Gu Shanhai lurked from afar, the Heroic Knights not far away had completely unlocked the enchantnt realm, and as he was cautiously preparing to make his move, he couldn’t help but feel his heart skip a beat.

"Danger intuition activated?"

"There’s danger inside, and it’s even telling to turn around and run imdiately, isn’t it a minor on of misfortune?"

Before Gu Shanhai arrived, he had perford a prophetic divination, which, although sowhat vague, had indeed indicated a minor on of misfortune.

"Since I’m already here, I think... maybe I’ll still give it a try." Gu Shanhai mumbled to himself, thinking that it definitely wasn’t suitable to just leave according to his previous inclinations. He was already here, after all; he had to take a look at what called forth his long-silent intuition for danger and the instinct to seek good fortune and avoid disaster, both of which were telling him to run.

Just as he was about to send over a batch of summoned creatures, he heard a violent commotion not far away. Following that, the mbers of the Heroic Knights were sent flying one after another, landing on the ground like a bunch of rag dolls.

A gloomy aura spread rapidly, causing Gu Shanhai’s expression to tighten, "Undead??? No, it’s a curse!"

Then he saw a group of monsters, stitched together from various animals, swarming out of the enchantnt realm. Their bloodthirsty and frenzied appearance was enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

"An enchantnt realm containing a large number of cursed creatures, a pretty good spot for grinding monsters, looks like the Heroic Knights found a good place," Gu Shanhai said with lips pursed, but in reality, he sprung up and turned to sprint away at full speed.

Stay behind and fight these cursed creatures? Impossible, not only was there no benefit, but there was also a high risk of being left behind, and it was clear that their attacks carried curses that could assimilate him once they took hold.

Even though he had the ans to purify curses, he had no intention of taking that risk. The balance between risk and reward was off; it wasn’t worth risking his life against so many creatures for just a few trifling items.

Images of the monsters flashed through Gu Shanhai’s mind, followed by further simulation; he reached a terrifying realization.

"It’s them! The ones who destroyed the castle and the town!"

The nature of the cursed creatures and the way the mbers of the Heroic Knights died confird this.

Players disappear after death, leaving no corpse, or otherwise, the sky would be littered with chunks of remains.

"There’s a bigger problem here. The town is so close yet it wasn’t destroyed; there must be more to this." Gu Shanhai made his hasty escape, quickly vanishing without a trace, swiftly leaving the battlefield.

Much credit for his escape went to the Heroic Knights, whose distraction and obstruction prevented Gu Shanhai from being targeted.

"It’s rare for intuition to kick in, and it turns out it’s a trap. Now, it seems I’ve underestimated the situation indicated by the minor on of misfortune."

He had faced minor ons before, such as with the Water Seeking Beast Akfan and the Banshee, where his success largely depended on exploiting Akfan’s significant weaknesses; otherwise, its strength was not to be underestimated.

These cursed creatures were difficult to kill. The simplest way to defeat them would be to lift the curses they bore, but Gu Shanhai had little research on curses. There were so legacies related to curses within the Marksmanship, but they were sparse, after all, Marksmanship belonged to traditional Druidry, which didn’t focus much on thods of cursing.

If it were an ordinary curse, Gu Shanhai could have given it a try, but the group of cursed creatures across from him was clearly not ordinary.

"How strange, why is there no movent now, and even the danger intuition has vanished?" Gu Shanhai had been running for about ten minutes and then suddenly stopped, noticing that the cursed creatures that had surged out like water not only did not pursue him, but also made no move at all.

"Didn’t go into the town? What’s the situation, or is it that they cannot move beyond a certain distance from the enchantnt realm?"

Gu Shanhai leaped onto a nearby tree, climbing to the highest point, and took a distant look, finding that all had returned to tranquility as if nothing had happened.

The players had all perished, and upon death, they would be reclaid, leaving no leftover parts scattered around. This was except in special worlds like horror or supernatural genres, where body tissues would be left behind; in most others, they simply vanished.

He silently subrged back into hiding. The enchantnt realm remained open, but after about a hundred ters, the chaotic traces on the ground ended abruptly.

"These cursed creatures did not attack the town. Instead, after killing the players, they retreated back. What... what does this an?" Gu Shanhai was puzzled, this was completely different from what he had expected.

He thought he would see scenes reminiscent of Purgatory, but instead, it was a rural idyll.

"And now the danger intuition is gone too, aning that as long as I don’t stir up trouble, I won’t be in danger for my life."

"That’s true, wherever I go looking for trouble, there are life-threatening risks," Gu Shanhai comnted to himself.

After so thought, he eventually summoned the Fierce General to help him explore the situation further.

He had considered using divination, but with a thod that did not consu his lifespan and was more efficient, naturally, he chose the Fierce General.

The Fierce General quickly entered the enchantnt realm, and using remote surveillance equipnt, Gu Shanhai soon observed the situation inside. Yes, Gu Shanhai had equipped the Fierce General with monitoring...

He wasn’t a fool; he had purchased and stockpiled dozens of sets of surveillance equipnt in his portable lab, with various models available.

"Lucky the signal isn’t an issue; otherwise, I’d really be blind."
