Zhixi felt dizzy and decisively looked away, refusing to give him the chance to bewitch her with his good looks.
She raised her chin slightly and said with a delicate voice, “Dad, Yichen and I are here.”
Gu Bingjun was in the midst of a spirited conversation; he looked up at the sound of her voice and quickly called out, “At last you’ve arrived, sit down, He Jingyao and I have been waiting for quite a while.”
“It’s no trouble, I’m pleased that Miss Gu could grace us with her presence,” He Jingyao said, casting a glance at her with a faintly mocking smile in his eyes.
Zhixi snorted haughtily and glanced at the chair.
He Jingyao raised his eyebrows in surprise, not imdiately grasping her aning.
It was Ning Yichen who quickly caught on, giving a resigned laugh as he pulled out a chair for her, “Please have a seat, Miss Gu.”
Only then did Zhixi sit down with restraint, refusing to look at a certain soone throughout.
He Jingyao’s gaze deepened slightly, the corners of his lips curving in amusent.
“Mr. Ning, please take a seat as well,” he said indifferently, passing the nu to him, “I’ve ordered so signature dishes, take a look to see if there’s anything else you would like to have.”
Zhixi was imdiately displeased, “Why didn’t you ask what I wanted to eat? Aren’t you hosting this al for ?”

Both Gu Bingjun and Ning Yichen looked at her in surprise.

Zhixi slowly opened the nu with an air of disdain throughout.
“What have you already ordered?” she asked languidly.
The waiter beside them promptly reported the dish nas in a low voice.
Zhixi frowned, greatly dissatisfied, “Is this what people eat? Replace it all! I don’t eat seafood, pork, or lamb, beef is barely acceptable… and for seasoning, no mustard, soy sauce, pepper powder, and oh, no dairy either, not even a little bit!”
After finishing her decree, she handed the nu back to He Jingyao, revealing a defiant smile, “Mr. He, please order again.”
The table fell silent.
All three n looked at her as if they didn’t know her, particularly Gu Bingjun who was clearly displeased, “What’s gotten into you, girl!”
“Dad, as the host, shouldn’t Mr. He know his guests’ preferences?” Zhixi flipped her hair with a flirtatious smile towards the man across from her, “What do you say, Mr. He?”
He Jingyao, gazing at her flirtatious face, involuntarily swallowed and his eyes deepened a shade.
His voice lowered, “Miss Gu is correct.”
After he spoke, he reported a string of dish nas to the waiter, indeed deftly avoiding all the items Zhixi had vetoed.
“Is Miss Gu satisfied?” he asked with a smile.
Zhixi nodded reluctantly, “It’s passable. I thought Mr. He might surprise a bit, but it seems that’s all there is to it.”
