hesitantly, eventually conceding.
"???"×2
Upon hearing his words, Shura and the eccentric man shifted their stance subtly, their faces betraying no emotion. Was the issue really about whether to stir-fry or not? Gu Shanhai was using parts of his own body to nourish plants and then feeding them to others; they had watched as he stuffed chunks laden with blood and flesh into the creature’s belly.
This was hardly different from cannibalism.
"Why are you making such a fuss? Should I also stir-fry so caral for you?" Gu Shanhai said sowhat exasperatedly.
Rein chuckled awkwardly, then added, "Eating Spirit Plants is fine, but teacher, isn’t there a risk of indigestion if you include your flesh and blood as well?"
He had heard about indigestion from Little White, so he was a bit concerned.
"Should I juice it for you?" Gu Shanhai’s eye twitched.
"..." Rein was sowhat baffled. Would juicing make it easier to digest?
"Juicing won’t make it much easier to digest. The main thing is that it provides nutrition. My technique here offers a perfect balance of at and plant matter," Gu Shanhai spoke earnestly.
Simultaneously, Shura and the eccentric man’s pupils constricted when they saw Gu Shanhai’s hand disintegrate into a ss.
"Don’t be scared; I’m actually a plant person," Gu Shanhai quipped, noticing the players’ reactions and went on to explain.
The two players were sowhat horrified. They were beginning to understand why Gu Shanhai was stronger than them—this mad, daredevil attitude could either lead him to the pinnacle of the pyramid or make him the lowest clown.
Rein, however, was no stranger to such oddities; by now, these ranked as minor quirks. They had consud Maoxuewang before, and sotis, at the drop of a hat, they would resort to heart-and-lung-dissecting antics. It was fortunate that they were only missing internal organs now, or else the sight could be even more ghastly.
Eventually, you beco desensitized to the horror from overexposure.
"Alright, I’m taking this stuff and leaving. Don’t feed her any more of this nonsense for the next few days." After saying this and moving his newly regrown hand, Gu Shanhai was ready to turn away and leave.
Rein hastily got up to see him off.
"Teacher, why don’t you stay?" Rein suggested.
"No way; I’ve got a pile of work on my hands. In a few days, I have to deliver another batch of custom gear. It’s getting more and more each ti. Last ti, I modified ten million pieces of equipnt; no telling how much it’ll increase this ti." Gu Shanhai sighed, looking weary.
anwhile, Shura and the eccentric man exchanged glances. They knew the Silver Saint and Snow Stone Saint provided players with skills, but they hadn’t realized that the other reward involving customized equipnt was being handled by Gu Shanhai.
Thoughts began to form in their minds, like approaching Gu Shanhai directly might secure them better equipnt.
"Are you that busy?" Rein was surprised, not expecting Gu Shanhai to be so diligent. Back in Five Elents Sect City, Gu Shanhai hardly ever lifted a finger out of laziness: "You’re not going to wear yourself out, are you?"
Even the Silver Saint couldn’t keep up; with both him and the Snow Stone Saint working together, how could Gu Shanhai alone not suffer from overwork?
"I’m okay, now stop seeing out. I need to get back," Gu Shanhai waved his hand, indicating that Rein should attend to the patient.
After that, he stepped out of the house, ready to use the Five Elents Great Escape to leave, when he suddenly heard Shura call out to him, "Friend, would you be interested in making a deal?"
Gu Shanhai turned around to look and saw Shura and the eccentric man approach.
"A deal? What kind of deal?" Gu Shanhai sized up the two of them. He was indeed interested; if he could get sothing valuable from them, it would probably be quite decent.
"We’re looking to get you to custom-make a set of equipnt. You set the price; as long as it’s reasonable, we’re good," the eccentric man chid in.
"No problem, but I don’t accept Ga Coins. I only do bartering, taking high-value items, skills, or various other objects in exchange for the equipnt you require. The value can be cumulative from different items, not just a single value." This trade was within Gu Shanhai’s expectations.
"Higher value?" Shura raised an eyebrow, seemingly a bit displeased.
"What, you expect an equal value exchange? Wouldn’t that an I’m working for free?" Gu Shanhai smiled, "The choice is yours, not mine. If you don’t accept, I’ll leave now, and if you want to trade, it’ll have to wait until next ti."
Gu Shanhai was, of course, indifferent; with his skills, he didn’t need to bend to their will.
"That’s acceptable, but you can only choose from what I offer." The eccentric man spoke up, regardless of what Shura thought, as they were not connected. He was willing to agree since a set of custom-made gear could greatly enhance his power. The equipnt he desired was priceless and unattainable, with no place to purchase it.
