She had thought that He Bing was sent to intimidate her.

The assistant of He Yirong hadn’t seen her, thus unaware of her identity, but Ms. Ye, Su Zixi was sure she knew exactly who she was.
“Excuse ,” Su Zixi said with a radiant smile, saved the docunt, shut down the computer, and then walked towards Adam.
“Young Mistress, the sir is waiting for you in the office,” Adam said respectfully, “after you.”
Su Zixi nodded and left the office first.
Adam breathed a sigh of relief, stepped over to Ye Shutong, nodded at her, “Miss Ye.”
Then he turned his gaze toward He Bing, smiling broadly, “Assistant He, may I ask, what exactly happened just now?”
He Bing looked extrely uncomfortable, he opened his mouth, trying to explain, but the normally eloquent he couldn’t utter a single word.
Although he was the assistant of He Yirong, the young master had no authority to fire him, but He Bing could see that Director He was gradually contemplating retirent; the future of HI Group was to be decided by the young master. If he aspired to be part of the managent and offended the young master, all his hopes would be dashed!
Seeing that He Bing remained silent, Adam looked towards Ye Shutong with a smile, “Miss Ye, perhaps you could tell us?”
Ye Shutong gave him a lazy look, “Do I need to tell you?”
After speaking, she turned to walk past Adam.
But Adam reached out to stop her, his tone firm, “Miss Ye, though you are a valued guest of Director He, if you don’t clarify, I will not let you leave.”
Ye Shutong laughed angrily, her tone becoming gentle, “You are interrogating .”
“I’m sorry,” said Adam, unmoved.
Ye Shutong took a deep breath and said expressionlessly, “I was very interested in the Young Mistress’s work, so I asked her a few questions. Is there a problem?”
Adam raised an eyebrow and gestured, “I see, Miss Ye, please.”
Ye Shutong sneered, then turned and left the office.
She knew Adam was He Jingyao’s assistant, so did his attitude reflect He Jingyao’s attitude towards her?
Thinking this made Ye Shutong’s eyes darken.
He Bing sighed with a bitter smile and followed Ye Shutong’s steps.
Once they had left, Adam approached the employees in the office to thoroughly inquire about what had just occurred.
