Chapter 376: 【294~295】Fla God Treasure! (Seeking monthly tickets and recomndations)_3

A middle-aged man with sideburns sat by the window, holding a book. When he saw Pei Jinye wake up, he closed the book.

If he hadn’t made a sound, Pei Jinye might not have noticed him at all.

At the sound, Pei Jinye tensed up instantly.

He looked towards the source of the sound.

Unable to imdiately discern the man’s identity, he could only nod slightly.

“How do you feel?” the middle-aged man asked softly, “You’ve got guts; that was an adult Fire Dragon, at least Seventh Rank. You’re lucky to be alive. Are all mbers of the Pei Family so brave?”

“Sorry, I… I seem to have… lost my mory,” Pei Jinye didn’t dare to make any rash moves, still unclear about the other party’s background; he didn’t want to expose his abilities carelessly.

Right, abilities…

He clandestinely glanced at his attribute panel.

Dense and nurous, all in available state.

Luckily, they were still there.

These were his confidence!

“Lost your mory?” the middle-aged man’s brow furrowed, “Then what do you rember?”

Pei Jinye observed the man’s expression and shook his head, “My surna is Pei…”

The man’s brow furrowed even more, glanced at Pei Jinye, and said, “Gaia, notify the dical team and have them send a doctor to check on Pei Jinye.”

A cold chanical voice responded, “Understood, your directive has been communicated.”

Gaia?

Isn’t that the Federation’s AI?

Pei Jinye hesitated internally.

“Am I now in the Western Continent?”

“But I clearly don’t recognize the man in front of , yet he calls by my na as if he’s quite familiar with …”

“An adult Fire Dragon? It couldn’t be that one, could it? Could I have already received an opportunity?”

Nurous doubts surfaced in his mind.

As Pei Jinye lay on the bed, the middle-aged man silently observed him and finally said, “Do you really not rember anything?”

“I really don’t rember…” Pei Jinye said, looking directly and shaking his head: “What happened at the ti?”

“In fact, only you would know what exactly happened,” the middle-aged man still holding the book said softly, “We found you lying on the ground. But if possible, you will still need to try to recall what happened in Dragon Valley.”

Pei Jinye looked at him.

The man patiently said, “We were tasked with preventing an explosion targeted at Gaia, and we inadvertently entered Dragon Valley. Then a volcano erupted, and an adult Fire Dragon appeared. Amidst the storm, you went missing… We saw you grabbing onto the Fire Dragon… and tracked you here…

When we got here, we found you lying on the ground. If you hadn’t bravely charged forward, Gaia’s hangar would really have been in trouble… Once you’ve recovered from your injuries, the Western Continent will award you a dal for Combat Heroism…”

Pei Jinye endeavored to digest all this.

He felt bewildered and thought the whole thing preposterous.

From this conversation, he realized he was indeed Pei Jinye, but the experiences belonged to soone else, not him.

So… the current him was actually in so special environnt.

“Reality?”

“Other Shore?”

Thinking of the Other Shore, Pei Jinye could only marvel at the mysterious forces in this world, indeed powerful enough to overturn any established beliefs.

A brain comparable to an AI inford him of a conclusion: the world he was in was real, and it was very possible that he was experiencing a predetermined truth in a long river of ti.

“Whose past?”

“Fla God?”

Pei Jinye looked doubtful.

Could the Fla God also be a mber of the Federation?

That clearly didn’t match the information he knew. Or could it be that the Fla God altered the background circumstances through so mystic thod, allowing him to experience it?

“That Old Dragon really had no good intentions…”

If everything was indeed real, it ant that the Fire Dragon had seen the original Pei Jinye!

“What is the Old Dragon hiding?”

The voice of the AI Gaia ca through, “The doctor is outside the door; shall I let him in?”

“Let him in,” the middle-aged man nodded.

The tal door opened silently.

The middle-aged doctor who had last treated Pei Jinye entered, pushing dical equipnt and sweating profusely, “What’s the matter, Captain Wei?”

“Pei Jinye has amnesia, might be a traumatic brain injury; take a look at him,” Wei Shurao directed the middle-aged doctor.

“Amnesia?” The doctor was taken aback, clearly surprised.

He imdiately took out a scanner, placed it on Pei Jinye’s head, and a green light swept past.

Soon, a data sheet appeared on the nearby monitor.

The doctor picked up the sheet and reviewed it quickly, comnting, “It may be due to a temporary awakening, combined with the high fall and the use of anesthesia. His brain shows signs of regeneration, but essentially there are no major issues. His mory should return over ti. If you have concerns, I can arrange for a detailed examination.”

Wei Shurao looked at Pei Jinye, “Would you like one?”

“Then I’ll trouble you,” Pei Jinye said to the middle-aged doctor.

“It’s no trouble. Captain Wei, I’ll inform you when the results are in. I’ll take him now,” the middle-aged doctor babbled, “Wow, your mission this ti seems quite perilous. I’ve already done five major surgeries; I haven’t slept in two days.”

As he said this, he looked at Pei Jinye, “You’re truly lucky. If it weren’t for a sudden awakening, even a divine intervention might not have saved you.”

Awakening?

Pei Jinye reviewed his attribute panel once more.

No new genes had been added.

He could only play dumb.

Seek opportunities to glean more information, to better impersonate.

Since he was here, the opportunity was certainly to be seized.

Pei Jinye did want to act recklessly, but the current state of his body… was already a sign that being attacked here could likely bring irreversible harm.

On the way, Pei Jinye and the doctor chatted a lot, quietly noting down considerable amounts of information.

His na was Pei Jinye, a mber of the Seventh Inspection Team of Nagano, Western Continent.

“So realistic…”

This was even more realistic than the elite assessnt he had undergone at first.

Pei Jinye exhaled deeply.

From this mont, he was Pei Jinye, the Pei Jinye of this world.

“I wonder if Devouring here is still effective?”
