The Poison Dragon Nidhogg rolled all over the ground after being lashed by the Seven-Star Whip. Normally, with that force, it'd be turned into minceat and sent flying. However, Gu Shanhai controlled his strength, so it was just rolling in pain on the ground.

Mimir watched the scene, hesitated twice before finally speaking: "The Poison Dragon Hodnig doesn't have hooves, so it can't kick with its rear legs."

"That's all you ca up with after such a long silence..." Gu Shanhai was a bit dumbfounded, not expecting Mimir to co up with such a sarcastic remark.

"What should I have said?" Mimir retorted playfully.

Vidar, standing nearby, was also watching in a bit of a daze. Of course, it might just be because he always had that serious look, a bit of a poker face that couldn't show emotional change.

However, seeing Gu Shanhai lash out at the Poison Dragon Nidhogg, he was obviously stunned.

He was powerful, but definitely not a match for Nidhogg. If he had the power to kill Nidhogg, he would have done it long ago rather than watching Nidhogg gnaw on the World Tree.

It's known that the turning point of Ragnarok, this doomsday battle, was when the Poison Dragon Nidhogg hollowed out the roots of the World Tree.

Without this, Ragnarok would be indefinitely postponed.

"I thought you had sothing profound to say, but it turned out to be just sarcasm." Gu Shanhai glanced at Nidhogg, who had gotten up and was flicking its tongue at him, his face darkening: "No manners at all, dare to stick out its tongue and make faces at ."

"Alright, today I must teach you a lesson in manners!"

With that, the Seven-Star Whip in Gu Shanhai's hand landed on Nidhogg with crackling sounds.

With each lash, a large number of scales on Nidhogg's body shattered, and the areas without scales were naturally lashed until the skin split open, bleeding profusely.

Luckily, the blood in Nidhogg's body was venom, so there was no worry about it being too shocking in color.

"I think Nidhogg might be begging for rcy," Vidar observed, reminding as he wasn't really concerned for the Poison Dragon Nidhogg, but worried that if Gu Shanhai beat Nidhogg to death, they wouldn't have a ride later.

Not to ntion, using Nidhogg is indeed very convenient, given its large size and decent speed.

With the force Gu Shanhai was using, Vidar was scared just watching.

"Impossible, absolutely impossible, it's just being defiant, you see it's still being stubborn, not willing to beg for rcy."

"If it just opened its mouth, I would know what it was thinking," Gu Shanhai stated as if he had experience with such matters.

Vidar glanced at Nidhogg, whose head was already deford. He felt Gu Shanhai was simply angry at losing face and wanted to vent on Nidhogg.

With injuries like Nidhogg's, even if it wanted to beg for rcy, it couldn't.

It had already been very difficult to flick its tongue earlier, and now it couldn't even do that since Gu Shanhai had already lashed its tongue into mush.

"Why not save it for Asgard? Mimir, being smart, imdiately understood Gu Shanhai's idea, tactfully suggesting they hurry on their way. Since the Poison Dragon Nidhogg was under their control, they could deal with it after their business was done, if Gu Shanhai got tired of lashing, he could let Vidar take over.

Upon hearing this, Gu Shanhai nodded.

"Alright, I'll let you have the honor this ti."

After speaking, he turned to Nidhogg with a very nasty tone: "I'll rember this. If you offend again next ti, it won't just be another whipping; the punishnt will be doubled."

Nidhogg quickly nodded, knowing that if it weren't for its remaining value, even though the lashings wouldn't be fatal, the tornt would certainly be worse than death, unbearable.

"Good that you rember, don't just rember the eating but not the beating. Next ti won't be so easy." Gu Shanhai said, his expression softening.

With Gu Shanhai's reassurance, Nidhogg also breathed a sigh of relief. The other side was not planning to continue torturing it, otherwise, it really couldn't take it.

Yet with injuries covering its body, reaching Asgard successfully wouldn't be easy.

"Vidar, do you have any healing artifacts?" Mimir asked, knowing he had none since he was just a head, no body or place to keep anything.

Vidar shook his head: "No."

Having survived was impressive in itself; wanting any artifact was too naive.

"No worries, I know healing magic," Gu Shanhai's face brightened up, recalling his original role as a support, skilled in auras, and specialized in healing magic.

However, now his healing magic, though lacking healing effect, was quite extraordinary.

Finally having a wounded to deal with without tily data, serendipity perhaps.

Vidar and Mimir had no particular reaction, but the Poison Dragon Nidhogg seed uneasy. It felt Gu Shanhai might not be as simple as he seed.

The issue was, it wanted to resist, but fundantally couldn't.

There was no room for it to speak now, especially as it couldn't even open its mouth at the mont.

It could only watch wide-eyed as Gu Shanhai cast a healing spell upon it.

Initially, nothing happened, then ca a tickling sensation.

Visible to the naked eye, the bloodied flesh began crawling, countless flesh tendrils sprouted like wild grass, pale and severely twisted.

"Ahem, are you sure this is healing magic?" Mimir opened his mouth, sowhat helpless.

Now the Poison Dragon Nidhogg was covered in heaving fleshy tendril appendages, binding it firmly in place.

However, the healing effect was exceptional, as the nearly dead Nidhogg, who found it hard to even lift its head earlier, could now struggle for its life after being treated.

After all, if it didn't struggle now, in the subsequent monts, it could directly et its end without needing to struggle further.

Gu Shanhai's healing magic was all about survival of the fittest.

Soon, a large number of tendril appendages began to congeal, appearing tumor-like upon first glance, but upon closer inspection, displaying snake-like heads.

Furthermore, these heads were beginning to develop their own consciousness.

Indeed, Gu Shanhai's "survival of the fittest" ant just that. If Nidhogg couldn't eliminate the consciousness of these heads, it would split into nurous independent consciousnesses, a standard situation, unless Nidhogg was overtaken by the new consciousnesses.

By then, it wouldn't be the Poison Dragon Nidhogg anymore, but a brand new creature, which could be called Nine-Headed Snake, or Hundred-Headed Snake, anyway, however many heads it eventually had would define its na.

That way Gu Shanhai wouldn't have to bother naming it.

"This is certainly healing magic, the effect is undeniable." Gu Shanhai reasoned, healing magic could heal, as for additional effects outweighing the healing benefits, that was his prerogative. It was his healing magic, how could outsiders dictate it?

Not to ntion multiple effects, even if he wanted to add burning, freezing, and other special effects, it was up to him.

"The effect is indeed good, just seems not quite akin to typical healing scenarios." Mimir glanced over, unable to refute since results were normal, despite seeming slightly off.

"Exactly, no need to care about the details, those who achieve great things ignore trivialities!" Gu Shanhai expressed, being a person unconcerned with the trivial.

Mimir, also unable to assess how to evaluate Gu Shanhai's approach.

The effect was indeed excellent, the previously dying Nidhogg was swiftly revived, struggling vigorously, a stark contrast to earlier.

"This isn't rely about ignoring details," Mimir sighed, noting this seed to be preparing to change the species of the Poison Dragon Nidhogg.
