Chapter 757: Jack vs. The Red Herald Part VII

Fifteen seconds had elapsed since the Herald pinned Jack beneath its massive weight.

The Herald’s breathing had bee increasingly frantic, each inhalation drawing more of the red cloud into its lungs, more of Jack’s technique into its body.

The creature’s massive head jerked from side to side, its golden eyes wide with dawning prehension that something catastrophic had occurred, that the moment of triumph had transformed into something far worse than mere bat disadvantage.

The air within the localized perimeter grew thick, weighted down by an oppressive, iron-scented pressure.

The ambient temperature plummeted as the boiling demonic mana began to phase-shift from a volatile gas into something dense and suffocating.

The dragon’s legendary instinct, honed over centuries of dominance at the right hand of the Dragon King, began to scream.

He felt the microscopic particles of the mist settling along the sensitive membranes of its secondary throat-sac, clinging to the ancient, flame-producing organs deep within its chest.

Every instinct that had kept the creature alive through eras of continental warfare was firing at once, warning it that the environment itself had been weaponized against its very biology.

The Herald’s voice erupted from its ruined throat.

”E OUT!” the creature screamed, its words distorted by damage and desperation, the sound vibrating across the desolate plain like a splitting tectonic plate. “Show yourself, you coward! Face me! FACE ME!”

The mist swirled around the creature’s head, moving in patterns. The mist had consciousness, intention, and malevolent purpose as it followed its master’s will.

The Herald’s breathing pulled more of the cloud inward, and with each breath, Jack redistributed the mist further into the creature’s body.

The blood mist was no longer merely surrounding the dragon. It was inside it, permeating the creature’s lungs, mixing with its essence, saturating every primary capillary and major arterial pathway.

Jack’s consciousness was everywhere within that thirty-meter perimeter, feeling the raw, pulsing heat of the Emperor-rank’s internal biology.

He could feel the exact density of the dragon’s heart wall, the precise curvature of its reinforced spine, and the heavy, calcium-rich plating of its pelvic cradle.

The trap was fully set.

The executioner was already breathing inside the king’s veins, weaving through the very life force that the dragon had relied upon to conquer kingdoms.

The mist was no longer just an attack; it was a physical takeover, a quiet colonization of the apex predator’s inner workings.

Jack slammed his hands together.

The motion was violent, his palms connecting with such force that the kinetic shockwave shattered the lingering stone fragments on the ground beneath him. The sound of the impact echoed across the wasteland like a thunderclap, a definitive signal that the preparation phase was over and the execution had begun.

[Blood Demon Arts 6th Form: Demonic Mist — Second Act]

The second half of the skill was activated with catastrophic, frame-by-frame precision. The red mist that occupied the space within and around the Herald’s body underwent a fundamental structural transformation.

The gaseous mana crystallized instantly, hardening into dense, solid matter with the sharpness of refined demonic steel.

Ten colossal blood spears erupted from inside the creature simultaneously.

The spears materialized with the force of divine punishment, each one ranging from thirty to fifty meters in length, their forms massive and jagged.

They didn’t emerge gradually or pierce outward toward the inside. They materialized at full scale with instantaneous, explosive violence, tearing through the Herald’s internal structure from the inside outward, shredding through muscle, bone, and reinforced scales without a single millisecond of resistance.

The first spear punched through the creature’s left lung.

The penetration was catastrophic.

The organ, already damaged from the repeated Abyssal Rupture impacts, was pierced as the crystallized blood expanded.

The spear’s trajectory carried it upward through the primary bronchial pathways, shattering the thick ribs and tearing violently out through the Herald’s external scales, creating an exit wound large enough to acmodate multiple humans.

Blood erupted from the puncture with the force of a high-pressure geyser, spraying outward in a violent, steaming arc that painted the barren wasteland crimson.

The sheer force of the protrusion tore the surrounding muscles away from the skeletal frame, leaving jagged bone shards exposed to the cold air.

The second spear tore through the Herald’s heart.

The massive organ seized mid-beat, pierced through multiple chambers simultaneously by a jagged spike of hardened demonic essence.

The creature’s entire body convulsed with violent tremors as the fundamental pump that sustained its legendary existence was violated.

Electrical impulses misfired wildly across the traumatized, bleeding tissue.

The spear’s exit wound was so massive that it created a secondary cavity in the Herald’s chest. In this plete void, ancient muscle and dense bone had been reduced to pulverized, unrecognizable matter.

The dragon’s ancient bloodline, dense with power, splattered across the stone in rhythmic, dying pulses.

The third spear bisected the Herald’s spine.

The creature’s scream reached frequencies that shouldn’t have been possible from a damaged throat, a sound of pure agony that tore through the sky.

The vertebral column, the immovable structure that had supported centuries of life, conquest, and draconic dominion, was severed with surgical precision.

Nerve endings fired in cascading, erratic sequences as signals that had traveled this pathway for millennia were instantly interrupted by the intrusion of demonic steel.

The Herald’s back arched with involuntary, terrifying violence, muscles spasming out of control as the creature’s nervous system registered trauma that exceeded any biological capacity to process.

The entire lower half of the beast went pletely dead, the connection to its brain permanently severed.

The fourth spear pierced the creature’s liver.

The dense organ ruptured under the sudden, explosive expansion of the spear, releasing accumulated bile and dark blood into the Herald’s abdominal cavity.

The spear didn’t merely puncture; it shredded, tearing through the soft internal tissue with razor-sharp edges that gleamed with raw demonic power.

The exit wound was a grotesque tear through the underbelly, exposing the smoking interior of the Herald’s body to the open air.

The chemical and physical trauma bined to dissolve the surrounding tissue, creating a horrific display of internal decay in mere seconds.

The fifth spear drove through the Herald’s right lung.

The mirror image of the first violation, this spear created a matching exit wound on the opposite side of the creature’s massive torso.

Both lungs were now promised beyond any hope of recovery, their delicate, oxygen-filtering structures transformed into useless, shredded tissue.

The Herald’s breathing, already labored from the internal mist, became something between a sickening rattle and a desperate gasp.

Air could no longer be trapped within the chest; it simply whistled out of the massive side wounds, carrying ribbons of dark froth with it.

The sixth spear pierced the creature’s right kidney.

The organ, already heavily stressed from maintaining the equilibrium of the Herald’s massive frame, was utterly obliterated.

The spear’s passage created a catastrophic wound channel that seemed to drill through layers of dense tissue and thick scale without a shred of resistance.

Blackened blood immediately filled the surrounding cavity, mixing with other bodily fluids in a grotesque amalgamation of internal trauma.

The systemic shock of the organ’s destruction sent a wave of freezing cold through the dragon’s remaining active nervous pathways.
