Chapter 672: Chapter 556 High-dinsional Space – Möbius Strip!

On the outer edges of the capital, a once flat expanse of land now lay pitted and marred from the aftermath of a clash between legendary figures, with the most noticeable feature being a long trench that plunged from shallow to deep, its length spanning over two kiloters!

This was the scar left by the “Doomsday – Atomic Breath.”

However, it was clear that the attack hadn’t achieved its intended effect. Having prepared for the strike, “Great Lich” Cecil had managed to deflect the blow with his control over space. Even amidst the onslaught by three opponents, he remained adept and untroubled.

A nine-ring legendary spellcaster was but a step away from becoming a True God, and although that step was vast as a chasm, barring countless legends from crossing, the power of a nine-ring legendary spellcaster was still undeniable!

Even with preparation, there was no certainty that the fusion bomb, symbolizing the power of a star, would be able to obliterate its target.

On the other hand, Harrov and his companions were tense. As they dealt with Cecil, they also remained cautious of the surrounding elental movents, guarding against the possibility of a “Shadow Assassin” suddenly appearing to chop off their heads.

Had it not been for Aurora’s tily use of Mirror Image Magic to evade disaster, they would have already lost a mber.

“Kekeke~” Cecil chuckled nacingly, repelling Harrov, who tried to sneak up on him with a sonic strike, with a “Higher Necromancy Impact.” He then mockingly said,

“Your resistance is futile. The other legions I sent are probably already slaughtering the beings of this plane. It won’t be long before the Lord of the Undead descends!”

“Embrace the end of the world, for all things shall pass away, only Death is eternal!”

Cecil’s hoarse and unpleasant voice echoed on the outskirts of the capital.

Although Harrov and the others knew he was trying to shake their resolve with this adverse news, they couldn’t help but grow anxious.

After all, to block the enemy’s invasion in the North, they had called upon too many forces, leaving only a few major cities like the capital with strict defenses. The rest of the cities and towns were too agerly defended to withstand the assault of the undead army.

It seed they had to resolve the battle as quickly as possible!

Harrov and the others exchanged glances, quickly making up their minds.

Owing to the unpredictable “Assassin,” none of them dared to recklessly cast “Doomsday – Atomic Breath” or any spell requiring buildup. Aurora took the lead with a fierce beam of laser light that shot straight into the sky, slicing “Great Lich” Cecil in half.

Imdiately after, several Rune Chains shot up from the ground, tightly binding the bisected skeleton.

However, what was trapped was rely a pile of bones. As a burst of Purgatory Fire ignited, dissolving the Rune Chains, “Great Lich” Cecil reappeared at another location.

The next mont, more Rune Chains flew out from the void, rolling towards Cecil.

Despite being fairly confident in his ability to respond, Cecil couldn’t afford the slightest complacency because just two minutes ago, these opponents had used the Rune Chains to restrict his movent, and then, combined with so extrely terrifying energy spell, had nearly sent him off for good!

“Summon Higher Death Spirit Guard”

Cecil’s rotten, pale mouth—which was now only bone and a few shreds of flesh—opened and uttered several strange syllables. Several Soul Fires flew out from the palm of his hand, and then, as magic power surged through the void, a number of robust figures made of magic power and elents, with Soul Fires burning in their eyes, appeared in front of the Great Lich, firmly grasping the Rune Chains flying towards them.

These resurrected undead had been the souls of so legendary warriors captured during campaigns in other worlds. With the manipulation of Necromancy, they could just about exhibit the strength of false legends!

The mont the four Death Spirit Guards appeared, they broke Vittorio’s Rune Chains, withstood Aurora’s electromagnetic cannon, and crowded around the group.

anwhile, Cecil himself once again raised his hand, and an imperceptible surge of magic power began to spread rapidly.

“Higher Curse Technique”

This was, undoubtedly, another legendary spell—this ti aid at Harrov!

He imdiately felt his Energy Body corroding, decaying and, in that mont, his expression dramatically changed as he found himself completely unable to cast spells.

Aurora and Vittorio also looked troubled and wanted to co to his aid, but they were firmly entangled by the Higher Death Spirit Guards.

Yet Harrov was not attacked, and the anticipated “Shadow Assassin” did not manifest.

This ca as a surprise to Cecil, but his actions did not cease as he lifted his withered finger.

