Chapter 725: Chapter 602: This is impossible, it completely defies the laws of chanics!

A piercing alarm resonated within the battleship. Monts earlier, discussions had been ongoing about how to handle this primitive civilization’s geotric inhabitants, but now, a sense of solemnity enveloped the room as lights indicative of high alert flared up around them.

“What’s the situation? Is it cosmic turbulence or a massive teor shower?” the governor inquired seriously.

“No, neither. It’s a civilization-made object with clear signs of modification, approaching at an incredibly high speed!” the monitoring officer transmitted through rapid electromagnetic waves. “Based on its trajectory, there’s a ninety percent chance it originates from the indigenous civilization of our target planet…”

“Incredibly fast?” the governor paused, “Did you get a reading? How fast is it exactly?”

At that sa mont, the monitoring officer also received detailed information from the sensor, surrounded by a multitude of colored lights— a sign of ntal disarray. It took him a while before he could respond in a fragnted transmission.

“One and a half tis… the speed of light!”

This response plunged everyone aboard the interstellar warship into silence and awe, as multicolored lights began to manifest around everyone.

“That’s impossible, could there be an error in the detection?” A geotric alien voiced the first doubt, the speed of light being the ultimate speed limit in known cosmic space. How could a planet-level civilization, which hadn’t fully occupied even this galaxy, create sothing that travels at one and a half tis the speed of light?

As so crew mbers fell into a state of doubt and panic, the monitoring officer suddenly spoke up again.

“Wait… it seems like it’s not entirely heading in our direction…”

If it continued on its current path, it would bypass them by a distance of three atomic hours.

Relieved by this information, the governor’s body relaxed, and the flickering multicolored lights quickly settled. Perhaps this was not a creation of the target planet’s natives but rather a detector from so advanced civilization, just accidentally passing through that galaxy and their vicinity.

“Wait… it suddenly changed its direction!” the monitoring officer’s electromagnetic waves grew intensely stronger, indicating his emotions reaching the climax. “This is unreasonable, impossible!”

According to the detector’s feedback, the tal object had made a blunt-angle turn of 120 degrees without any deceleration, and its speed had actually increased throughout the maneuver!

This completely defied the principles of dynamics!

After all, force is mutually exerted, and regardless of the type of thruster used, speed should inevitably decline significantly during a turn or direction change. Yet, the object maintained its superluminal speed throughout, tracing a perfect arc through the void!

No, the monitoring officer suddenly thought of a type of engine that might be capable of such a feat, but before he could speak up, an electromagnetic wave had already transmitted the information.

“It’s Curvature Engine Technology!” declared the governor, his body emanating light that signified terror, growing increasingly intense.

Like a contagious disease, this terror spread throughout the spacecraft. Everyone understood what the Curvature Engine implied—it represented the pinnacle of research from their ho world, a technology still veiled in secrecy, and yet, their adversaries had mastered its use!

A geotric alien, square-shaped, was particularly panicked. “A trap… this is a trap!”

From the mont they received the coordinates, he had suspected deceit. After all, considering the long ti that had passed, the sudden transmission from those missing exploration fleets was utterly abnormal.

The only explanation was a bait, a trap to lure them!

“How far is it from us now, has this tal object begun to decelerate?” the governor transmitted urgently.

“No, it’s accelerating, they are still accelerating!” replied the monitor, filled with terror.

“Attack, attack imdiately!” the governor commanded decisively with the highest intensity of electromagnetic waves.

At such close range, with no signs of deceleration, and instead, a further increase in speed, it ant that the object was not here for peaceful communication or negotiation. There was only one possibility left: the object was here to destroy them!

And with their navigational speed at a disadvantage, there was no possibility of escape!

Powerful electromagnetic waves transmitted the signal. Fifteen disc-shaped warships imdiately opened their vessels’ launch ports. Dark black dots rapidly ford in the void and then the point expanded explosively a thousand atomic seconds later, transforming into intense beams of light from various directions, striking towards the unknown tal object.

This was the superweapon capable of destroying a planet in an instant— the Star Annihilation Cannon!

Elsewhere aboard the Eternal Star, within the council’s combat command center, a gathering of speakers and senior council mbers was convened. According to Lynn’s estimates, their rudintary spacecraft would et the alien fleet within a few days.

