"What do you plan to do now?" Arlan asked in a low voice. Because of him, Charles was kicked out of the company. He felt that he had to do sothing for his friend.
"I don't know yet, but I should be able to quickly look for a job. After all, I have a lot of experience so there should be so companies who would accept ." Charles replied with a light smile.
Hearing this, Arlan furrowed his eyebrows. He knew that Charles was just saying this to make him feel relieved, but he was aware that it wasn't that easy to find a new job. Furthermore, Charles has a family to take care of and he even has a two-year-old daughter.
The two remained silent as they finished their lunch.
When they went out of the restaurant, Arlan suddenly said. "Charles, I know your situation very well. You can't fool . You were kicked out by the company because of ."
Hearing this, Charles stared at Arlan and patted his shoulder. "Stop thinking about that. Besides, it was because I failed to hold back my anger that I punched Jackson."
"Charles, please take this and call if you still haven't found a job." Arlan grabbed Charles' hand and gave him twenty thousand pesos.
Charles hurriedly shook him off when he saw the bills in Arlan's hand. "Take that back. I don't want your money." His voice was louder than usual this ti.
When he saw that his friend refused to take his money, he imdiately said. "Think about your family and your daughter! What if you can't find a job within a month? Can you bear to see them starving? Charles, there's no need to be polite between us! Just take it!"
Because of his forceful words, Charles hesitated for a mont. In truth, he really needed the money.
Seeing this, Arlan hurriedly shoved the money in his hands. "I still have so important things to do so I won't take you with . Just call if you need sothing. Rember to tell if you still haven't found a job." He quickly entered his car and drove off without waiting for Charles to reply.
"That kid..." Charles muttered with a helpless smile as he stared at the disappearing car.
anwhile, Arlan returned to his neighborhood. He parked the car on the open basketball court. The court was still wet and there were no players so he took the chance to park his car. He then went back to his apartnt and sorted out his things. Since he already has the mysterious app, why would he continue to stay in this poor neighborhood? Although the people here were friendly, he sotis couldn't bear the noise and the stench of the place.
After sorting out his things, Arlan looked for the owner of the apartnt.
"Aunty Helen, I'm planning to move out. I hope it's not too abrupt." Arlan said as he handed over the paynt for the month's rent.
The owner's dark expression blossod into a smile when she received the money. "Not at all! You can move out anyti. Just pack your stuff and I'll handle the cleaning." She laughingly said.
"Thanks, Aunty Helen." Arlan smiled and swiftly went back to his room to grab his stuff.
He already knew where he was going to stay for the ti being. He still has 1600 dollars. He planned to stay in a nice warm hotel. It was an impulsive move, but he truly wanted to experience what it felt like to stay in such a wonderful place.
Arlan placed his stuff inside the trunk of his car. He didn't have a lot of things so the trunk was still spacious even after he put everything inside.
He looked at the poor town and his neighbors for one last ti before entering his car.
Arlan drove into a hotel called City Park Hotel. It wasn't a high-end place, but it still looked fancy.I think you should take a look at
"Good afternoon, sir. Welco to City Park Hotel!" The receptionist smiled at Arlan as soon as she saw him.
"I'd like to book a room for a month." Arlan smiled at the receptionist. She was quite young, probably around twenty-four.
The receptionist smiled gently at Arlan. "Alright, sir. Can I have your na please?"
"Arlan. Arlan Dominic Roa."
"Thank you, Mr. Roa." The receptionist inputted his details on her pc. She then grabbed a key from the drawer under her computer and handed it to Arlan. "Mr. Roa, your room is Room number 25."
"Thanks." Arlan grabbed the key and searched for his room. Soon, he found the room and he excitedly unlocked the door.

Upon entering, he put down his stuff and jumped on the fluffy bed. He could sll the fragrant scent of the sheets and pillows. It made him want to sleep, but he fought his desire and sat down on the sofa which was located in the corner of the room.
He grabbed his phone and routinely searched for the mysterious app, but he still couldn't find it. It was only his second day of downloading the app, but he had already received a brand-new car and so cash. He was wondering what kind of rewards awaited him, but he was also worried that it would disappear.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
He looked at his phone and noticed that Charles was calling him. He answered the call and as soon as he put his phone on his ears, he heard Charles' grateful voice. "Thank you, Arlan! Don't worry, I'll pay you back after I find a new job."
Hearing this, Arlan smiled lightly. This guy was truly a proud man. He didn't want to owe favors to anyone, not even to his closest friend. "There's no need for thanks between us, buddy! If you don't have anything else to say, I'll hang up the call."
"Alright. Bye."
Arlan disconnected the call.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
When he heard the knocking on the door, he stood up and opened the door.
"Hello, Mr. Roa! Sorry for disturbing you. I ca here to deliver this to you." It was a server assistant who was pushing a small trolley.
"I didn't order any food. There must be a mistake." Arlan said.
"This is free of charge Mr. Roa. The receptionist asked to deliver this to you." The server replied patiently.
'It's her? Is she interested in ?' Arlan was confused, but he didn't reject the free food. He couldn't help but think about the beautiful receptionist.
