“He Jingyao!” Zhuo Han’s expression changed slightly as he looked at the man who had suddenly appeared.

But Zhixi was unwilling to leave, shaking her head, “No, I’ll just stay right here.”
He Jingyao curved the corner of his lips but didn’t refuse.
He turned to face Zhuo Han, looking at his unsightly complexion, and began speaking with a low chuckle, “Mr. Zhuo, to put your mind at ease, I must tell you that Miss Leslie will marry sooner or later, no matter what happens.”
Zhixi felt a surge of emotion and couldn’t help but look up at him.
Only then did she notice that the man’s complexion was unusually pale, making his brows and eyes appear even darker and more austere.

“Mr. Zhuo jests; I’ve always respected the President, so how can you speak of arrogance?” the man replied with a modest smile, “It’s rather that the President seems to have so misunderstandings about , which saddens deeply.”
Zhuo Han sneered, “Do you think your actions behind the scenes are unknown to my uncle?”
“I’m rely a respectable businessman and have never violated the law—where are these so-called actions behind the scenes?” He Jingyao raised an eyebrow.

“Please convey to the President that my pursuit of Miss Leslie is solely because I am fond of her and not because I covet her status or wealth,” He Jingyao said indifferently, “Of course, I am aware that the President will not believe this. “He Jingyao, if my uncle is re-elected, you and the He Family are finished!” Zhuo Han said with a sinister smile.

Having Zhuo Han saying such things in front of him was like forcing him to find a way to bring Zhuo Yuwei down. With such intelligence… He Jingyao silently clicked his tongue in his mind.
Zhuo Han glanced at him hatefully, pulled open the car door, and got into the vehicle furiously before driving away.
He Jingyao’s gaze was still pitch-black, inscrutable.
It wasn’t until the silhouette of the Lamborghini had completely disappeared that He Jingyao chuckled again, drawing Zhixi back into his embrace, kissing her forehead, “It’s all right now; I won’t leave your side for a single step after this.”
Zhixi hugged his burning body, filled with concern, “Jingyao, what’s wrong with you? Why is your body so hot?”
“Hmm…” He responded in a low voice, then suddenly swayed as though he could collapse at any mont.
Uncle Li had just co out and, seeing this scene, was terrified out of his wits.
“Jingyao!”
“Young Master!”
Zhixi turned pale with fright, but luckily Uncle Li quickly stepped forward to support most of He Jingyao’s weight.
“I’m fine…” he reassured her with a glance, then closed his eyes as if he had used up all his strength.
