Ning Yichen took a deep breath and suddenly sneered, "I’m your sponsor, since when do you get to unilaterally declare it over?"
Lu Qixi smiled faintly, "Does Young Master Ning intend to force his way? Yes, I’m unilaterally declaring it over. If you’re angry, just go ahead and blacklist ."
Ning Yichen’s gaze darkened, his heart swirled with emotions, yet he couldn’t make sense of any of it.
"Or, you could accept my confession and we can start a relationship with marriage as the goal," Lu Qixi said softly. "If that were the case, I wouldn’t move out."
As she spoke, she couldn’t help but clench her hands.
But all she got in response was a long silence.
Ning Yichen furrowed his brows, his lips moved several tis, but he couldn’t say anything.
Up until now, the only person he had genuinely liked was Su Zixi. As for Lu Qixi... he did have a fondness for her, sotis even infatuated with her mannerisms and voice, but when she laid the issue clearly in front of him, asking for a commitnt, Ning Yichen realized he couldn’t give a definite answer.
Lu Qixi laughed at herself, "I already understand your attitude, this outco isn’t surprising. I sincerely wish you find your true love soon. Although our first eting wasn’t pleasant, I’ve never regretted taking you ho that rainy night."
"Qixi," he called her na, his voice hoarse, "do you really need an answer right now?"
"Yes, because I’ve already waited for four years," Lu Qixi smiled. "If four years aren’t enough for you to clarify your feelings for , then you’ll probably never fall for . I’ve given up and don’t want to wait anymore."
After saying that, she decisively opened the car door and got out.
Just before closing the door, she suddenly rembered sothing, tilted her head, and smiled at him in the driver’s seat, "Forgot to tell you, your skills have improved a lot... much better than before."
With that, she decisively closed the car door, put on her sunglasses, and hailed a taxi.
The car carrying her quickly sped away into the distance.
Ning Yichen’s ears still echoed with Lu Qixi’s last words, igniting a fire in his heart.

He pounded the steering wheel in frustration.

For three days, a full three days, Su Zixi had been keeping an eye on next door.
She noticed that Xiaozhou hadn’t left his place in those three days, not even ordering takeout once. He was likely living off instant noodles.
Knowing that Xiaozhou had been set up by He Jingyao, she felt both worried and guilty.
On the third evening, she walked to the balcony, trying to catch a glimpse of next door, but the balcony door was tightly locked, and she couldn’t see anything.
She furrowed her brow slightly, contemplating whether to check on him, when suddenly she backed into a solid chest.
"What are you looking at?" His voice held a faint displeasure.
"Xiaozhou won’t be in trouble, will he..." Su Zixi spoke worriedly. "He has high standards; he promised to finish in three days, so he surely doesn’t want you to look down on him. I’m afraid he won’t eat or sleep to get it done today, and he’ll wear himself out."
He Jingyao grasped her hands and placed them on her rounded belly, giving a cold snort, "Are you very concerned about him?"
"Even if I care about him, it’s because of you," Su Zixi said righteously.