“Destruction Finger”

A chilling flash of black light emanated from the tip of that shriveled digit, heading straight for the defenseless Harrov.

And then it struck an illusory figure…

The Shadow Assassin, Pelom, found himself in a strange place after his failed assassination attempt on Aurora. Endless intercrossing corridors stretched before him, and at their ends were identical rooms, one after another.

Was this an Illusion Technique or so kind of spell that could alter space?

Pelom didn’t know; he could only guess that he might have been hit by a counterattack spell while trying to take down that female spellcaster.

The Mirror Image Magic of the opponent was quite peculiar and left a deep impression on him, even capable of reflecting certain Necromancy spells of the Great Lich, Cecil, to so extent.

Given this, Pelom did not dare to linger in this place, but he also refused to follow the path set before him by the enemy. Instead, he blasted the floor of the corridor, only to quickly discover that below the corridor was another corridor, and on the other side of the room still lay more rooms.

Pelom soon realized that everything here seed to be infinitely repeating. Attempts to snap out of the illusion through physical torture, marking his path, or leaving magic power marks all ended in vain.

Everything as far as his eyes could see was gray and white. Every room and corridor was exactly the sa, indistinguishable even on an atomic level. After countless attempts and destroying innurable walls, even trying to obediently follow the directions the corridors stretched, he was always t with more identical corridors and rooms.

Pelom gradually lost track of how long he had been in this space—maybe a minute, an hour, a day, a month, a year…

In this place, ti seed aningless and space distorted and fragnted, making it impossible to discern up from down, left from right. Tens of thousands of attempts and efforts took him from calm analysis at first to frantic destruction, and finally to losing his sanity, becoming hysterical…

“Can’t you stand it anymore?” Lynn sighed helplessly, he hadn’t managed to test more techniques on the man before he broke.

The space he created was like a Möbius strip, completely closed off; no matter which direction Pelom took, he would end up back at the beginning.

The internal space was vast, and since everything inside was made of his magic power, it could quickly repair itself, creating this area of endlessly repeating ti and space.

Moreover, Lynn interfered with the man’s ti perception at a high-dinsional level.

This was like a form of torture. If it were possible to create an empty, utterly dark space and confine a person inside, even those with strong willpower couldn’t last long.

Pilots in the new century often had to face a similar fear of cosmic solitary confinent, which is why ultra-long-distance interstellar travel always requires cryogenic pods.

In testing the creation of the Möbius strip, Lynn did not make the space empty but instead an endlessly looping pure white corridor.

There was no sound inside and nothing besides the walls.

Lynn had thought that the man, being a legend, could last a bit longer, providing him with more data for his research. Yet, he didn’t expect him to completely collapse within just a few minutes in real ti!

Of course, for Pelom, whose perception was tampered with, it felt like months had passed.

Oh well, it’s ti to let him go!

Seeing that Harrov was in a life-or-death crisis, Lynn released the Möbius strip.

Pelom, frantically destroying the space, suddenly began to tremble with excitent after blasting through another wall, as for the first ti, he saw sothing that wasn’t pure white and he rushed out without delay!

Outside was a dim sky, a green lawn, and a dark beam of light coming straight at him.

It was Cecil’s Destruction Finger!

This powerful legendary spell could obliterate all visible matter, and Pelom, struck right by the spell, had half of his body wiped away, leaving only his head and a shoulder tumbling down from the air.

Everyone present was stunned, and Cecil was completely frozen, not understanding why Pelom, who had been invisible up until that mont, suddenly had an episode and ran straight into the Destruction Finger that was ant for Harrov.

Pelom, heavily wounded, didn’t die imdiately, and finally snapped back to reality from his madness.

“The Moon God, this must be the power of the Moon God?!” Pelom cried out in panic, the Soul Fire in his eyes trembling continuously, as only a deity in his mind could achieve such bizarre deeds.

Cecil also quickly ca to a realization, thinking of the scene where his Necromancy mist was suddenly blown away by a mysterious gust of wind.

“You’re looking for the Moon God? I’m sorry to say she’s been dead for a long ti, but if you really want to et her, I can send you to her!” A voice echoed in everyone’s ears from the void, not spoken by anyone, but ford by the vibrating air elents at a specific frequency.

The next mont, an incomprehensibly profound existence descended upon them…
