Miguel stared at Don intently.

He had still not forgotten the information he got from Jonas a few weeks ago.

It was this brat who ordered Jonas to kill the fool Miguel, prompting him to poison the fool Miguel in the hopes of killing him in silence without arousing Marcel’s suspicions.

He indeed succeeded, but it also resulted in a terrifying existence like Miguel taking over the boy’s body.

"Why are you here at my residence?"

Miguel had already previously stated that he did not want to be disturbed, especially by a youngster like Don. Even if he didn’t speak, Miguel would still be able to sense his foul personality. Underneath her mask, even Edith herself could tell that Don was not soone good.

Don woke up from his stupor and secretly cursed Journey under his breath. If not for the fact that he was here with a motive to befriend him, would he even act so submissively in front of him?

He was soone the whole family supported because of his talent. Even the other elders would respect him as though he were the current head. Unfortunately, Journey was a new elder, and he was especially strong. Even his father could not see through his strength at all. Hence, he was tasked with befriending Journey and, if possible, being under his tutelage.

He cald down his inner anger and stated with a smile, "Ah, Elder Journey, it’s like this. I was tasked by my father to give these books and an identity badge to you."

As he said that, Don closed his eyes and began to chant inwardly.

A silver grimoire was then summoned in front of him in a few seconds. He looked at Journey with a prideful smile on his face as he waved his hands, taking out the books that he purposely stored inside to show off his grimoire.

Expectations welled up inside him. He was praised heavily in the family due to his talent. He was able to reach Elite Summoner Rank and have a Silver Grade Grimoire at a very young age. Next year, he was already planning to go to the capital to study and boost his influence and strength.

He waited for ’Journey’ and Edith’s surprised reaction to him being a genius of the century.

However, he was destined to be disappointed this ti.

Miguel and Edith did not care about his talent at all, if he could even be considered one.

"Tell your father that he has my thanks," Miguel stated as the badge and the books floated toward him slowly using his [Psychokinesis] before they disappeared before reaching the box that was situated in front of him.

Don’s mind shook because of what he had just witnessed.

The floating of the objects made him feel as if he were a country bumpkin who did not know anything.

’What was that?’ He thought to himself as he stared in front of him with dazed eyes. This was the first ti he had seen sothing so magical.

Moving an object without lifting an arm? He suspected that it was Journey’s Innate Skill, but he had never heard of such an Innate Skill before.

What shocked him the most, though, was their nonchalance upon seeing him summon a Silver Grade Grimoire at such a young age.

Being so talented, this was the first ti that he had been disregarded as a common item in the market. This was a huge blow to him since he had always received praise.

Rage and hatred welled deep inside him.

He recovered from his daze, only to discover that Journey and Edith were no longer there.

"Hmmp! You’re just ignorant of my talent, you senile old fossil!"

...

Miguel did not hear his rants. Even if he did, he would not care. Don was soone he must kill anyway.

Gasper had sort of redeed himself from his previous actions. Miguel thought that he deserved a second chance, and it was proven that he was indeed correct. Nowadays, Gasper has been milder and will always try to protect his cousin, even if he would be at a disadvantage.

He did not know if Don would be able to change, but even if he did, Miguel would not care and would still kill him. Soone like him was dangerous to keep around. Gasper was only a brute, while Don knew how to use his brain.

And speaking of soone he must kill, he also has soone he must visit tonight.

Anyway, the market was not that far from the villa as well, so they managed to arrive at a bustling market after a few minutes of leisurely walking.

Along the way, they attracted curious gazes from the people around them due to their get-up. Their masks were especially conspicuous, allowing almost all who saw them to have their eyes remain in their mask for too long to observe.

As they were only normal stares, Miguel did not think too much about them.

They did not bother with the normal people and continued to walk at an unhurried pace.

The market was very large, and multiple stores were set up adjacent to each other, right beside the pathway in the middle.

It was bustling with activity, but not to the point that it was overly crowded.

After looking around for a few more minutes, Miguel finally found the kind of store that they were looking for.

It was not that big since they only accept orders, and they would just deliver the products to their custors’ doorsteps.

Aside from that, it also offered to beco a middleman for rcenaries who knew how to do odd jobs such as carpentry, masonry, and so on. However, since Miguel knew how to do such jobs himself, he did not have to hire others.

These were just normal materials, so Miguel only spent around 2 Gold Coins in total for all the materials they needed.

After taking their address, the cashier’s eyes imdiately went wide in surprise, perhaps surprised that he personally ca here to buy the materials instead of just asking a servant. After all, as soone with a villa, it was only normal that they had servants, right?

The cashier looked at Miguel strangely but did not talk too much about it. After she inford another worker, she told Miguel that it would be delivered to the villa in an hour at most.

The store was known for their efficiency and honesty, so Miguel was not worried that they wouldn’t deliver the materials to them. With his current status as a Red Family elder anyway, only the bravest soul would dare scam him in Blazing City.

After that, Miguel and Edith road around the market in hope of finding a rare and neglected treasure.

Each person has different luck, and even mortals would be able to chance upon a lucky encounter every now and then.

Strolling around in the market, they were betting on their own luck to chance upon such people who wanted to sell their lucky encounter to others.

At the sa ti, Miguel also made sure to familiarize himself with the place. He also bought a small map of Blazing City in one of the stores for a few silver coins.

So miscellaneous items were also bought by them, as well as so decorations and items that Edith liked. All of them were just normal items, though, as the market for summoners and martial artists was in a different area.

Unfortunately, though, they did not find any sellers of their ’lucky encounter’ this ti around.

Miguel and Edith did not mind, though, as they were only casually looking around while familiarizing themselves with the area.

A mont later, they ca into a popular tavern recomnded by one of the locals he spoke to earlier.

It was said that there were strong people who ca here to drink and enjoy their ti. Apparently, they serve good beer that so martial artists could not get enough of.

Miguel was also familiar with the owner of the tavern, as he was soone important enough to get invited during his inauguration ceremony.

The tavern was a wooden establishnt with a moderate size. It was at the farthest end of the market; it was closer to the central part of the city, a few ters away from the main street.

Miguel and Edith entered and were imdiately greeted by the bustling scene of people drinking.

There was a mix of strong and weak auras around the tavern.

It was obvious that normal people and martial artists do not ostracize each other here. Miguel took a quick glance and realized that most of them, although weak, still had a fierce and spirited aura around them.

Miguel guesses that they were rcenaries.

The mont they entered, a lot of curious gazes were attracted to them as well.

Miguel did not bother about them as he walked towards the bar table along with Edith.

"I did not expect for you to personally grace my humble tavern with your presence, Elder Journey. Allow to welco you warmly with a drink. What do you want? It’s on the house for your first shot."
