Four-Ingredient Decoction with Roasted Barley.

This is the most typical prescription for treating excessive milk supply that cannot descend and transform into nstruation.

In fact, many places have customs where won drink barley tea when weaning after childbirth, but many don’t know why they have to drink it.

Basically, those who drink it won’t have lumps in their breasts.

Especially after weaning, you don’t even need the Four-Ingredient Decoction; roasted barley is enough to solve it directly.

Chen Muyao had been weaning for quite a while, so clearly roasted barley was not enough, and that’s why Lu Jiu used the Four-Ingredient Decoction.

"Here, drink this after als like tea, twice a day should be enough. In about a week, the lumps in your breasts should reduce. Observe during your next nstruation; the flow should be heavier than usual," Lu Jiu said.

"Thank you, Dr. Lu," Chen Muyao said, taking the dicine.

"You’re welco, that’ll be fifty-four yuan and three cents," Lu Jiu replied.

Uh...

He was quite straightforward about asking for money.

But Chen Muyao also paid willingly!

Although from diagnosis to receiving the dicine, it took less than five minutes in total, and she still had to pay more than fifty yuan, Chen Muyao felt it was worth it!

Just by checking her pulse without even asking, he knew she had lumps in her breasts—whether his skill is high or not, she wasn’t sure, but it would definitely be hard to find soone like Lu Jiu in Jianghan City.

However, amid her happiness, Chen Muyao also felt a bit dejected.

If she had found such a physician earlier, would the hope have been greater?

Unfortunately, there are no "ifs" in this world.

Supporting Sun Dan, Chen Muyao slowly left the clinic.

As they left, many patients began to chatter.

"Did you see that? He knew just by checking her pulse that the woman had lumps in her breasts—how does he do that?"

"Who knows? If I understood, would I be standing here in line?"

"I really can’t figure it out. If you used scientific instrunts to scan it, I think it’s reasonable, but just taking a pulse, listening to heartbeats, and you can know what the problem is—that’s kind of surreal."

"I also find it unbelievable. I’ve seen traditional Chinese dicine before, but there was no one like Dr. Lu."

"Do you think it’s that amazing because traditional Chinese dicine is inherently powerful, or is it just Dr. Lu?"

"It must be traditional Chinese dicine that is powerful. Even if Dr. Lu studied it from elentary school, he’s only been learning for about twenty years. There must be people who have studied longer in Huaxia, and they would be even better."

"Not necessarily. Talent in learning traditional Chinese dicine matters a lot. It’s not guaranteed that studying longer ans better—it’s two different things."

"Man, I’m just here for treatnt. Who cares who learned better? As long as you cure my illness, I don’t care what you studied."

"No problem..."

"..."

After that, Lu Jiu didn’t run into any more tricky patients like Sun Dan.

But of course, even though he has gained so popularity now, it’s certainly impossible to attract more critical illness patients.

Unless they received a death notice from the hospital and want to try traditional Chinese dicine.

Unfortunately, with these types of patients, Lu Jiu has to be very cautious.

He definitely should see them, but he must declare upfront if he cannot cure them.

Not long after, it was already noon, and Lu Jiu knew he had no ti for lunch, so he asked Lu Mountain to take a break, eat at ho, and bring him sothing afterward.

He persisted the whole afternoon like this and, approaching six o’clock, inford the patients in line after three more that they should return tomorrow, as finishing with those three would likely take until around six-thirty.

Giving advance notice was ant to prevent patients from waiting for no reason.

Sure enough, after seeing the last three patients, it was precisely six-thirty.

Lu Jiu exhaled deeply and stretched his back.

Today was really exhausting; Lu Jiu felt completely numb.

Undoubtedly, it was because he exerted his ntal energy too much.

However, being young and consistently practicing self-care, this level of intensity is just a bit tiring for him, not strenuous.

Moreover, sitting in the clinic like this makes the day feel fulfilling, sowhat reminiscent of my ti at Jinling Hospital of Traditional Chinese dicine.

It was the sa there, with a constant stream of patients, and you never get to see a mont of rest.

Lu Jiu actually quite enjoys this feeling; every ti he cures a patient, he feels a great sense of accomplishnt.

That kind of joy is sothing money can’t buy.

"Brother, don’t close the door~~~~"

After finishing up, Lu Jiu tidied up so clutter and leftover herbs in the clinic. Just as he was about to lock the door, a shout ca from afar.

Without even turning his head, just from the voice, he knew it was Lu Shuang.

Lu Jiu stopped what he was doing and turned to look at Lu Shuang, who was running over.