Everyone was waiting for this final mont to arrive, which, to so extent, would directly determine the fate of their planet.

However, the tense mood didn’t last long as the process was too boring. For several days, the images transmitted back to the screens showed no change; it was hard to even spot a stray cosmic teor in the field of view.

Lynn, however, did not let his guard down. On the third day of their surveillance, about a billion kiloters away from their location, several man-made objects distinct from teors and natural debris were detected.

Seconds later, these objects, which seed to be about ten ters in size and likely detectors, sped towards their spaceship.

“It looks like we’ve been discovered,” Vittorio’s expression imdiately grew serious, and they regretted not having equipped their spaceship with weapons, which could have destroyed these objects.

“No matter, the detectors are too slow!” Lynn said calmly; he had deliberately removed the weapon systems from the spacecraft for a reason.

One reason was that the weapons on the spaceship were not advanced enough. Antimatter technology was more comprehensively controlled by the opponents, and using scatter neutron cannons was even more out of the question, as that would have been considered plagiarism and could lower the enemy’s estimation of their strength, thereby arousing their suspicion.

The second reason was to remove the encumbrance, which maximized the speed and flexibility of the spaceship!

Lynn was acutely aware of their advantage: the control over high-dinsional space granted them super high speed!

Since the speed of light is the limit in low-dinsional space, either energy or physical weapons would find it difficult to match the spaceship’s speed level. If they could not concentrate their firepower, even the most powerful weapons would be aningless…

Lynn, a staunch advocate of the doctrine of speed advantage, undoubtedly took this strategy to its limits. Since they had already been discovered by their opponents, there was no need to conserve energy.

The Alchemy Array set up on the spaceship began frantically drawing Divine Power belonging to Aila. The speed further increased, reaching a frightening 1.7 tis the speed of light!

The detectors trying to approach and block them were instantly left behind in this high-speed chase.

Lynn’s goal was singular: to get the spaceship as close as possible to the alien fleet, then open the Space-Ti Gate between the two realms, ideally casting part of their warships through it.

If everything went as planned, Aila’s incarnation left in the main world should have ford an alliance with the gods there. Now that their disc-like spaceship had beco their symbol, if this fleet suddenly appeared in the main world, it would inevitably be attacked.

Moreover, the alien fleet under attack would be on high alert, and the likelihood of the two sides engaging in combat was extrely high!

“It’s about ti!” Lynn stood up and sent out an electromagnetic communication.

In the kingdom’s prisons, wizards who had been prepared for so ti executed all of the Moon God’s believers detained therein!

The entire execution process was quite simple: every prison had been equipped with fire magic, so the more than 300,000 believers of the Moon God died almost simultaneously. The imnse power of faith quickly transcended the barriers of ti and space, flowing into Aila’s divine essence.

One mont, Aila was struggling due to the continuous draining of her Divine Power, and the next, she felt her divine essence replenished for the first ti, recovering from her drained state.

With hardly any hesitation, Aila began to use this surging power to assault the shackles binding her, although she didn’t yet understand what had happened. However, the simultaneous death of so many followers hinted at a conspiracy to Aila…

A bright full moon rose in the power room, and the arcane chains binding her began to tremble violently. However, Aila, who was now fully leveraging her power, was horrified to find that she had lost control of her strength. A familiar yet distinctly foreign Divine Power burst out within her divine essence!

When the distance between the two was only a million kiloters and the fifteen Star Annihilation Cannons were prid to fire, the entire spaceship began to distort and disintegrate, and a rift in space-ti was torn open.

“So soon?” Harrov looked at Lynn, sowhat surprised; wasn’t it planned to engage once they approached the fleet?

“No, this isn’t my doing…” Lynn frowned slightly, he had just used a counterasure installed in the Moon God faith to halt Aila’s resistance, hoping to open the Space-Ti Gate between the two realms when needed.

There was only one possibility left: soone from the main world had used Aila’s incarnation to open the channel first.

They had indeed co to the sa conclusion!

Watching the space-ti rift rapidly expand, a terrifying silhouette of thunder appeared in the process, Lynn’s furrowed brow relaxed slightly.

Having the battlefield in this universe might not be such a bad thing after all.
