Chapter Twenty-Two: Mouse King

Bone Powder scattered, transforming into pieces of bone.

Small Knife’s gaze was fixed intently on the skeleton at the resurrection spot.

Under his perception, these bones started jumping and ford a bone beast with difficulty.

Beep: With your insight, you have gained more understanding and comprehension of Divine Techniques. Proficiency increased, Bone Hunting Revival Skill elevated from Beginner 46% to Minor Achievent 46%.

Note: Only innate Divine Techniques can potentially increase proficiency through comprehension; ordinary skills cannot be elevated through insight.

"I knew it! My Divine Techniques are not just for show," Small Knife muttered.

At this ti, other hunters within the circle made their move, and stone-tipped wooden spears shot out at supersonic speed.

When experts make a move, Small Knife’s eyes went wide; this level of mastery was astonishing, far beyond his capabilities.

Upon closer look, these individuals were all Elite Hunters, Level 20, top-tier hunters with great success in throwing.

Their target was Level 15 Steel-toothed Rats, so dodged, so were hit by spears, with a hit rate of about thirty percent.

Seeing their agile bodies, Small Knife knew his stone spear throws would definitely be evaded a hundred percent.

The Elite Hunters didn’t even glance as they threw their stone-tipped wooden spears, grabbing another one and throwing all out before gasping for breath.

By the ti the Level 15 Steel-toothed Rats reached the front, less than thirty percent remained, and most were injured.

At this ti, the Level 20 bone beasts pounced, blocking the Steel-toothed Rats.

The bone beasts fought fearlessly, ignoring ordinary Iron-toothed Rats, only attacking Steel-toothed Rats. Even when surrounded by Iron-toothed Rats, they eliminated all Steel-toothed Rats before suffering total losses.

"Impressive!" Small Knife marveled, although his Level 10 bone beast also charged forward and was quickly overwheld by the mouse swarm, it did earn so experience.

Then, a roar echoed, sounding more like a fierce beast’s howl than a mouse.

Iron-toothed Rats suddenly attacked more frenziedly, each fighting fearlessly.

The ground trembled slightly, the surface cracked, and a huge opening appeared within the hunters’ defense circle, unleashing a swarm of Level 15 Steel-toothed Rats.

Directly appearing inside the defense circle, causing hunters to rush about in panic and throwing the defense into chaos.

Clearly, in close combat, one-on-one, hunters were no match for Steel-toothed Rats.

With an angry shout, two Chiefs took action, leaping high into the Steel-toothed Rat swarm.

In mid-air, their bone knives emitted a blood-like glow, transforming to blood-red, as if suffused with fresh blood.

The Blood Knife swung out, creating a storm of blood light. Surrounding Level 15 Steel-toothed Rats imdiately broke apart into chunks, allowing the two Chiefs to eliminate all nearby Steel-toothed Rats with a single move.

"Amazing!" Small Knife was filled with fervor, eager to rush in and fight, indifferent to death.

Sadly, this ga was extraordinary; he could only restrain himself, scattering Bone Powder again.

This ti, the bones doubled, clearly reaching the level of Minor Achievent, enough to resurrect two Level 10 skeletons.

But these bones jumped and finally turned into a Level 10 bone beast.

This ti the bone beast was different: low and crawling, with thick bone structure, no sharp claws or neck, a large head with sharp bone spikes, and bone blades on its sides.

Under Small Knife’s command, the bone beast charged forward.

Its speed increased continuously.

It charged into the mouse swarm in one breath.

At this ti, being agile was useless; there were companions everywhere.

Suddenly, it crashed through like a tank, creating a path.

Beep: Killed Iron-toothed Rat, gained experience: 1.

Beep: Killed Iron-toothed Rat, gained experience: 1.

Beep: Killed Iron-toothed Rat, gained experience: 1.

...!

When the bone beast finally halted, more than half of the tough bone spikes had broken, with the remaining covered in struggling Iron-toothed Rats not yet dead.

Then, the bone beast was torn apart, as the Iron-toothed Rats bit into its bones as easily as biting cookies.

Nonetheless, the bone beast inflicted enough damage, dying with honor.

Ha-ha!

Small Knife shook his dizzy head, excitedly scattering Bone Powder again.

Over there, the massive underground cave constantly spewed out Level 15 Steel-toothed Rats, but were chopped down by the Tribe Chiefs, swinging blood-colored bone knives like chopping vegetables, killing most.

The remaining were stabilized under other hunters’ full efforts.

With a stable kill rate, to achieve victory by quantity, continuing this, how many Level 15 Steel-toothed Rats could there be?

Just as Small Knife had this thought, the cave unexpectedly stopped spewing Level 15 Steel-toothed Rats.

But only paused for a few seconds.

A large figure erged from the underground.

Good heavens, is this a rat?

It was larger than an elephant, much larger than any small elephant Small Knife had seen at the zoo.

Quickly took a look.

Mouse King (in Bloodthirsty Madness): ???

Skills: ???

Nothing else could be seen.

"Finally appeared, this mouse swarm should end now!" The Witch stood up under the tree.

The two Chiefs reacted even faster, swinging their Blood Knives, creating dozens of blood lights, falling like petals onto the Mouse King, slashing open wounds and causing blood to gush out.

The Mouse King let out a sharp scream.

Small Knife wobbled, feeling dizzy and unable to stand, falling directly to the ground.

Beep: You have been struck by the Mouse King’s skill, Soul-Rending Roar.

Small Knife steadied himself on the seemingly shaking ground, barely managing to stand and looked over.

For the first ti, he saw NPCs suffering, massively, with dozens caught and torn by bites.

Clearly, those closer suffered more severe effects from the Soul-Rending Roar.

Even one of the Chiefs was grabbed by the Mouse King.

Accompanied by bone knife shards flying, that Chief flew out, with his health bar dropping significantly.

The Witch was enraged, seemingly affected too, but at this mont, many patterns erged on his body, exuding a black mist from his skin, forming a huge, terrifying skull shape that swiftly rushed toward the Mouse King.

It instantly rged into the Mouse King’s body.

The Mouse King shivered.

After the Witch’s attack, he didn’t stop, pointed his short staff forward, and hundreds of human-headed fruits from the towering Human Head Willow Tree behind him suddenly detached, directly pouncing forward.

Just as the Mouse King trembled from the black mist skull rger, these skulls imdiately followed, biting into the Mouse King’s body densely.

Unexpectedly, holding on like dogs, refusing to let go.

The Mouse King trembled, its pores releasing threads of black gas, seemingly immobilized, but its massive body visibly withering away.

Small Knife and other players, including Slutty Mouth, saw the Mouse King’s health bar rapidly decline.

In just a few seconds, a third was gone.
