C15 – Qi Refining Stage Level Two

As Wei Lulin’s cultivation progressed, he harnessed the Spiritual Qi with increasing speed.

Initially, Wei Lulin could deplete only one Spirit Locking Stone per day. However, after three days, he was nearly consuming two, and by the fifth day, he was using up three stones daily.

In just eight days, Wei Lulin had exhausted all 17 high-quality Spirit Locking Stones. Five of his twelve ridians were now brimming with spiritual energy, and the sixth was halfway there.

Surveying the white powder scattered on the ground, Wei Lulin showed no signs of distress or attachnt. To him, anything that could bolster his strength was worth the cost. Whether it was seventeen Spirit Locking Stones or consuming seventeen top-grade Spirit Stones at once, he wouldn’t bat an eye. Without a mont’s hesitation, he took out a Grade Ten Low Rank Spirit Stone and continued his pursuit of power.

If the ambient spirit energy was akin to a droplet of water, and that within a Spirit Locking Stone was like a cup, then the energy within the Grade Ten Low Rank Spirit Stone was comparable to a large bucket.

Wei Lulin was elated by the Qi within the Grade Ten Low Rank Spirit Stone. He had been concerned that it wouldn’t be sufficient for him to advance to the Qi Refining Stage Level Two, especially since he’d already used so of it to replicate the Sun Opening Fruit. But now, his worries were assuaged. The Qi from the stone was not only enough to propel him to Level Two but also to sustain further cultivation.

With a tranquil mind and steady breath, he pressed on with his enhancent.

His rate of improvent surged once more. Previously, it took over a day to fully charge a ridian, but now, it required just over three hours.

In just over a day, all twelve of Wei Lulin’s ridians were saturated with Spiritual Force. Conventionally, he should have focused on refining this energy into a more potent form. However, Wei Lulin chose a different path. After a brief respite, he gathered several stalks of ridian Grass and a leaf from the Sun Opening Fruit Tree to continue his journey.

Wei Lulin swallowed a dozen ridian Grass and then held a leaf from the Sun Opening Fruit Tree in his mouth. As the ridian Grass’s energy began to work, he bit into the leaf, and a peculiar energy flowed from his mouth into his brain. He discovered that with the leaf’s unique energy, he could quickly and clearly observe the ridians in his body and the movent of the twelve ridians.

While he could feel the twelve ridians during his Qi Refining practice, particularly when cultivating the Initial ridian, the sensation was not as distinct as visually observing them. This clarity was the unique property of the Sun Opening Fruit Tree leaf, which could temporarily assist a warrior in monitoring their internal condition.

However, the energy within a single leaf was quite sparse, lasting only three seconds. A one-ter-tall Sun Opening Fruit Tree had just over ten leaves, and their combined energy amounted to barely thirty seconds. This brief duration was insufficient for a cultivator to thoroughly examine their internal state.

Moreover, the leaves were only beneficial to martial artists below the Qi Refining Stage Level Three, which is why they were not considered highly valuable. This is why Wei Ying had only taken the Sun Opening Fruit and Baosan had only taken the Red-eye Blood Wolf’s inner core, leaving the leaves untouched.

For Wei Lulin, these limitations were inconsequential. At the Qi Refining Stage Level One, he was at the pri stage to utilize the leaves. By replicating and using the Red-eye Blood Wolf’s corpse, he had created over 300 leaves, providing him with more than ten minutes to scrutinize his body’s condition.

After experiencing the effects of the leaves, Wei Lulin was clear on his next step. He took a large handful of leaves, placed them in his mouth, and once the energy reached his mind, he ticulously examined his internal state. He had previously believed that the ridians, repaired with nearly 700 ridian Grass, were flawless. Yet, upon closer inspection, he found minor scars on each ridian. These scars did not impede his progress but would undoubtedly have future implications.

To lay the perfect foundation, to scale the heights of martial prowess, and to prolong his life, Wei Lulin spared no effort in addressing every single flaw.

With the aid of the Sun Opening Fruit Tree leaves, Wei Lulin harnessed the energy of the ridian Grass to nd the minuscule injuries on his body, rather than fortifying his ridians.

Once he had healed all the wounds in his sight, the leaves of the Sun Opening Fruit Tree were completely depleted, leaving only a handful of ridian Grass plants.

After nding all the tiny wounds on his ridians, Wei Lulin felt significantly lighter, though he was unsure if it was rely an illusion.

His twelve ridians were brimming with Spiritual Qi, and the next step was to transform this Spiritual Qi into Spiritual Force, which would allow him to progress to the Qi Refining Stage Level Two.

The Qi Refining Stage is comprised of ten levels: Levels One through Three are elentary, Four through Six are interdiate, Seven through Nine are advanced, and Level Ten is Great Perfection.

Levels One through Three involve the simple absorption of Spiritual Qi. The only complex aspect is the transformation of Spiritual Qi into Spiritual Force. While complex, it is not difficult, requiring only patience and ti.

He began channeling the Grand Profound Heart Sutra Cultivation thod, purifying the Spiritual Qi in his ridians, enhancing its purity, and ultimately converting it into Spiritual Force. As the Spiritual Qi transford, the energy within Wei Lulin grew increasingly potent.

Ti passed unmarked as Wei Lulin sat in ditation, fully devoted to the conversion of Spiritual Force. When 90% of the Spiritual Qi had been transford, the Grand Profound Heart Technique he was practicing suddenly quickened its pace.

A thunderous roar emanated from within him as the remaining Spiritual Qi instantaneously morphed into Spiritual Force.

“Qi Refining Stage Level Two!” After nearly ten days of dedication, he had ascended from Qi Refining Stage Level One to Level Two. Overwheld by the transformation, Wei Lulin let out a triumphant yell, giving voice to the thrill and elation surging through him. Once his excitent subsided, he closed his eyes to contemplate the newfound state of his body.

Wei Lulin was well aware that only a minuscule fraction, less than one percent, of the Spiritual Qi was converted into Spiritual Force, leaving him with a scant amount of Spiritual Force. It was so faint that it required his utmost concentration to detect it, but this did not take him by surprise.

He attentively observed the transformation of Spiritual Qi into Spiritual Force, then proceeded to absorb more Spiritual Qi, aiming to convert it into Spiritual Force to bolster the power within his ridians.

Despite the fact that a full hundred percent of Spiritual Qi could only yield one percent of Spiritual Force, the Spiritual Qi from the Grade Ten Low Rank Spirit Stone was initially ample. However, he soon found that the supply from the Low Rank Spirit Stone was rapidly depleting.

Wei Lulin’s rate of progression had always been swift, and upon advancing to the Qi Refining Stage Level Two, his speed had surged tenfold. Moreover, he was capable of storing an amount of Spiritual Force that was three to four tis greater than that of an average martial artist, necessitating an even greater influx of Spiritual Qi.

With only a handful of Grade Ten Low Rank Spirit Stones remaining, Wei Lulin could fill just one ridian with Spiritual Force before the Spirit Stone would disintegrate into dust.
