"Sleep, I won’t bother you anymore," he chuckled hoarsely, tidying up her disheveled nightgown before turning over to stand up and head to the bathroom.
Su Zixi took a long ti to react.
Had this man let her off the hook again?
Beyond surprise, Su Zixi felt an unsettling unease at the bottom of her heart. She wanted to ask him, but fatigue soon overca her, and she fell asleep once more.
When she awoke, He Jingyao was no longer by her side. Su Zixi blinked bewilderedly and then suddenly leaped out of bed, rushing downstairs.
"Where’s Jingyao!" She stopped in front of Butler Lee, panting as she asked.
Butler Lee was slightly surprised by her disheveled state: "The young master has already gone to the company."
"He won’t be back for lunch, will he?" Su Zixi pursed her lips.
"That’s right," Butler Lee replied, nodding his head without understanding why.
"Then he’ll probably be back late tonight as well..." Su Zixi murmured to herself.
"Young Mistress, what’s wrong?" Butler Lee asked, concerned.
Su Zixi was silent for a mont before suddenly shaking her head: "I’m fine."
With that, she turned and walked towards her room.
He Jingyao was restraining himself and even intentionally avoiding her.
But why...
Su Zixi pressed her lips together forcefully.

HI Group’s branch in Yangdong City was located in the city center, surrounded by tall buildings.
In the office, He Jingyao stood by the window, looking at the bustling traffic below, and heaved a deep sigh.
He loosened his tie with a hint of agitation and his thin lips ford a tight line.
Soon after, Adam approached with a stack of docunts: "Sir, these are from this morning..."
"Just put them there," He Jingyao ordered coldly, his tone tinged with impatience.
Adam was slightly taken aback but said nothing more, and placed the docunts on his desk before tentatively speaking up: "You have several appointnts this afternoon, do you want to..."
"Then tell this afternoon!" He Jingyao interrupted him abruptly, but right after he spoke, he rubbed his brow remorsefully and softened his tone, "It’s fine, you can go out."
Adam left silently.
He Jingyao took several deep breaths, but it was ineffective.
He had been enveloped in restlessness since yesterday afternoon, and by this morning he had already reprimanded nurous executives and assistants.
He Jingyao knew where his antidote was.
Yet, he was also acutely aware that it was not normal. So he could only restrain himself, pushing his limits.
If Su Zixi were by his side right now, he feared his self-control would instantly collapse.
At this thought, He Jingyao let out a self-deprecating laugh, walked over to his desk, and started flipping through the docunts.
However, it wasn’t long before Adam entered once again.
He looked up displeased: "What is it now?"
"Sir." Adam seed slightly intimidated by his gaze, swallowing before he said, "Miss Ye Shutong is here to visit. She says she has sothing very important to tell you."
"Tell her to get lost!" He Jingyao said coldly.
"She says it’s about the Young Mistress..." Adam struggled to get the words out.
He Jingyao’s eyes darkened, and after a long while, he scoffed: "Is that so."
"Yes."
A crisp female voice suddenly rang out, followed by the tap-tap of high heels on the floor as Ye Shutong walked in.
A faint smile played on her face, and she carried a docunt in her arms.
