Yan Lingfeng’s expression was deeply conflicted. He picked up the cup of milk tea, drank it down in one go, and although reluctant, under Yun Xuefei’s cool gaze, he had no choice but to stand up and take his leave.
Even though anxiety was nearly burning him up inside, he had to endure.
The plan hadn’t gone as smoothly as he had thought, but it didn’t matter, he still had chances.
He let out a deep breath.
Yan Lingfeng walked to his car, about to pull open the door when suddenly, a light chuckle ca from the side.
He abruptly turned to look and found Huo Yanzhao standing nearby; it turned out Huo had been sitting in his car the whole ti, and hadn’t left.
“You…” Yan Lingfeng’s complexion changed.
“It seems I wasn’t wrong, Xuefei was never planning to trouble you,” Huo Yanzhao said with a relieved smile.
“What do you know?” Yan Lingfeng scoffed coldly.
“I at least understand her.” Huo Yanzhao’s smile carried a hint of compassion. “Yan Lingfeng, have you forgotten that I was with her for five whole years? Five years, enough for us to understand each other completely, enough to develop a full understanding. You’ve been fixated on her, yet, until now, you don’t understand her at all.”
Yan Lingfeng clenched the car keys in his hand involuntarily.
“Perhaps she and I ultimately cannot get back together,” Huo Yanzhao enunciated slowly, “but you stand even less of a chance with her. She wouldn’t even give you the slightest opportunity.”
“Shut up!” Yan Lingfeng snorted coldly, “At least I wouldn’t betray her!”
Huo Yanzhao’s breath hitched for a mont.
After a while, he let out a slow breath, saying coldly, “Stop trying to stir trouble between her and ; it’s utterly aningless for you to do so!”
Yan Lingfeng sneered, “Who says it’s aningless? At least, you two are divorced.”
“Is that your admission?” Huo Yanzhao narrowed his eyes.
“Admitting what? I’m rely stating a fact,” Yan Lingfeng snorted lightly and pulled open the car door.
Huo Yanzhao watched his car drive away, kicking up dust, his eyes roiling with dark waves.
After a while, he directed his gaze towards the end of the road.
A white car drove up and stopped at the gate of the villa.
Only then did Huo Yanzhao slowly smile, settling back into his car and driving away.

Yun Shenhan hurried out of his car and didn’t notice a vehicle leaving from across the street.
He strode into the living room, not even taking the ti to greet the approaching Mrs. Wu, and hastily sat down opposite Yun Xuefei, “Xuefei, are you pregnant?”
Yun Xuefei, taken aback by the sight of her brother charging in, blurted out in response to his question, “How did you know?”
“So, it’s true?” Yun Shenhan’s face darkened.
Only then did Yun Xuefei realize she had slipped up; her family knew about her divorce from Huo Yanzhao, but she hadn’t told anyone about her pregnancy yet.
“Was it that scum Huo Yanzhao?” Yun Shenhan asked through gritted teeth.
Yun Xuefei felt sowhat helpless, “Brother… just because he and I divorced doesn’t an he’s scum…”
“Stop making excuses for him; he confessed everything to !” Yun Shenhan fud with anger.
He had been good friends with Huo Yanzhao for years, and right after the divorce, Huo sought him out to apologize. Overco with rage, Yun had given Huo a savage beating.
