A volley of lightning radiating waves of green, blue, and purple.
They filled up the cavernous space as one, they proceeded to give a very clear answer as to who had thrown that massive bolt of lightning that smashed Amos back.
Two, such a volley caused their expressions to turn heavy and somber as in Amos' eyes, a mory flashed.
Two weeks ago, they had carefully delved into a Single Number Entrance before they faced a Lesser ridian Transformation Evolutius Beast.
A single one needed an entire team to take down as their capabilities were heavy, and almost all of them held elental aspects.
Amos rembered that even when he faced Lesser ridian Transformation Evolutius Beasts, their barrage of elental attacks…did not seem as heavy as what was currently being thrown at them!
His eyes turned extrely somber as his hand vibrated like an engine, tendrils of blue lightning erupting from him as he moved behind Beatrice who was encased in an earthen wall.
Layers and layers of lightning ca to cover him as he could only do this much before…
BOOM! BOOM!
The multiple bolts of different colored lightning arrived.
And they ca with utter devastation.
So distance away from this point of explosion.
Towards the direction of Catacomb Entrance #11.
The figures of Major David and a dark-clothed woman radiating waves of frost had caught up to the 5 Upper Tier Body Modification Advanced Humans from the Lightning Hand Strike Team.
Major David knew their purpose here as after catching up with them, his crimson ridian flashed with a terrifying glint as he spoke towards them commandingly.
"Head back out. We will be bringing Amos and the others back soon from this foolish endeavor."
His words were like orders as with his power and position as a Major in the Colony City of Neon, he was akin to a rule of law that Advanced Humans had to obey.
And so they looked at each other as they weighed the pros and cons of leaving Amos behind until they ultimately sighed and turned around to head back.
It was around this ti that…
BOOM!
Heavy explosions that even shook the Catacomb walls this far out resounded.
Major David's eyes flashed toward the party of 5 that had montarily stopped…
"I said turn back!"

Waves of heat arose from his roar as the Upper Tier Body Modification Advanced Humans listened and ran out.
His expression was heavy as he turned towards the young woman he was tasked with training for a great purpose.
"Stay close, and do what I do. We will likely need to incapacitate anyone who does not listen- if it cos to it, you can break the limbs or freeze them in your case. But…no killing. Understood?"
He was already charging ahead as he spoke, and the woman shrouded in a dark garnt nodded as she followed close behind.
Both of their ridians flashed powerfully as they surged ahead, taking less than 30 seconds at full speed to arrive at a widening cavernous space that showed…crackling and decimated walls of the Catacombs.
A scene of devastation!
Major David saw dust and arcs of lightning still crackling in this area as his gaze changed, his arms moving forward as he smashed his hands in a clapping motion to cause a huge gust of heated wind to clear up the space.
And he saw…a scene that caused him to do a double take.
The figure of Amos could be seen with his left arm missing, his body riddled with dark green crackling lightning that seed to be causing spasms all over his body.
Not too far from him, the heaving body of a slightly wide woman trembled on the Catacombs floor, while another body with a red mohawk…had half of its face lted from crackling poisonous lightning!
…!
Dead!
The crimson ridian on his hand slowly dimd as his eyes still showed imnse shock and surprise.
It was a scene of true devastation as even Major David couldn't fathom how it ca to be.
But before he could even look around any further, his eyes were drawn back towards Amos.
With only his right arm remaining, his eyes held waves of rage as his hand currently grasped a…black crystalline flower.
A simple black flower.
And yet when Major David saw it, his expression deteriorated as even he beca enraged, and he shouted out towards Amos!
"Don't do it!"
A heavy roar.
At the sa ti, he roared out, Major David did not notice that there were a dozen vines that had already approached Amos and were about to strike out.
His roar caused these vines to halt montarily.
And in that halt…
CRACK!
The crystalline black flower in Amos' hand was crushed, a blinding obsidian light flashing and illuminating all of the walls of the Catacombs nearby!
Major David beca ashen at this scene as he charged towards Amos angrily!
"You fool! Why do that?! Why do you have a Devil Crystal, and why would you break it here?!"
A Devil Crystal.
Sothing only a select number of Advanced Humans who had access to restricted information knew about.
It was sothing that naturally ca out of the Catacombs.
A deadly item that even the most powerful ridian Transformation entities treated with care.
And yet, Amos had it.
And he actually broke it!
BZZT!
Major David's body hit the air as Amos was carried by a current of lightning off to the side.
He looked towards Major David and the woman who carefully walked towards them, and his enraged yet calm gaze then turned towards the distant Rose and Achilles in the distance as his voice echoed out.
"I...actually made a grievous miscalculation on the power of newly awakened Unique Advanced Humans. It has cost
an arm and nearly my life, so I am naturally enraged. Goodness...am I fucking enraged!"
As he spoke, their surroundings began to tremble as behind Major David and the Unique Elental Advanced Human, Eloise, the path leading out of the Catacombs collapsed.
The expression on Amos distorted as he continued while looking at Rose and Achilles.
"But...a man must know when to cut his losses. Since I do not know much about those I was hunting, I would rather keep my life first. Since I cannot have that ridiculously gorgeous woman there, it is also best that she be buried here, along with the one that threatened my life!"
