On the other side.

Qiu City Street Health Center, Traditional Chinese dicine Consultation Room.

"I’ve encountered several stomach cancer patients in the past week or so at the Health Center, and I’ve always had a question in my mind: what is the pathogenesis of stomach cancer?"

Ji Xiuwen poured a cup of water for Lu Xuan and placed it down, sitting across from Lu Xuan, he expressed his doubt: "I’ve also looked through so related records in dical books, but there are so many factors involved, and there are too many dical books, it’s difficult to synthesize them for research. I think, if we want to diagnose and treat stomach cancer dialectically, we must understand the pathogenesis clearly."

That Ji Xiuwen could raise such doubts demonstrated that he was thinking in this direction, which was a good thing.

At least, that’s what Lu Xuan thought.

"I think it’s great that you’re thinking this way, at least you’re trying to understand the reasons."

Lu Xuan couldn’t help but praise and, after a brief contemplation, said: "Actually, you also know that our traditional Chinese dicine does not have the term ’stomach cancer,’ or ’cancer’ at all. Discussions in this regard are mostly sparsely recorded under diseases such as ’Stomachache,’ ’Regurgitation,’ ’Dysphagia,’ ’Lump glomus,’ ’Accumulation and Gathering,’ etc.

In one of the Chapters of ’Suwen·Chapter on Abdominal Diseases’: ’The Emperor said: If there is fullness in the lower abdon, with roots above and below, left and right, what is this disease? Can it be treated? Qibo said: This disease is called Lump Glomus. ... Its qi overflows into the large intestine and attaches to the cecum, which is originally located below the navel, thus it causes pain around the navel.’

’Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet’ also discusses related matters: ’Eating in the morning and vomiting in the evening, eating in the evening and vomiting in the morning, undigested food stays, it is called Stomach Reversal.’

’dical Canon of Gold Mirror’ provides a more detailed description of the causes and clinical phenona of stomach cancer: ’The three yangs are heat-bound, naly the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine, the three bowels are heat-bound without dispersing, burning and refining bodily fluids... the cardia is dry, so the road for receiving water and cereals is narrow, thus food cannot pass down, leading to dysphagia; the pylorus is dry, so the road for expelling digested matter is narrow, resulting in regurgitation upon intake.’

Long-term dietary irregularities, emotional imbalance, labor fatigue, or external pathogens can cause functional disorders of the body’s viscera and ridians, imbalance of yin and yang, leading to a series of pathological changes such as food accumulation, qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm accumulation, and toxic obstruction, eventually resulting in lumps and forming cancer.

The pathogenesis of stomach cancer is rooted in spleen and stomach deficiency, with qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm accumulation, and toxin binding as the symptoms.

Knowing the pathogenesis of the disease makes the treatnt relatively simpler, therefore, in the treatnt of stomach cancer, thods such as supporting the right and fortifying the root, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, clearing heat and detoxifying are often used."

"If we’re really talking about dialectical treatnt, stomach cancer should also be divided into many situations, right?" Ji Xiuwen looked up at Lu Xuan.

"Naturally..."

Lu Xuan nodded with a smile, just about to speak, but the phone put aside rang at this mont, startling all three people sitting in the consultation room.

Lu Xuan turned to take a look and saw it was a call from Huang Beishan. He signaled the two not to speak and answered the call directly:

"Elder Huang, is there sothing you need from ?"

"Just call Old Huang, I’ve told you many tis."

"Isn’t it hard to change that imdiately?" Lu Xuan laughed awkwardly.

Huang Beishan didn’t say more and went straight to the point: "Dr. Lu, I’m calling you because there’s an urgent matter requiring you to co to the City First Hospital’s Cardiology Departnt inpatient special ward. There’s a patient whose condition is quite critical. Old Zhou, I, and even Zhou Qihua from the City First Hospital’s ergency departnt recomnded you; maybe you can think of a way to treat him."

"Is it very serious?"

"Coronary heart disease angina, also known as acute myocardial infarction."

Lu Xuan’s expression tightened. This was a life-threatening condition, and without tily treatnt, the patient might not last even an hour or two.

"Understood, I’ll head over right away."

Lu Xuan quickly agreed without delay and got up to tell Su Kenan and the others: "Tell the Director I’ll be going to the City First Hospital."

Having said that, he left the Traditional Chinese dicine consultation room without looking back.
