Gray Wolf stepped out of the hovercar, a laser rifle in his hand.
Two guards, also ard with laser rifles, got out with him and flanked him on his left and right.
He had co by these three laser rifles by chance when he acquired the munitions production line. He brought them on every operation and couldn’t bear to part with them.
As Gray Wolf disembarked, nearly 200 mbers of the rcenary Corps also got out of their vehicles in unison, excluding those left to guard them. Each man gripped a rifle, looking nacing.
"Let’s go. We’ll sneak over under the cover of darkness." Gray Wolf was very pleased with his subordinates.
As long as they didn’t provoke the City East Alliance or any of the major Survivor Bases, the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps’ strength, bolstered by the guns from their production line, was enough to sweep through any other survivor settlent.
But Gray Wolf had no idea that Lu Feng was monitoring their every move through the ga’s mobile cara view.
At that mont, Lu Feng entered the ga with a single thought, appearing inside the bank.
He walked right outside the bank and raised a hand to signal Lin Jiao and the others.
Lin Jiao, Chen Tao, and Chen Hao had been taking turns secretly monitoring the bank’s periter.
When Lin Jiao saw Lu Feng’s signal, she imdiately knew the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps had arrived. She quickly woke up the two brothers, Chen Tao and Chen Hao.
Soon, Gray Wolf and his n reached the building across from the bank.
The n from the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps were indeed well-trained; they made no sound as they advanced.
Lin Jiao, Chen Hao, and Chen Tao now saw the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps’s forces. Seeing so many fully ard n, the three of them couldn’t help but tighten their grips on their laser rifles.
If it weren’t for their boss, they would never have had the courage to confront the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps.
They wouldn’t stand a chance.
The enemy had weapons for every man; they could simply overwhelm you with sheer numbers.
This was why the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps struck such fear into the hearts of other survivors.
But on second thought, if they followed their boss and wiped out the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps, they themselves would probably take over the corps’ reputation and beco famous among the survivors.
At this point, Gray Wolf and his n also saw the fortifications outside the bank.
"Commander, fortifications this extensive couldn’t have been built by just a few people. There must be a lot of survivors here," one of his n said imdiately. "But it looks like there are no guards outside now. Your plan to wear them down must have worked, Commander. They’ve probably let their guard down to rest."
"Go in and take care of them." Hearing this, Gray Wolf gave a cold wave of his hand and led his n straight for the bank.
Soon, his n were climbing over the fortifications outside the bank one after another.
Under the dim lights of the night, Gray Wolf and his n didn’t notice the gas canisters at all.
However, after crossing the fortifications, Gray Wolf felt a flicker of doubt.
Sothing felt wrong.
’There isn’t a single person inside the fortifications. That’s not normal. No matter how much they’ve let their guard down, a group capable of building these defenses wouldn’t leave them without a single night watchman.’
But having co this far, Gray Wolf couldn’t possibly turn back. Besides, the word "retreat" wasn’t in his vocabulary.
Just then, the sound of sothing shattering ca from inside the bank.
This dispelled Gray Wolf’s remaining doubts. He waved his hand, and his n sward into the bank.
Inside the bank.
Lu Feng, who had been watching Gray Wolf and his n, deliberately smashed a stack of ceramic bowls, scattering shards all over the floor.
This was, of course, intentional—a trick he’d learned from the movies. It could distract the enemy and interrupt their suspicions and train of thought.
’If the director dared to film it, he dared to learn it.’
A mont later, Gray Wolf led his n into the bank lobby. It was completely empty. There was no one there, and a strange sll hung in the air.
The atmosphere suddenly felt off.
Gray Wolf imdiately realized sothing was wrong and ordered, "Did they actually run? They didn’t even want their hovertruck? Search the place! Look for clues."
The mbers of the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps were about to spread out and search, but in that instant, a flicker of fire suddenly appeared, drifting out from around a corner.
After the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps had sward into the lobby, Lu Feng, naturally, played the sa old trick again and lit a lighter.
As the lighter flew through the air, he—cherishing his own life—instantly logged out of the ga.
After all, more than 50 gas canisters had been placed around the bank. Once they exploded, even if they were scattered, the force would be terrifying.
Gray Wolf saw the lighter imdiately, but in the next second, his eyes widened in horror.
In the lighter’s fla, a terrifying blaze instantly spread, engulfing the entire lobby. It was imdiately followed by a deafening explosion.
Gray Wolf saw a blast erupt from a corner, the imnse shockwave sending a group of his n flying as blood spattered everywhere.
Gray Wolf instantly understood that he had walked into an ambush.
But he had no idea what was exploding. The next mont, another terrifying explosion rang out, and a horrific shockwave slamd into him.
BOOM!~
BOOM!~
...
A series of horrific explosions went off one after another, like a continuous string of firecrackers.
From a distance, the entire bank was consud by flashing, scorching flas. Even the walls couldn’t withstand the impact, shattering and collapsing one by one.
Not far away, the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps mbers left to guard the hovertrucks also saw what was happening at the bank.
They were all stunned. They hurriedly got into the hovertrucks, started them up, and sped toward the bank.
The hovertrucks soon stopped a short distance from the bank, their occupants staring in shock at the building, now engulfed in thick smoke and flas.
The next mont, a laser beam shot out, hitting a mber of the rcenary Corps and dropping him to the ground.
Imdiately after, two more laser beams lanced out, striking two more mbers of the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps.
Under attack, the remaining mbers of the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps were shocked, scrambling out of their vehicles to find cover.
This was, of course, the work of Lin Jiao, Chen Tao, and Chen Hao.
Most of the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps had entered the bank. After an explosion like that, those n were surely all dead. With laser rifles in hand, the three of them weren’t worried about dealing with the ones who remained.
The instant he threw the lighter, Lu Feng had also logged out of the ga, reappearing in reality.
At the sa ti, a dense stream of notifications flooded his mind:
[Congratulations! You have killed a Fallen Murderer and gained 20 EXP!]
...
[Congratulations! You have killed a Fallen Murderer and gained 15 EXP.]
...
[Congratulations! You have killed a Fallen Murderer and gained 20 EXP!]
The flood of experience notifications made it clear that these mbers of the Gray Wolf rcenary Corps deserved to die.
Lu Feng imdiately looked back at the ga screen, which had already refocused on the bank where he had logged out.
Inside, residual flas still licked at the wreckage, and plus of black smoke billowed out.
The triggered fire-suppression sprinkler system couldn’t extinguish the flas all at once. For the sprinkler system to still be functional after the ga world had been abandoned for so long was truly impressive.
The walls of the entire bank lobby were shattered, and corpses lay strewn about amidst pools of blood.
But suddenly, as Lu Feng watched the scene on the ga screen, his eyes widened in horror. "How is this possible?"
