"But with just a few of us, how can we deal with it? If not, can a few fellow Daoists seek help from the sect?"

The Corpse Leader spoke bluntly:

"With the little business your family has, I'm afraid it's not enough to invite the elders of our sect. Even a Golden Core Realm cultivator like Hua Hualang wouldn't be interested in the few Spirit Stones your clan has."

Tian Lin and Ju Yunhai also shook their heads, listening to Ju Yunhai:

"Unless the Clan Leader is willing, after subduing your ancestor, to offer your ancestor to the Golden Core cultivators as a corpse slave, otherwise I'm afraid no Golden Core cultivator would be willing to help for nothing."

"Because of my negligence, the rchant family's population has perished. If I were to sell our ancestor as a corpse slave, how could I live with myself?"

The Clan Leader firmly rejected Ju Yunhai's suggestion; he was willing to sell all the current clan assets to seek help, simply because the existing assets were originally insufficient.

But his ancestor's corpse had a high chance of becoming a Walking Corpse.

And the value of a Walking Corpse was enough to outweigh the clan's assets. Whether to sell it or keep it for personal use could greatly enhance his strength—how could the Clan Leader be willing to part with it?

"We can't invite a Golden Core cultivator, but if I give all my clan's assets to you, can you stay and help deal with my family ancestor?"

The Clan Leader looked hopefully at the Corpse Leader and others, knowing that the Corpse Leader and his brothers were always short of money, otherwise, they wouldn't have sold their own corpse slaves.

"Fellow Daoist Ju, Fellow Daoist Tian, what do you think?"

The Corpse Leader did not rush to agree but instead asked Tian Lin and Ju Yunhai.

They knew that i Xiangu had considerable strength; as long as Tian Lin and Ju Yunhai agreed to stay, then they would have an Inner Sect Disciple to help, greatly increasing the success rate against the family's ancestor.

Similarly, Ju Yunhai understood this principle too, so he looked at Tian Lin and i Xiangu.

i Xiangu straightforwardly said: "Since the mission is halfway, wouldn't giving up now be a waste? We might as well try first, if it doesn't work, then we'll leave."

After hearing i Xiangu's words, Tian Lin had to nod.

Seeing both agree, Ju Yunhai then asked the Corpse Leader: "Now that this family ancestor's Evil Spirit keeps hiding, how can we lure him out? And how can we deal with it?"

The Corpse Leader said: "This matter is easier now, after all, part of the Evil Spirit's body and residual soul are in our hands. Now what needs to be done is not much different from the previous plan, which is to continue burying it."

"Burying?"

The Corpse Leader said: "You must have heard about Funeral Science; although my brothers and I are not proficient in corpse chasing, we have so experience in funeral rites. And the so-called Funeral Science, is originally about summoning evil spirits for peaceful burial. Now that the family's ancestor is causing trouble with an Evil Spirit, this thod can be used against him."

The Corpse Second also said: "We've already selected a mourning hall and burial site. As long as the funeral process goes smoothly, even if it's a Walking Corpse, it will have to obediently enter the grave."

Seeing Corpse Second so confident, Ju Yunhai said: "Okay, I would love to see how a real funeral is conducted."

Seeing this, the Corpse Leader said to the Clan Leader: "Since the family is also in the business of selling corpses, I suppose you have corpse rice and incense candles prepared?"

The Clan Leader nodded and said to the rchant elder: "Go to the shop, summon back all the shop staff, and prepare corpse rice, incense candles, and mourning clothes."

"Funerals require guests, but since your ancestor's corpse has already risen, this ti, you might as well invite so mummies to the funeral."

"There are still so mummies in my clan. I wonder how many this funeral needs? If not enough, we can buy or borrow so."

"Not too many, just over a hundred will suffice."

After discussing with everyone, the Corpse Leader went to the coffin.

He looked at the sky and said to Tian Lin and others: "While it's not dark yet, let's first seal the body properly. Fellow Daoists, lend a hand, after I open the coffin, make sure to keep an eye on the body."

Tian Lin and others nodded, and the Corpse Leader took out a Magic Altar from his Storage Bag.

He placed the Magic Altar in front of the coffin, and then took out bowls, bottles, incense candles, and other items from the Storage Bag.

He placed an empty bowl on the table, poured a liquid with a wine aroma from a bottle.

He then took out a small paper package from which he poured powder that was black tinged with red.

He slightly tilted the powder into the bowl, and in an instant, the originally clear liquid was dyed crimson, emitting a strong bloody odor.

Corpse Second said to the Clan Leader: "This is the blood left by a Nascent Soul elder from my sect, capable of suppressing all evil spirits, far superior to the talismanic ink sold in the market."

The Clan Leader imdiately flattered: "I am grateful to all of you, and there will be a generous reward after this matter is over."

Corpse Second, having received the promise, said no more, and continued to watch his brother perform the ritual.

The Corpse Leader, having dipped the talisman pen in the red liquid, didn't imdiately start writing, but looked at Corpse Fifth said:

"The guest list for those mummies needs to be submitted, and their birth dates need to be clarified for you to personally write the invitations."

The Corpse Leader walked to the red coffin and lightly knocked on the lid.

The lid vibrated, and a response quickly ca from within. The continuous thumping noises seed as if soone inside was trying to push open the lid.

The Corpse Leader sneered: "Quite lively, aren't you? Old Fourth, ring the death knell for it!"

Corpse Fourth pulled out a copper bell and shook it, chanting the na of the family ancestor, calming the body inside.

At the sa ti, the Corpse Leader lit the Peace Incense, took a deep breath, and slid the coffin lid aside with his left hand, revealing the upper half of the family's ancestor inside.

A gray mist gushed out of the coffin, just as the rchant elder returned to the clan's mourning hall with dozens of shop employees.

The mist hit one of the shop employees, whose complexion turned blue, showing signs of corpse transformation.

Fortunately, Tian Lin and Ju Yunhai reacted quickly; Ju Yunhai waved his sleeve, blowing all the people entering the mourning hall back out.

Tian Lin, in turn, swept his sleeve, absorbing much of the mist into his own sleeve.

In an instant, Tian Lin's clothes were covered in mold, yet surprisingly, Tian Lin seed unaffected by the Corpse Qi, his expression still calm.

The Corpse Leader asked Tian Lin with so surprise: "Brother Tian, have you also cultivated our Xiangxi Sect's Divine Skills?"

In this world, only corpse chasers used Corpse Qi for cultivation.

Ordinary cultivators were very averse to Corpse Qi.

"I'm not talented, but I have practiced the Sealing Earth Skill."

The Corpse Leader was even more surprised: "That is a top-grade Divine Skill in our sect; many dare not cultivate it for fear of delaying their progress if it doesn't beco perfect. Brother Tian, a disciple of the Inquiry Sect, is bold indeed."

As he spoke, the originally closed eyes of the old man in the coffin suddenly opened.
