Hegu and Yingxiang.

These two acupoints can be combined to treat nasal inflammation.

Even if you don't know acupuncture, massage can also work, just that the effect is not as strong as acupuncture.

However, the nasal exercise that Lu Jiu taught Huang Qi already includes the Yingxiang point, so massaging these two points is optional.

Of course, if you do the nasal exercise and also use ginger moxibustion on the Hegu acupoint, the effect will be quite noticeable.

"Dr. Lu, how many tis a day should I do this nasal exercise?" Huang Qi asked.

Lu Jiu smiled, "You can do it as many tis as you like, there's no limit. Just do it whenever you feel uncomfortable."

"However, this exercise is only for clearing the orifices. It will help in the short term, but it won't solve the root of the problem, aning the effect is there but limited. Of course, after today's acupuncture session, you should be able to get a good night's sleep."

Huang Qi was overjoyed, "My nose will be clear when I sleep tonight?"

Lu Jiu replied, "Definitely."

Huang Qi grinned and was about to speak, but suddenly thought of sothing, "Um, Dr. Lu, I have a few friends who also have nasal inflammation, but they can't co over to Jianghan. Besides acupuncture, can herbal dicine help?"

Lu Jiu nodded, "Yes, how many of them?"

Huang Qi said, "Three."

Lu Jiu said, "Wait a mont."

As he spoke, Lu Jiu finished removing the needles from Huang Qi and then went to the dicine cabinet.

Then he grabbed three types of herbs.

Magnolia flower, Acorus, Atractylodes.

These three herbs are specifically for expelling dampness and clearing the orifices.

They can be considered a general formula for treating nasal inflammation.

They can treat things like sinusitis, nasal polyp, and so on.

In Chinese dicine, there's a saying: "One recipe for a thousand people, a thousand people, a thousand recipes."

If the pathogenesis of many diseases is similar, then no matter what they are called, one formula can solve them.

Of course, if the patient has other problems besides this disease, it will definitely affect the effectiveness of this formula.

But it will only affect the effectiveness, not negate the effect of the formula entirely.

So, even if Lu Jiu doesn't know the situation of Huang Qi's three friends, whether they are male or female, fat or thin, or what age, it doesn't matter.

The pathogenesis of nasal inflammation is Spleen deficiency and heavy dampness. As long as the treatnt direction of the formula is correct, it will definitely be effective.

Moreover, Lu Jiu is not worried at all that Huang Qi's friends will have any problems from taking this dicine, partly because this dicine itself is harmless, and also because it is quite difficult to find soone without Spleen deficiency nowadays.

In tis of peace, with abundant supplies, most people no longer worry about food and clothing, they can eat whatever they want. Vegetables and fruits that were once only available in winter can now be eaten all year round. Big fish and at that were only available during the New Year and festivals can now be eaten every day.

Many people lant that the New Year is losing its festive atmosphere, but purely in terms of living standards, it isn't that the New Year has lost its flavor, but rather that many people feel like it's New Year every day.

In today's life, cars are available whenever you step out, air conditioning is everywhere, and the comfortable environnt makes people lazier.

Just like many of the older generation not understanding why today's young people spend money to go to the gym to exercise.

Doing hard labor for others and still having to pay them, how strange!

So, it's because people eat a lot and don't love exercise, air conditioning in sumr to avoid sweating, central heating in winter preventing the body from storing energy, that many have developed Spleen deficiency issues.

The Spleen and Stomach can't be left hungry for too long, nor can they be kept full for too long. They need to be cold when it's the ti to be cold, hot when it's the ti to be hot, and they also need an appropriate amount of exercise to help them transform, ensuring that both Spleen Qi and Gastric Qi are abundant.

Otherwise, if the energy of the Spleen and Stomach becos deficient, a myriad of diseases will follow.

The mildest being colds, and in severe cases, stubborn recurrent diseases like nasal inflammation.

Of course, it doesn't an that following seasonal health care ans returning to the society of ancient people and abandoning all technology products.

It's just important to understand, while enjoying the convenience technology brings, its shortcomings should also be acknowledged. For example, cold drinks; eating so cold drinks in sumr indeed brings joy, but if consud constantly, the Spleen and Stomach won't withstand it. So, if you know how to maintain the Spleen and Stomach in sumr, you can appropriately enjoy cold drinks and then nurture the Spleen and Stomach. This way, consuming cold drinks brings happiness without burdening the body.

This is the purpose of understanding health maintenance.

The premise of indulgence is enough self-discipline!

