Miguel observed Carn for a bit before he nodded his head in confirmation.

He noticed that she was just an ordinary human with no ounce of Grimoire Summoning Energy in her. She was neither a Grimoire Summoner nor a Martial Artist, yet Miguel wondered why was she chosen to be the receptionist of such an important area such as the library.

’Interesting. It looks like the Red Family is very confident in the strength of the elder guarding this place,’ Miguel thought to himself.

Miguel had never t the elder who was responsible for guarding this place during his inauguration ceremony. In fact, not only this elder, there were still a lot of elders that Miguel had not t, and was not even aware of for the ti being.

He heard that the ones who attended the ceremony were just the surface elder of the Red Family and that they still had old and strong elders who were in seclusion or were busy with so other matters.

Anyway, Miguel ignored Carn as he, Aaliyah and Edith began to look around for a good spot to read, which they found a few monts later.

It was at the very corner of the first floor. Maybe because it was at the corner and was far from the book shelves, the area was deserted to the point that there were a lot of free reading tables around it.

After settling themselves, the trio no longer wasted any more ti as they began searching for books they were interested in.

The first floor or the first level of the floor only stored mortal level knowledge. It includes the history of the world, the Red Family, the empire and so other basic knowledge that one could easily find anywhere in Blazing City.

These were the kind of mundane knowledge that most rcenaries and summoners would not bother looking in detail as they already know most of it.

For Miguel and the other two though, this place was a haven.

It did not take long for the three of them to settle and quiet down as they imrsed themselves in the books that they had chosen.

For the ti being, the three of them focused on the history of the world, mainly, the ven Empire and the Red Family’s history.

For one, they wanted to understand the situation even better, for another, Aaliyah wanted to grasp how much ti had passed since her passing.

Edith was also curious about such a thing so she began looking for information about the history of this world as well.

Although Miguel wanted to look for suitable substitute materials for his new skill, he ultimately decided to learn of the world, and the Red Family’s history first.

He had already learned so information in Alderic’s library but he knew that the information there was limited.

Compared to how massive the first floor here was, Alderic’s library could only pale in comparison.

With them being imrsed on what they read, ti passed in the blink of an eye.

Unknowingly, it was already nearing evening.

Miguel looked up at the pile of books that he had managed to read. There were a lot of them, but for Miguel’s reading and comprehension speed, this amount was nothing.

The Red Family library was open twenty-four seven.

However, Miguel decided to stop for the ti being.

He could have chosen to stay longer and read more, but looking at his two companions, Miguel ultimately decided to stop.

Looking at Aaliyah who had a frown on her face, Miguel stood up and patted her head to gain her attention.

"We shall end it here for today," he said with a worried smile on his face.

Aaliyah’s frown diminished and was replaced with a smile hearing his voice. She nodded her head and stood up along with Edith.

Miguel did not say anything else as they made their way to the exit after he put the books back to where they belong with his [Psychokinesis] skill.

At the receptionist table, Miguel noticed that Carn was still there.

She was busy writing so stuff and did not even detect Miguel and the other two approaching.

Miguel knocked on the table to gain her attention.

It was only then did she look up.

"We’re done," he stated.

Carn nodded her head and wrote down their information in a book.

Her work includes to list those who ca in and out of the library.

Miguel already knew this beforehand so he inford her about it in order not to make her work harder.

After she was done, she told Miguel and the other two that they may now leave since they only read on the first floor. Normally, those who ca from the second floor and upwards would need to report to her what book they read or what technique they wanted to get before leaving the facility.

After that, Miguel and the two decided to visit Maras’ Tavern once again.

They planned to go there rely to have dinner as the three of them don’t know how to cook a proper al.

Maras was now more lively compared to before. It was apparent that he had been relieved of what he was feeling before.

Smiles of relief were released out of his face more often. He has an amiable smile as he talked to Miguel respectfully.

"Elder Journey, this may sound presumptuous but why don’t you hire a maid to take care of your daily needs in the villa? I reckon that it would be more efficient that way compared to going down here every ti you wanted to eat."

Maras had observed how ’Journey’ and his two companions enjoyed their als every ti they ca here.

Grateful of ’Journey’ helping him resolve his issue, he decided to ask him this question even if it ant losing a daily custor in his tavern.

"I have already thought about it. I will get one when the ti cos, I am still settling so things in the villa after all," Miguel replied casually.
