"That's not right, why am I assuming these things? It's not like I'm really trying to complete a closed loop."
"And speaking of a closed loop, it might more resemble a second tiline that's been overwritten."
Gu Shanhai quickly realized this might not be a ti loop but a tiline overwrite.
The technique of ti has never been about a ti loop, but rather tiline overwrite.
He and the World Tree leaf traveled back in ti together to reshape a new tiline.
"So, this is actually the third tiline..."
The first one was the Wizard World before Gu Shanhai's rebirth, which was the most orthodox tiline.
However, due to his reincarnation interference, this tiline was affected by a butterfly effect caused by the appearance of the Naiselre Empire, making the Wizard World unattainable, thus forming the second tiline.
Now, he's in the third tiline, arriving in the era of Ragnarok, and with his arrival, he's unsure what changes will ensue.
So, a ti loop essentially doesn't exist; even if Gu Shanhai doesn't go, other survivors could create the Dual-star Celestial Body to stabilize the world cluster.
It's just that he doesn't know how long this all took.
"That's not right, either. What exactly is this thing called 'Fla of Life'?" Gu Shanhai suddenly rembered, the core of the Hunting Star is the Fla of Life, it can't possibly be a fla of destruction, right?
It certainly isn't, because if it were that fla, how could the Destructive Frost be its opponent? They should be allies, working together to destroy worlds within the cluster.
So Gu Shanhai is more inclined to believe that it's not this world-burning fla but one acquired from elsewhere.
Gu Shanhai sat on the Supre Throne, pondering. Other than the fact this fla could burn skin, everything else was pretty decent, as it offered a broad view of everything.
Before he could co to any conclusions, he saw sothing. He saw the trail of Poison Dragon Nidhogg, who was consuming corpses.
"They call it a dragon, but it's actually a snake, and a giant one at that."
Gu Shanhai watched the massive, winged Black Dragon advancing with a pack of venomous snakes, gathering corpses along the way.
Climbing from the third root of the Nine Worlds, burdened with nurous corpses, it wasn't afraid of the flas.
"I see, a while ago it gnawed on the roots of the World Tree, and now it's just erging."
If it had co out earlier, Nidhogg wasn't foolish; it'd be walking right into a battlefield, whether it was the Giant Sea, the God Race, or Loki's offspring, each was an imnsely powerful presence.
Had it erged, it surely wouldn't have fared well, so it waited until after Ragnarok to appear.
"You can't do the work, but you're a champion when it cos to als, eh?" Gu Shanhai sneered coldly.
Without Gu Shanhai, it would have indeed had its way, but since Gu Shanhai was here, those corpses wouldn't be left for it, as Gu Shanhai would have use for them.
Even a mythical world that's past its mythic age and on the brink of destruction holds imnse value.
Especially in a world with no defined power levels and various potent forces, if Gu Shanhai could acquire them, he might be able to leverage this system to further strengthen himself, such as by perfecting his flawed mory projection technology.
He only wanted to project mories to the past as a bug fix, not his entire being.
Fortunately, this ti he traveled far enough back in ti, otherwise, if he had crossed to when he first arrived, those two selves might have ended up staring each other down.
"Is it a convergence of tilines?"
At this thought, a sudden burst of inspiration occurred in Gu Shanhai's mind.
He grasped a crucial point!
"Yes, it's tiline convergence, making the only one on the entire tiline!"
"I am the sole existence, past, present, and future altogether."
"Well, that sounds pretty distant, with my energy, I simply can't support it."
"New folder, then let it collect dust."
Gu Shanhai was very rational; completing this would not be easy. It would at least require mastering the mory projection technology to the past before it could be done.
Of course, if he wanted the flawed version, that was possible. The problem was he didn't have a second leaf of the World Tree to act as a ti safeguard for himself.
Using it would essentially be a death sentence.
"Better go capture Nidhogg first, or it'll climb to Jotunheim, and that's exactly where I'm headed."
Gu Shanhai couldn't see the condition of the Fountain of Wisdom and Knowledge from the Supre Throne because the second root was collapsed, preventing his gaze from piercing through the throne.
As for using Spiritual Sense, the distance was too great, and his Spiritual Sense would ignite.
"Each one of them is specialized in world destruction." Gu Shanhai complained, the Destructive Frost was like this, and even the world-burning fla had the sa nature.
He left the Supre Throne, instantly arriving at the path Poison Dragon Nidhogg was climbing.
Seizing the mont before the dragon could react, he kicked it squarely in the head.
The trendous force struck Nidhogg's head, leaving a terrifying depression.
Besides the injury, the impact sent Poison Dragon Nidhogg, who was climbing the burning World Tree, crashing back to the base.
Nidhogg hadn't even registered what had happened, only the searing pain.
Nevertheless, its body was incredibly strong, and the wound on its head began healing quickly. Then, with rage, it charged up again seeking revenge.
Terrifying venom also poured forth.
Even though Gu Shanhai remained unseen, the venom surged like a flood, dousing a significant portion of the flas. However, when it touched the World Tree's trunk, already burning, the venom only weakened it further.
Witnessing this, Gu Shanhai was a bit surprised by Nidhogg's capabilities.
"I wonder if my dinsion pocket can hold it all." Gu Shanhai didn't plan to dodge, nor to let any venom go to waste.
He intended to gather all the venom and see if it could serve as material or resources, or perhaps use it to evolve a new race.
He swung his sleeve, which matched the size of the entire World Tree, and before the flood of venom reached him, it was all swept into his cyan sleeve.
At first, Nidhogg didn't notice since it couldn't see, just spewed venom.
However, over ti, it began to sense sothing amiss.
'Could it be that Ymir isn't dead?' Nidhogg imdiately thought of the giant sea serpent encircling the world.
But before it could finish the thought, it spotted a small figure approaching.
There was no aura, no scent; only visible to the eye, no other sense could identify what it was.
"Are you the one who spat at my face earlier?" Gu Shanhai stared at Nidhogg, his tone unfriendly, his aura unwavering despite their enormous size difference.
Nidhogg's eyes filled with wariness. It was puzzled; this person was clearly not of the God Race, nor a giant, more like a mortal from Midgard.
Yet only appeared mortal, certainly not truly one.
No mortal could traverse through flas, nor refer to its venom as spit.
"So you're not admitting it, are you? Fine, today I'll show you why flowers are red!" Gu Shanhai sneered.