Otherwise, it will only turn into indulgence, leading to a body full of problems.

So discuss online that life expectancy is increasing, but everyone seems to agree that regardless of age, everybody spends their old age in hospitals.

Passing away at peace has now beco a luxury.

"Here, there are 21 doses of dicine in total, seven doses for each person, you can send them over today. After finishing these seven doses, they should be much better. Then do the nasal exercise I taught you, let them do it whenever they're free, and follow the habits I ntioned, including diet and sleep, otherwise, the disease won't cure. Rember that." Lu Jiu said.

After that, Lu Jiu handed the packaged herbal dicine to Huang Qi.

"Mm-hmm, rest assured Dr. Lu, I will definitely remind them." Huang Qi said, then looked at the dicine in his hand, "Dr. Lu, can I take this too? Will acupuncture combined with herbal dicine heal quicker?"

Lu Jiu laughed, "If it were possible, I'd surely prescribe it to you. But removing dampness is a process, having many thods won't speed it up. If you think this way, if I give you a day of acupuncture and then let you take three or four doses of dicine, will you be imdiately cured?"

"Whether it's acupuncture or herbal dicine, they consu your body's energy. Ultimately completing the process of dispelling dampness is led by your Five Viscera and internal organs. With the right dosage, the body can leverage the dicinal properties to expel internal dampness, but if the dosage is excessive, not only will it fail to dispel dampness, but it will also burden the body, producing the opposite effect."

"I hope this makes sense. Too much of anything is not good."

Huang Qi awkwardly scratched the back of his head, "That was stupid."

Lu Jiu smiled, "It's fine, it's normal not to know. After you get better, you must continue maintaining healthy habits, especially with diet, be sure not to overeat."

Seeing Lu Jiu's earnest expression, Huang Qi felt warmth in his heart.

"I got it."

Then, Huang Qi took out his phone to scan and pay, "Dr. Lu, how much is all this?"

Lu Jiu said, "The dicine is 197.4 yuan, the consultation fee is 50 yuan, acupuncture is 30 yuan, totaling 277.4 yuan."

Huang Qi was taken aback.

Twenty-one doses of dicine, not even 200?

In their Traditional Chinese dicine Hospital, dicines are prescribed for a whole course, calculated on a monthly basis, and the dical fees never dropped below six or seven hundred.

Here, it's under 200.

Truly reasonable!

"Dr. Lu, will you be moving to a new place in the future?" Huang Qi asked after scanning the code.

"Why do you ask?" Lu Jiu said.

"Just afraid that when I co back for treatnt, I might not find you." Huang Qi said.

"Can't you wish yourself well? Besides, I can't treat every illness. Your priority should be to avoid getting sick, not searching the world for a doctor once you're ill." Lu Jiu looked helpless. In this day and age, he feared patients treating him like a miracle worker.

Huang Qi smiled wryly, "So diseases are peculiar, how can I guarantee not to get sick? For many genetic diseases, like my cousin, his dad has diabetes, and he inherited his dad's diabetes. At thirty-sothing, he started on diabetes dication, so for so diseases, you really don't know when they might surface."

Lu Jiu shook his head, "Diabetes isn't a genetic disease, you misunderstood. Many genetic diseases aren't gene-inherited, but behavior-inherited. A family living under one roof, with similar dietary habits, may develop the sa diseases, and unless it's a viral infection, most diseases don't suddenly appear. Instead, the process of disease accumulation is unknown to you. For instance, you feel weak all the ti and lack energy; do you think it's because of the dampness in your body? No, you don't."

"But if your nose is uncomfortable, constantly running, and blocked at night, you realize imdiately it's nasal inflammation. By that point, the disease has accumulated to a point of worsening. From when you felt lethargic, the pathogen was already lurking, waiting for an opportunity, and that opportunity is when your righteous qi is insufficient, and your immunity is weak."

"Maintain normal dietary habits, proper sleep patterns, moderate exercise, to keep the righteous qi full and your immunity intact. This way, falling ill suddenly isn't possible, especially for chronic diseases like diabetes. So, don't constantly burden yourself, thinking that a slight mistake will lead to a grave condition; that's nonsense."

Is that so?

Huang Qi muttered, "Dr. Lu, what about AIDS..."

Lu Jiu's pupils shrank suddenly...

Oh my!

"I was discussing genetics, and you switch to infection, huh? Anyway, even if soone gets AIDS, they won't die from it, no need to be tense."

Huh?

You won't die from AIDS!?

Isn't it a terminal illness?
