Chapter 43: Please

"Ran, I was deceived..." I started crying from my own stupidity.
"Don’t worry, I’ll save you..." Ran aid her bow toward , wanting to help, but she was surrounded and chased by several branches and was caught along with .
"What are we going to do now... glory... my teacher." I called my teacher, hoping he could hear and co to save us, but it was useless, no one responded.
The trees, smiling with their ugly faces, enjoyed playing with us, as they directed a sharp branch toward us, intending to kill us.
It was really over for us this ti, I closed my tearful eyes.
Then suddenly, I heard an incomprehensible voice. Quickly, I opened my eyes to find a figure that looked like us; his clothes were tattered and torn in several places, his black hair ssy.
He looked at us with his black eyes and spoke:
"Hgvhh hdfkk ghhgh ghjgyg hfggghf"
His form imdiately changed — blue eyes with a sharp black pupil and blue fur that moved.
As I stared at the amazing scene, suddenly that figure disappeared, and I found myself being carried by him, held by my waist. He placed on the ground.
"Thank you." I looked at him with shining eyes.
"Hjjkjjikjsjs jwjsnaia jajabas hshsja."
His language of speech was not like ours.
He turned, pointing his sword toward the moving trees.
"Hjjhjghgh jhhhgg hhvhhg jhhhv gfgjgjjk."
His words were incomprehensible as he went to fight the moving trees.
"Don’t tire yourself, he’s a human, not from the elves. I learned about them in the village school; they look like us but differ in hair, ears, and especially age — our lifespan is longer than a human’s." Ran spoke as she adjusted her clothes and fixed her skirt.
"I heard in the village school that humans used us like slaves, generation after generation... until it developed into escaping into the forests and hiding from sight, that’s why we are hidden in the Great Forest."
"That’s why it’s better to escape now. Rin, co on before he finishes off the moving trees." She extended her palm, wanting to take it.
I turned and looked at the captivating scene where that mysterious person killed the trees easily.
"Does it seem like he’s thinking about what you said? Why is he helping us like this? He could’ve kidnapped us and escaped imdiately without tiring himself fighting these ugly-faced trees; they move very slowly."
"Look out, watch out, you!" That person was stabbed by tree branches, being held in the air, but he took advantage of that and sent his sword toward the tree’s face, breaking the branches and continuing the fight as if nothing had happened to him.
"Phew... he scared for a mont. Why is he risking himself like this just to kill these trees?" I put my hand on my heart and felt relieved.
"This..." Ran opened her mouth but couldn’t find what to say.
After a while, all those trees were killed, and that person returned to his human form. I walked toward him without any fear.
"Rin..." Ran tried to stop .
"What an amazing way of fighting! Your performance was really great." I clasped my hands together and began approaching him happily.
He shrugged his shoulders, tilting his head right and left.
"Jsjnsns jahahaha ggxhx"
Unfortunately, I couldn’t understand anything he said. I tilted my head in confusion, wondering how to understand him.
"Don’t tire yourself, Rin, it’s better to go back now." Ran put her hands on my shoulders, urging to leave.
"Don’t move..." Suddenly, when I was about to turn to try again, my brother appeared, pointing his sword at the neck of that strange person. And the strange person also pointed his sword at my brother’s neck.
"My brother, Kai!"
"Step back, Rin, this is a dangerous place... I have to deal with this person."
"My dear daughter, did sothing happen to you? Let your brother check." A young man wearing elegant white clothes with green ponytail hair approached — that was my father.
He began looking around in all directions.
"Father..."
"Don’t worry, your father will take care of this person... we will." He drew his needle sword from its sheath and pointed it toward the neck of that person as well.
Almost all the village guards gathered around the mysterious figure.
"My brother, this person doesn’t understand our language, and he’s my savior, please don’t hurt him..." I went toward my brother and begged him to forgive that human.
"Stay back, sister, he’s a human... dangerous to us... they see us as re slaves, just tools to serve them and feed their desires." He said angrily, moving his sword closer to the mysterious person’s neck, wounding him slightly.
"But he saved ..." Tears began to fall from my eyes.
"They deceive you with their kindness, to attack you when you lower your guard." He insisted.
"Why don’t we take him to Grandma Fia, she will determine whether his thoughts are against us or not."
Ran spoke seriously and stood firmly, as if explaining and insisting on her decision.
"Hmmm... this seems like a reasonable idea. Please, Father... Brother... give him a chance." I looked at them with tearful eyes.
Sigh "Fine... we’ll take him to the village chief Grandma Fia, and she will decide what we’ll do with him." My brother lowered his sword from the mysterious person’s neck, while the others still held their weapons against him.
He stepped back to give the mysterious person room to move.
That person looked at , and I clasped my hands together, pleading for him to move forward. It didn’t take long before he lowered his sword, placed it in its sheath, and started walking, the group surrounding him but no longer threatening him with their weapons.
"Thank you." I went and hugged Ran tightly.
"Don’t forget he saved too... now we’ll face the teacher Ma’an’s anger as well."
Her tone changed in her last words.
"Hehehehe..."
