Chu Xian laughed: “Let’s go, let’s go. We can rest well for the rest of the day, and tomorrow you bring around to show off!”

The next day, a spick and span Rolls-Royce Cabriolet drove down the road.
“it’s going to take five hours by car, why did you want to drive? We could have just taken the high speed rail and gotten a taxi. Why do you want to spend two extra hours?”
Inside the Rolls-Royce, Xiao Ying was a little irritated as she complained to Chu Xian.

On the car, the two laughed and talked as they drove, stopping for a bit at noon to eat at a rest station. A little after two, they arrived at Jiu Yun City.

Xiao Ying’s hotown was a village in a town part of the Jiu Yun City area. Feng Li Village sat in the town of Li Shan and was in most regards a classical old village, with green roofed tiles and a large river running by the front of the village.
Just as Chu Xian expected, the shiny Rolls-Royce Cabriolet attracted a lot of attention as it drove its wave into the village, and the vacationing school kids all peered with unabashed curiosity. The car was imdiately the subject of gossip for the groups of villagers chatting and playing cards under the shade of trees.
“Isn’t that Er Dong family’s Xiao Ying?”
Under the roadside trees, a woman sitting with a group of other won was darting glances at the car when to her great surprise she suddenly recognized Xiao Ying.

“I heard from Er Dong that Xiao Ying is a teacher at a university. Is that man with her her boyfriend? Isn’t this car a little too luxurious?”
As the car andered its way through the village, everyone chatted and pointed. Xiao Ying saw them looking over and she could not stop a light blush from covering her face. She was not used to this attention.
Especially with the clear and see through windows of the Cabriolet, the gossip that Xiao Ying overheard from these aunts and uncles was all the more direct, and all the more embarrassing to listen to.
“Aunt Er, Uncle Jing, Grandma Lian, Grandpa Shan!” As they passed by people she was more familiar with, even though Xiao Ying was embarrassed she still pushed herself to call out greetings, turning her head as they passed to wave at them.
“I was just saying that it was you, Xiao Ying. Look at her, after this half year she’s gotten even prettier, and who is this young man? Your boyfriend?” A woman called out loudly.
Chu Xian saw the group of people Xiao Ying had greeted and slowed the car; these were all relatives of an elder generation, and Xiao Ying was not comfortable sitting inside the car, so Chu Xian parked and followed Xiao Ying over.
Xiao Ying wore a red dress with white heels and a silver necklace that matched her white watch and bracelet. The light dusting of makeup on her gorgeous face completed the graceful picture, and she appeared to those staring as if a Jiangnan beauty who’d just walked off a masterpiece watercolor.
Chu Xian followed in her wake as Xiao Ying walked up to her relatives. “Aunt Er, this is my boyfriend Chu Xian. How are you Uncle Er, are you feeling better?”
“Good, good. Child, your boyfriend is very handso, he really fits well with our beautiful Xiao Ying. Okay, you don’t have to stop here for us, go on ho first. I heard that your mother was very excited that you were bringing your boyfriend ho, and your dad even took a few days off. Very quickly, Chu Xian discovered the price of showing off; the village was not large, and they encountered acquaintances on every street. Any car would stand out on these streets so there was no need of ntioning the effect of a car like the Cabriolet, and every curious passerby imdiately recognized Xiao Ying and called out. To be polite, they had to get out of the car and greet these people, and they must have already climbed in out and out of the car five or six tis after driving a re couple hundred ters.
But Xiao Ying’s face carried a permanent grin, and it was clear that she was very happy.
“Showing off feels pretty good, doesn’t it!” Chu Xian leaned over and smiled.

Chu Xian chuckled and parked his car by the house with a red door.
“Mom! I’m ho!” Xiao Ying walked through the open door and called out.
Chu Xian quickly followed her in and entered the yard. His heart beat nervously, after all, this was his first ti eting his future parents and there was no way he would not be worried.
“They’re here! They’re here!” Xiao Ying’s parents imdiately called out and response, and the silhouette of a farr and his voice quickly followed.
“Daughter, this must be Xiao Xian. Co, co, co. Sit, sit!” Xiao Ying’s mother looked Chu Xian over and called out with obvious satisfaction.
