“Do you know?” He suddenly chuckled hoarsely, looking into her eyes, “While my wife was alive, I never said the word ‘love’ to her.”

“I always thought,” his voice was deep and solemn, “the word was too frivolous. And besides, I didn’t know if I was strong enough to bear the weight of that word.”
Zhixi opened her mouth to speak, but then she rembered that she was now Miss Gu, not Su Zixi.
“Only after she passed did I understand what ‘engraved in one’s heart’ truly ant.” He clasped her hands, his raspy laugh echoing, “She always told she couldn’t imagine a day without being by my side. Yet, it turns out, neither could I.”
Gu Zhixi shuddered, gazing at him in shock.
“But she left without hesitation, leaving all alone, thinking she was doing it for , yet she never considered what I truly needed.” The man laughed, his forehead against hers, “Do you think I should praise her selflessness, or condemn her selfishness?”

“Who made you dress so seductively,” he said low, his scorching body pressing tightly against hers.
“…Your wardrobe has only shirts!” Gu Zhixi was both embarrassed and angry. If she had found her trousers, she would have put them on; she wouldn’t have co out like this.
“Heh…” He leaned down and captured her earlobe with his mouth, “All excuses.”
Her face flushed red: “…Are you serious?”
“Hmm?”
“…Do it one more ti, and you’ll let go?” Her voice still trembled, as if just uttering those words caused her imnse sha.
The man seed to ponder for a mont: “Three tis.”
“No! Two tis at most!” She imdiately cast aside her sense of sha, glaring at him through gritted teeth.
