At ten in the morning, Huo Yanzhao showed up on ti at the villa in Shanglin Bay.
When Mrs. Wu opened the door and saw him, her face lit up with surprise, “Sir, you’ve co. The young lady is still sleeping.”
Huo Yanzhao’s expression softened, “I’ll go up and check on her.”
Mrs. Wu hesitated for a mont, unsure whether to stop him, but while indecisively waiting, Huo Yanzhao had already crossed the living room and was heading upstairs.
Mrs. Wu could only sigh.

Huo Yanzhao went upstairs, pushed open the bedroom door, and walked in, indeed seeing the beautifully curved bulge on the bed.

Since learning of her pregnancy, Xuefei’s eyes had regained their sparkle, the baby’s arrival endowing her with unmatched vitality.
Thus, her complexion was no longer pale, and her smile no longer forced.
Huo Yanzhao grasped her left hand placed by the pillow, the warm and soft touch stirred his heart.
Unable to resist, he leaned down to try and kiss her cheek, but Yun Xuefei opened her eyes at that mont.
Her eyes still held a bit of the daze from just waking up, but Huo Yanzhao had to pause his motion.
“You’re awake.” His voice was hoarse and self-mocking.
Yun Xuefei’s gaze gradually cleared, and then, she seed to realize what Huo Yanzhao had just attempted to do.
“How did you get in?” she sat up, her expression slightly cold, “I rember I changed the lock.”
Huo Yanzhao gave a bitter smile, “Of course, Mrs. Wu let in.”
Yun Xuefei paused, “The door of the room wasn’t locked?”
“That’s right.” Huo Yanzhao smiled, involuntarily pinched her earlobe, “See, you forgot again.”
Yun Xuefei seed to have been burnt and instinctively dodged his fingers.
Imdiately, Huo Yanzhao’s hand stiffened.
When she lived alone before, she would always forget to lock the bedroom door. Huo Yanzhao reminded her many tis, but she still wouldn’t rember, so later, whenever she forgot, he would pinch her ear, subtly punishing her.
But now, for them, this gesture was awkward and inappropriate.
