Arlan claid the daily reward from the mysterious app after waking up from a long sleep. He slept late last night so he felt tired all over his body.

A syringe with blue liquid suddenly appeared in front of him. Arlan grabbed and muttered. "What's this for?" He didn't know what would happen to him if he injected the serum into his body so he was quite hesitant to use it. Furthermore, it looked like an illegal substance used by drug addicts so it made him even more doubtful of its effects.
Arlan decided to keep it first.
After taking a hot shower and eating his breakfast, Arlan went to the unit where his parents were staying. He chatted with them about what they should do now that they were in the city.
His mother and father were used to working in their land so they felt bored staying in their spacious unit. They asked Arlan if they could work sowhere so he promised them that he would find a suitable job for them.
"Mom, Dad... you two should not leave the hotel for now. You should familiarize yourself here first since this will be your new ho. If you want to leave the hotel, please inform Zed. She will help you guys arrange everything you need." Arlan checked the ti on his watch. It was already 11 a.m.
When Anaflor saw Arlan looking at his watch, she knew that he had sothing to do. "Don't worry about us, son. You should go and do what you need to do. We can take care of ourselves."
"Alright. Just give a call if sothing urgent cos up." Arlan left after bidding them farewell. He then called Zed and told her to call a doctor to check up on his father's health.
"You can rest assured, Mr. Roa. I'll take care of Sir and Madam."
"Thank you." Arlan disconnected the call and went to Krizia's office.
Knock! Knock!
Krizia opened the door for him. "Good morning, Mr. Roa." She greeted Arlan with a smile.
"Good morning. Have you seen Laurence and Morgan?" He asked.
"Mr. Finn and Mr. Stan already left Maharlika. They wanted to say goodbye to you, but you were still asleep. Do you want to send a ssage to them?"
"Is that so? There's no need. I'll ssage them myself. One more thing. I hope you can send so people to protect my parents." Arlan was worried that Leandro's n would find out about his parents so he had to make so arrangents for them.
"I'll take care of it, boss." Krizia nodded her head.
"Thank you. You should take care as well. Bring Jezzie and Danica with you all the ti. I know that they are professional bodyguards." Arlan muttered while waving his hands. I think you should take a look at
Krizia smiled and waved her hands at him. "You too, boss! Stay safe!"
There were no movents on Diego's side after three of his subordinates were killed. Khalon didn't spot anyone suspicious lurking around the building, making Arlan feel a bit relieved. Arlan took the opportunity to tell Karl everything he knew about Leandro and how he get mixed up with his drug cartel. The ex-soldier's expression turned solemn after he heard everything.
"Boss, what should we do with the information we got from those thugs?" Karl asked in a low voice. They learned from the three thugs that there would be a huge purchase of drugs between Diego and Senator Ramon.
Arlan revealed a pondering look at this question. He also thought hard about this last night. If he showed up at the eting spot between both parties, he could gather so evidence of Senator Ramon's involvent in the drug cartel. This would effectively end Ramon Arcenal's political career!
"We will go to their eting place ahead of schedule, but we should prepare so gear first. Those people are dangerous so we have to be well-equipped. You were a forr soldier, do you have a connection to anyone who sells military-grade bulletproof vests? We also need so bullets for the weapons we got from those thugs." Arlan didn't know anyone in the military so he could only ask for Karl's opinion on this matter.
Karl frowned when he heard this. "Boss, how about we give this information to the police or the army?"
Arlan shook his head. "We can't. Leandro and Senator Ramon both have connections in the police and the army. It would be unwise to inform either of them. We need to gather the evidence ourselves and once we got the evidence, I will send it to soone I know." Arlan thought about Fabian, the police captain who helped him and Sofia's family. He wondered if he could entrust the evidence to that guy.
Karl stared into Arlan's eyes as he nodded in agreent. He knew that not all officers in the police and the army are clean. There were people among them who were involved in illegal activities. "I have a friend in the firearms business. I believe he has the equipnt we need for the operation. I can arrange for a eting between you two."
"Good. Tell him to co and et tomorrow at 9 a.m. We can set the eting here in Pegasus Hotel." There were still two days before the exchange between Diego and Senator Ramon. It was enough ti for them to prepare.
"Yes, boss!"
"You can use the car." Arlan tossed the key to the Subaru Forester to Karl.
Karl thanked him before he left.
Arlan went back to his room and grabbed the Body Enhancing Serum he claid from the mysterious app. After a mont of hesitation, he injected the syringe into his arm.
A sharp pain traveled from his arm and it slowly spread throughout his body. "This... I feel hot!" He muttered as he quickly headed to the shower for a cold bath.
When Arlan saw his reflection in the mirror, he noticed that his skin had a reddish hue and his veins beca slightly visible as they protruded.
Soon, his vision blurred and he slowly lost consciousness.
