"Hello, may I ask if there is a young man nad Rein in your adventure team? Can I et him?" Gu Shanhai arrived at the territory of the Green Light Adventure Team and started politely.
A tall woman leading the group glanced at Gu Shanhai with arrogance and disdainfully said, "He left the adventure team, just left not long ago. You should try looking sowhere else."
Gu Shanhai, puzzled by the news, thought, Left the team? That shouldn’t be.
"Oh, okay, thank you." Gu Shanhai didn’t think the woman was lying, as he could read the emotional fluctuations in her voice.
"Wait a mont, what do you want with him?" Another portly woman asked.
"Oh, I am his uncle, I ca..." Gu Shanhai hadn’t finished speaking when he was interrupted.
"That’s great timing then, take these things with you to avoid him finding reasons to co back." Saying this, the woman pulled out three large suitcases.
Gu Shanhai pretended to struggle and said, "I can’t move them..."
Soone snickered, but the person showed no consideration and placed the items outside the camp.
"That’s your responsibility. Also, tell Rein, a toad shouldn’t dream of eating swan at. We’ve housed such a freeloader like him for years now; he should be grateful." A woman said contemptuously before slamming the door shut.
"..."
What was happening? It had just been three days, how had Rein been kicked out so suddenly?
"Holy shit..." Gu Shanhai suddenly realized sothing, that this might not be about being ineffective but about being dismissed.
He never imagined this scenario, yet now was the ti for the protagonist to rise.
"Little White, grab the stuff and let’s go!" Gu Shanhai called out. Little White leaped out, grabbed the three large suitcases onto his back, and took Gu Shanhai to find Rein.
Rein normally lived at the Green Light Adventure Team’s camp since he had nowhere else to stay, unlike other mbers who, being direct mbers of major adventure teams, had much better family circumstances.
So, after being driven out, Rein certainly had nowhere to live. This was the perfect opportunity to lend a helping hand.
Finding Rein was simple; Little White just followed his scent.
Believe it or not, they actually found Rein.
At that mont, he was inside an herbal dicine shop talking with the owner, trying to find a place to stay.
"Rein!!!" Gu Shanhai shouted.
With Little White’s size, it quickly drew the attention of everyone on the street, including Rein.
Rein, looking a bit puzzled, glanced at Little White and the descending Gu Shanhai.
"Who are you?" Rein asked as Gu Shanhai grabbed his hand, causing him to feel uneasy.
The two found a secluded spot and began to communicate further.
"I am your uncle. I even held you when you were younger. Your father, Lei Batian, thought he might run into trouble, so he asked to look after you. But by the ti I arrived, your house was empty. I searched for you in Leixuan City for over a year."
"Later, I heard you were taken to another city via the Teleportation Array. It took eight years to finally find you. It hasn’t been easy..."
Gu Shanhai was almost in tears, which sowhat overwheld Rein who had no mory of Gu Shanhai.
"I... I need a mont." Rein wasn’t suspicious, mainly because he had nothing that could be exploited, and Gu Shanhai’s story checked out.
"Oh, no problem. Take your ti."
"By the way, I went to the Green Light Adventure Team looking for you and heard you had left the team, leaving so stuff behind. I brought it along for you." Gu Shanhai said, pointing at the three large suitcases on Little White’s back.
"Thank... Thank you, uncle." Rein felt awkward with Gu Shanhai’s familiarity, but given the relationship, he still called him uncle.
"Don’t ntion it, we’re family after all. You probably have nowhere to live right now, right? Co on, co with , you’ll live comfortably."
Rein glanced at Gu Shanhai, who had no visible rank, and sighed, "Uncle, I want to be an adventurer."
His words implied a refusal as he felt Gu Shanhai intended for him to give up his adventurer career.
"Well, then be one. It’s not like I’m stopping you. Besides, you’ve already been dismissed from the team, so are you planning to go solo or start your own adventure team?" Gu Shanhai asked.
"I’m planning to start my own adventure team." Rein didn’t hide his intentions.
"That’s great, but how do you plan to start it?" Gu Shanhai asked.
"Well... First thing, I need a base, I..."
"I’ll handle that," Gu Shanhai imdiately responded.
Rein was surprised. Could that be resolved too?
"However, it’s not in Sen Cui City. What do you think?" Gu Shanhai suggested.
Hearing this, Rein pondered for a mont. It wasn’t that he thought it impossible, but in Cui Sen City he had a relative advantage, knowing all the surrounding adventure areas well enough to quickly rise.
However, he realized that the adventure locations didn’t make much of a difference to him.
In Cui Sen City he barely had any support, whereas following this newly appeared uncle might offer more help.
