Leon failed to notice the change in the demon’s expression and shot forward.

"Sword Dance." As he whispered, a stream of condensed air escaped his lips and brushed against his skin. His left arm had yet to fully recover, but he showed no intention of backing down. It was as if an invisible urgency was driving him forward.

anwhile, the demon spun on its heel and bolted.

"Noooo! Stay away! Soone save !"

Its terrified scream echoed throughout the cavern.

Leon was taken aback mid-charge. ’What the...? Is this so sort of trick?’

The demon’s reaction made no sense, but Leon didn’t slow down. Despite its enormous size, the demon was unbelievably fast. The distance between them continued to widen with every passing second.

Leon’s brows furrowed. Then an idea suddenly flashed through his mind.

"Ice Domain."

The mont the words left his mouth, thick shackles of ice erupted from the ground and wrapped around the demon’s legs.

Crack!

Due to the sudden pull caused by the shackles, the demon lost its balance and crashed heavily onto the ground. Its expression twisted in panic. With a violent pull, it shattered the ice restraints and scrambled back to its feet, preparing to flee once more.

But that brief delay was all Leon needed.

Whoosh! A powerful gust of wind, along with a white streak of light, swept past the demon.

Schlk!

A sharp slicing sound echoed through the air.

The demon froze. Leon stood several ters ahead, his back facing the creature. The Frost Monarch’s Blade rested quietly in his hand.

For a mont, nothing happened.

Then...

The demon’s upper body slowly slid away from its lower half.

Thud!

The severed torso crashed onto the ground.

A cloud of dust and debris erupted outward as the massive corpse struck the cavern floor.

"Y-You..." The demon stamred, jabbing a trembling finger at Leon. "Why are you still alive? You were supposed to be dead. And why do you look like a kid?"

Leon slowly turned around, a puzzled expression appearing on his face.

"?" He pointed a finger at his own chest. "I’m supposed to be dead? What nonsense are y..." Before he could finish speaking, sothing astonishing happened.

The demon’s blood suddenly began to levitate into the air, stretching between the two severed halves of its body like countless crimson threads. Then the threads tightened. The two halves of the demon’s body were pulled together.

"No freaking way..." Leon’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Under his stunned gaze, the cleaved body fused back together. Flesh reconnected. Muscles knitted themselves back into place. Even the massive wound disappeared without leaving behind the slightest trace.

His own self-healing ability suddenly felt like a joke in comparison.

However, the demon looked just as confused.

It lowered its head and examined its body. Then its gaze shifted to the Frost Monarch’s Blade in Leon’s hand.

Back and forth.

A strange look gradually appeared on its face. Then, without warning, it burst into hysterical laughter.

"Muahahahahaha!" The demon laughed so hard that tears nearly ca out of its eye.

"You tricky human!" it spoke. "You almost fooled with that phony Frost Monarch’s Blade!"

"Phony?" Leon beca even more bewildered.

The creature before him was acting far too strangely. One mont it had been throwing its weight around like an invincible tyrant. The next, it had been fleeing for its life with its tail tucked between its legs.

And now...

Now it was calling the Frost Monarch’s Blade a fake.

The next mont, Leon stopped entertaining the demon and moved again.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!....

The Frost Monarch’s Blade flashed through the air, leaving behind multiple white arcs.

Schlk! Schlk! Schlk!

The demon’s body was sliced apart again and again.

Arms, legs, torso — piece after piece fell to the ground.

Yet before Leon could even catch his breath, the blood scattered across the cavern floor began to move once more. The crimson liquid stretched into countless threads, connecting the severed pieces together.

Then, under Leon’s furious gaze, the pieces were pulled back into place. In the blink of an eye, the demon was whole again.

"Fuck you, demon!" Leon roared and charged forward once more.

The Frost Monarch’s Blade danced wildly.

This ti, he struck more than twenty tis in rapid succession.

Schlk! Schlk! Schlk!

The demon was reduced to dozens of pieces. Chunks of flesh and severed limbs scattered across the cavern floor.

Yet just like before, the blood threads appeared once again. The severed pieces trembled. Then they began sliding across the ground toward one another.

Within monts, the demon had completely restored itself. Not a single wound remained.

Leon nearly choked on his anger.

But before he could launch another attack, the demon suddenly moved. The massive club swept through the air with terrifying speed.

Whoosh!

The weapon slamd directly into Leon’s head.

Boom!

Blood sprayed into the air as he was sent flying.

Just before Leon’s body could crash into the cavern wall, a figure suddenly appeared behind him. A firm hand caught him by the shoulder, stopping his montum entirely before gently lowering him onto the ground.

Leon turned his head.

It was the muscular man from earlier. The sa man who had appeared out of nowhere alongside the mysterious woman.

"Master, are you all right?" the man asked with concern.

Leon’s brows imdiately furrowed in annoyance. One mont, the demon was calling him a fake. The next, this stranger was calling him Master.

’Where the hell did this weird bunch co from?’ Before he could say anything, the demon moved.

Boom!

The crimson creature shot into the air and charged toward them at terrifying speed. Its massive club was raised high, murderous intent radiating from its body.

However, before it could reach them...

Bam!

Two legs suddenly appeared out of nowhere and slamd brutally into the demon’s side.

The impact was so powerful that the demon was sent hurtling into the distance.

It was none other than the woman. She landed gracefully on the ground and never took her eyes off the demon.

"Frenrir," she said calmly, "take Master sowhere safe."

The muscular man imdiately nodded.

anwhile, Leon stared at them with a strange expression.

’Great. She’s nuts too.’ He mused.
