Chapter 311: Chapter 311: I’m Relieved If You’re Doing Well (1) Chapter 311: Chapter 311: I’m Relieved If You’re Doing Well (1) I don’t know how much ti had passed when Yun Xuefei’s assistant ca to her side and said softly, “Miss Yun, soone is looking for you outside.”
While speaking, she handed over a business card.
Yun Xuefei looked at the na on the card and paused for a mont.
Seeing this, Su Zixi imdiately said, “Don’t worry about , I’ll just keep trying on clothes here!”
Yun Xuefei smiled, “Alright, I’ll just take a look and be right back.”
After finishing, she looked toward her assistant, “Please ask him to wait in the tea room.”
“Okay.” The assistant acknowledged and left.
Yun Xuefei’s gaze returned to the business card, her lips pressed tightly. It took her a while to head to the tea room.
…
The style of the tea room was quaint. After she pushed open the door and entered, she saw a man sitting inside with a broad back.
Perhaps hearing the movent, he stood up, turned around, and looked at her with a slight smile, “Xuefei, it really is you.”
The man’s features were handso, and he had an air of easygoing charm when he smiled. His narrow eyes concealed too many emotions, making him seem profoundly inscrutable.
Yun Xuefei blinked and walked over to sit opposite him, “It’s been a long ti, Lingfeng.”
Yan Lingfeng laughed, “Yes, it has. It’s been five years since we broke up, hasn’t it?”
“Approximately.” Yun Xuefei spoke indifferently, pouring a cup of tea for him, “When did you co back?”
“Just these past few days.” Yan Lingfeng took a sip from the cup and savored it, “Your skills have improved.”
Yun Xuefei pressed her lips together before speaking, “What made you think of looking for ? Is there anything I can do for you?”
“Can’t I co see you without a reason?” Yan Lingfeng shrugged, “The old man at ho urged to return. I haven’t even figured out the family situation yet. I ran into Old Xiao the other day who told you’ve opened a studio here, so I ca to see you since I had free ti. Did I disturb you?”
“It’s not a disturbance.” Yun Xuefei’s smile remained calm, and seeing his cup was empty, she added so more tea for him.
Yan Lingfeng held his cup, observing her with a deep gaze, “Xuefei, you seem to have not changed much over the years, still so beautiful.”
“Thanks to you,” Yun Xuefei avoided his gaze, her tone still indifferent.
In the face of her ex-boyfriend, she felt that maintaining this attitude was polite enough.
She and Yan Lingfeng were together when she was a freshman. Later, Yan Lingfeng was sent abroad by his family, and their relationship ended. All in all, from eting to breaking up, it was only a half a year’s ti.
Over the years, Yun Xuefei rarely thought of him, yet she hadn’t expected to run into her ex-boyfriend the day after she and Yanzhao had just signed the divorce papers… Life was indeed full of irony.
Yan Lingfeng chuckled bitterly, putting down his cup, “Xuefei, I’m back in the country now and probably won’t go abroad again.”
“Mm.” Yun Xuefei responded noncommittally.
“I heard from Old Xiao that you got married at the beginning of the year.” Yan Lingfeng’s voice was sowhat hoarse, “I missed it… so I thought about giving you a belated wedding gift.”
“There’s no need.” Yun Xuefei interrupted him without hesitation.
Yan Lingfeng had no choice but to stop, his eyes falling on her right hand, “Why aren’t you wearing your wedding ring?”
“What does it have to do with you?” Yun Xuefei lost her patience and snapped back unceremoniously, “If you have nothing else, please leave. I still have guests to attend to.”
