Xia Xinyu was visibly anxious, taking out her gun one mont and putting it away the next.
Her state was clearly abnormal.
Seeing this, Scarface couldn’t help feeling uneasy.

Xia Xinyu frowned.
Scarface, understanding the situation, didn’t urge her further and walked towards the door with his gun at the ready.
As he pushed open the door and slipped inside, he thought he saw a figure from the corner of his eye.
A bad premonition suddenly ca over him, and he gripped the gun tight, but it was too late. A hand moved faster than his to grasp the barrel of the gun and yanked it upward fiercely!
Scarface was still struggling to wrestle the gun back when a sharp pain struck his neck, and then, he passed out.
He Jingyao caught his body and gently laid him on the ground, all with just the sound of a heavy thud; Scarface had no chance to even cry out for help.
The door closed silently, and no one outside noticed anything amiss.
Hidden in the corner, Su Zixi let out a long breath, her forehead covered in cold sweat.
Just monts earlier, He Jingyao had suddenly said to her, “Have you noticed? This room has no windows.”
Su Zixi nodded.
“So,” the man said with a slight smile, “the only way for people outside to co in is through the front door. And they always have to check on us.”
Su Zixi still didn’t understand.
But she quickly learned what He Jingyao was planning.
Because he took off his jacket and stood quietly by the door, waiting silently.
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before soone entered.
At the sound of the creaking door, Su Zixi’s breath almost stopped, and then she saw He Jingyao grasp the intruder’s gun with one hand and strike his neck fiercely with the other, silently knocking the man out.
The whole process might have lasted only two seconds.
Su Zixi was so amazed that she was speechless, holding He Jingyao’s jacket in her hands. She walked over and whispered, “Will he wake up?”
“Even if he does, it’s not a problem.” As he spoke, he picked up Scarface’s gun and checked it over, “Tsk, they actually have bullets. Seems these people are not without connections.”
Swallowing hard, Su Zixi stuttered, “Jingyao… have you, have you learned… ”
“Oh, a bit of Martial Arts,” he said, smiling at her slightly, “Nothing worth ntioning.”
