"T-t-that..."

Edith’s flustered words were clearly heard and felt by Miguel.

Her emotions were so fluctuating that even he could feel it through their telepathic connection as a summoner and innate beast.

Miguel tilted his head in confusion as he waited for her answer.

However, a minute passed by and Edith was still not answering. Miguel even felt that she was pursing her lips at this mont.

"Ahh right, it’s not just , that girl in the red dress also helped," Edith suddenly blurted, trying to evade Miguel’s question.

"Girl in red dress? Aaliyah?"

Edith nodded her head, sighing internally, thinking that she had escaped.

"Okay, I’ll thank her later. And what about the thod of saving from becoming demonized?" Miguel asked once again.

However, seeing that Edith still did not want to respond, Miguel rely smiled and shook his head, "Well, never mind if you’re unwilling to say it."

Hearing that, Edith beca disheartened for so reason. Although she was shy and embarrassed, deep inside, she actually truly wanted to tell him.

"Actually, its-" She was about to tell the whole story to him when she was interrupted midway by Miguel.

"Right, you seem to be very familiar with demonized beasts, can you tell in detail about them? And also tell about your era, if you’re comfortable with it," Miguel stated politely.

At this point, Miguel’s Innate Skill that was screaming for him to co to this place to resolve the problem was now gone.

Miguel realized that it did not tell him to co here to search for the source of his infection and resolve this matter through it. Instead, it told him to co here, because his intuition knew that he would get a sign-in opportunity here, receive Edith, that would later help him with his predicant.

Although he indeed got saved, it was not from his speculations.

And with his predicant now solved, Miguel’s earlier haste has now subsided, and he now has a ti to ask in peace like this.

Although he knew from the start that getting demonized was very dangerous, he did not think that it would affect him so easily like that.

It was very mysterious and strange. It can infect and alter one’s mind, but the willpower of a person has no effect on it.

From his previous life, Miguel experienced a lot of ntal demons and trials during his early days in cultivation.

He thought that being demonized in this world was sothing like getting blocked by a ntal demon, he did not expect that it was different.

Although it affects one’s mind like ntal demons, it would not actually go to one’s mind, and just basically revert a being to its most primal instinct, allowing the infected body to move in instinct.

No matter how strong one’s willpower was, it would still amount to nothing if the problem did not attack the ’will’ of a person.

Even Miguel, a being who lived for countless years, was still helpless against it due to his current body.

And as a person who craved knowledge more than anything else, Miguel was curious about this thing that almost ended his second chance at life.

"It’s my pleasure," Edith regained her usual confidence as she began to describe the demonic beast in details and so matters regarding her past.

"As you already know, I do not belong to this era. Although I don’t know what year we are in right now, I could still tell that my era was a very long ti ago," Edith said with a hint of lancholy and longing in her voice.

"In my era, warriors and summoners dominated the continent. Due to summoners being limited and rare, warriors have beco the main force to contend with the demonic forces in the west," she continued.

"Demonic forces?" Miguel interrupted, curious about the demonic forces that she was talking about.

At this mont, Miguel was still unaware of a lot of things regarding this world.

He did not know about the other, but he surely knew that there was no such thing as demonic forces in Blazing Expanse that they were in right now.

The huge scrooge that bugged the populace here were only the bandits, the dangerous beasts, and then so casual demonized beast. As for demonic forces, he had never heard of such a thing even when they stayed at Red Cliff City before.

Edith simply nodded her head and continued, "Yes, demonic forces."

"Usually, they are just beasts or any living being that was infected by demonic miasma and has gone berserk and reverted back to their most primal desires and instinct. So rare cases also include the Demon race themselves, terrorizing everything they land their foot to."

Hearing those bits of information, Miguel knew that he was in for a deep knowledge overdrive this ti, "What is this Demon race and demonic miasma? Where do they co from?"

The demon race he knew from his previous world was a noble race of extrely handso n and won. They were already rare back on his days as they were hunted by soone powerful before due to revenge. Those that survived were either very strong, or had pleaded rcy.

"Well, based on your responses, I can indeed confirm that I ca from a very distant era. Back then, even a 1 year old child from the utmost corner of the continent knew of demons and demonic miasma."

"Anyways, according to what I know, demons had originally descended from a place called hell. They are very strong and sinister creatures. They like to torture and enjoy eating human flesh. The mont they descended into this world, they imdiately brought chaos and confusion to the people."

"Along with their ability to spread demonic miasma to control the body of any being they encountered, they could easily amass an army of demonized beings to fight for them and pillage all kinds of resources everywhere in the world."

"It was also due to this ability that we could not easily defeat these demonic forces as so of them who had beco part of their army were once our comrade or even soone very close to us..." Edith paused for a mont upon reaching this part.

A distant mory surfaced on her mind before she continued, "As for the demonic miasma, you can regard them as the blood of the demon race."

"Every infection has a source, and it is even more so with the demonic miasma that always cos from a real Demon."

She turned to look at Miguel and said, "As for the source of the demonic miasma that you have contracted, I might actually know where it ca from."
