In the attic of Wei’s Pharmacy, tucked away in the backyard.
“Damn it! Stop right now!” As Wei Lulin felt his body weakening and life slipping away, his expression shifted in alarm. He inwardly scread in protest.
Yet, the process that had begun in his mind was unyielding to his internal cries, relentlessly pressing on. Observing his increasingly emaciated fra, Wei Lulin was at a loss for what to do.
In his past life, halting a program was as simple as shutting down the system or cutting the power. But in this mont, he was helpless, forced to watch the relentless progression.
By the ti his body had withered to a skeletal state, his complexion pale as a sheet, the ridian Grass in his grasp had finally taken form, and the draining force ceased. He was left clinging to life by a thread.
Lying there, drained of strength, he panted heavily, feeling a surge of relief: “Thank goodness I only replicated enough ridian Grass for five years. Had I gone for ten, I’d be nothing but bones now.”
Yet, the realization that duplicating and pasting a herb required the use of his own blood, bones, and flesh left him questioning the usefulness of his ability.
The recent ordeal made Wei Lulin hesitant to attempt it again. Nevertheless, the allure of such a potent ability to duplicate and paste was enticing.
Damaged ridians, low status, and lack of regard were harsh realities that made it clear to him: to live securely, he must depend solely on himself and this formidable power.
Reflecting on the recent events, Wei Lulin considered that there might be a solution he hadn’t thought of yet. “I rember an online novel I once read! Usually, people need a substantial amount of energy or spiritual power to wield such formidable abilities.” With this epiphany, his eyes brightened, and he attempted to rise to retrieve sothing.
But he had forgotten the toll the replication of the ridian Grass had taken on his body. His feeble arms failed to support him, and he collapsed to the ground with a thud, the sharp pain eliciting a low groan from him.
There was no need for haste. He should wait, wait until his strength returned. Wei Lulin reassured himself.
After regaining so strength, Wei Lulin inched his way to the edge of the bed. With effort, he shifted the pillow aside to reveal a cloth-wrapped bundle underneath.
He unwrapped the bundle slowly to find a collection of gold, silver, and copper coins, along with seven lackluster stones.
“This is the mont of truth,” he thought as he selected a stone with a faint sheen. Holding it in his palm, Wei Lulin silently commanded, “Activate the program.”
As the program activated, a pulling sensation erged in his mind. His arm began to draw in the stone from his palm. Within a minute, the once slightly lustrous stone darkened, softened, and ultimately crumbled into powder, slipping through his fingers.
In place of the stone, five identical ridian Grass appeared in his hand.
“It actually works!” Overwheld with emotion at the sight of the ridian Grass and its peculiar scent, Wei Lulin was moved to tears.
His destiny was now irrevocably altered! At last, he could steer the course of his own life!
Once he had composed himself, Wei Lulin examined the ridian Grass in his hand and reflected, “My initial speculation was spot on. I’m on the brink of a monuntal ascent.”
With this in mind, he took the remaining six darker stones and repeated the process. In the end, he had 24 ridian Grass in his possession.
“The more abundant the Spiritual Energy in the Spirit Stones, the greater the quantity of dicinal herbs that can be replicated,” he mused, comparing the yield from his efforts.
His gaze then fell upon the mound of white powder at his feet. The seven stones he had used were no ordinary rocks; they were a unique product of the Eternal Continent known as Spirit Locking Stones.
What are Spirit Locking Stones?
In areas where the Heaven Earth Spiritual Energy is exceptionally dense, particularly in unique landscapes, a significant amount of Spiritual Energy is absorbed and stored. Over ti, these landscapes can develop into Spirit Veins, which contain Spirit Stones.
Spirit Stones are categorized into ten grades based on the amount of Spiritual Energy they hold. Grade Ten is the lowest, known as Low Grade Spirit Stones, while Grade One is the highest, referred to as Top Grade Spirit Stones.
In addition to producing Spirit Stones, the surrounding area of a Spirit Vein, constantly bathed in Spiritual Energy, can give rise to stones that, although not eting the grade, still contain traces of Spiritual Energy. These are the Spirit Locking Stones.
The seven stones that he had just taken out were indeed Spirit Locking Stones.
Martial cultivators can enhance their strength by absorbing Heaven Earth Spiritual Energy. However, due to the diffuse nature of this energy in the air, it is exceedingly difficult for cultivators to rely solely on the ambient energy for rapid advancent. Thus, during their training, they either choose locations rich in Spiritual Energy or resort to using external aids.
Their preferred aids are Spirit Stones, Pills, and the like.

The stones were depleted in re minutes, yet Wei Lulin felt no regret. To him, treasures that couldn’t be utilized were worthless. As long as the Spirit Locking Stones could nd his damaged Spirit Veins, allowing him to absorb Heaven Earth Spiritual Energy and bolster his cultivation, he saw no reason for sorrow.
After brightening the room, Wei Lulin settled onto the bed with so effort and arrayed the 31 strands of ridian Grass before him.
He inhaled deeply, achieving a state of complete serenity, then picked up a strand of ridian Grass, chewed it gently, and swallowed it in one go.