"What’s up with you? Aren’t you supposed to be at evening classes?" Lu Jiu questioned.

Holding a bag almost half her size, Lu Shuang jogged over, "I took ti off, brother. Look, here’s the outfit I made for you, try it on."

"Now?" Lu Jiu asked.

Lu Shuang nodded, "Yeah, I need to see if it fits. If there are any issues with the details, I can fix them. The Flower Festival is in four days."

Oh?

In four days?

Lu Jiu didn’t realize ti had flown by so quickly, almost December already.

"Alright, wait a bit." After saying that, Lu Jiu took the bag from Lu Shuang and went into the clinic’s restroom to change into the clothes.

Wearing traditional clothing is a lot more complicated than modern outfits, with just the top having two or three layers, and then there are the leggings, belts, skirts—complicated, to say the least.

However, these kinds of traditional clothes have been modernized and don’t closely resemble any specific dynasty, more like an amalgamation of various elents.

Seven minutes later, after changing, Lu Jiu erged from the restroom.

Lu Jiu’s traditional outfit fits very well, especially with the upper and lower parts nearly covered in bamboo and bamboo leaves, and a small brown gourd hanging at the waist, giving off an aura of a healer dispensing his redies.

Bamboo symbolizes purity, and green represents wood, signifying vitality. Combined with the faint herbal scent from spending every day in the clinic, his aura felt just right.

Lu Jiu, already nearly 1.8 ters tall, looked even taller in this traditional outfit.

"Wow, not bad, ha-ha. Let see if there are any areas that need adjustnts." Seeing the outfit in action, Lu Shuang was very pleased. She circled around Lu Jiu, her eyes scanning the outfit from top to bottom. Once she was certain there were no improvents needed, she nodded in satisfaction, "Tsk tsk, brother, I feel like if you wore a wig with this outfit, you’d definitely charm a princess in ancient tis, maybe even beco a consort, ha-ha-ha."

Lu Jiu was speechless, "Been reading too many novels?"

Lu Shuang laughed, "Why, are you looking down on novels? Tis have changed, you know. Nowadays, authors are embarrassed to write if they haven’t done their research. The novels I read—those authors write about ancient imperial examinations in such detail, almost all historical facts. That’s not sothing I learn from textbooks."

Lu Jiu chuckled, "As long as you don’t get too obsessed, it’s fine. For now, focus on your studies. You can learn other things in college."

Lu Shuang scoffed, "That’s too late. My grades are basically set, at best I’ll get into a regular college. It’s better to learn a skill than to struggle into a diocre university."

Lu Jiu said, "Good schools do have their value."

Lu Shuang rolled her eyes, "Co on, the current education model can’t keep up with society’s developnt. What we learn in college is hardly relevant in the real world. Four years of college just gets you a foot in the door, but opportunities are limited. What’s the point of just having a foot in the door? Might as well beco an influencer."

Lu Jiu laughed, "You’re really thinking far ahead."

Lu Shuang said proudly, "Of course, I’ve studied modern history. Several decades ago, during the global financial crisis, there was overproduction in the country, many workers were laid off, and college graduates struggled to find jobs. To ease employnt pressure, they started promoting higher education and they paid for education just to find jobs."

"Many universities were established during that ti, but they just copied the Western education system. That model is outdated. Look, now there are ten million college students, so they’re encouraging students to pursue graduate studies. So, in today’s society, having just a foot in the door isn’t enough; you need a marketable skill. With the rapid growth of social dia, hitching a ride is better than burying one’s head in useless knowledge."

"I don’t want to end up like them, holding a shiny foot in the door but ending up like Kong Yiji, unwilling to shed long robes."

Lu Jiu said, "You really shouldn’t be underestimated; that’s quite a level of thinking for a high school student."

Lu Shuang’s eyes crinkled with pride, "That’s the power of knowledge. While I’m not interested in textbooks, I haven’t completely given up on learning. I’m just learning different things. In my view, the trend will surely be the promotion of traditional culture, and national style will rise. Brother, what do you think about making the promotion of Huaxia culture my career?"

Lu Jiu laughed, "Of course, I also think Huaxia culture will flourish."

Lu Shuang was thrilled and snuggled up to Lu Jiu’s arm, "I knew we thought alike, you really get the best."

Lu Jiu pushed her away with disdain, "We’re just talking; no need to get so close. It’s late, hurry back to school. I need to head ho for dinner too."

Lu Shuang pursed her lips, "Fine, don’t forget the Flower Festival four days from now. We’ll et at South Gate River Park Square."

"Got it~~" Lu Jiu headed to the restroom intending to change back into his clothes.
