Chapter 131: Chapter 131 Don’t Go
“Ah!” Su Zixi couldn’t hold back anymore and scread loudly!
Clear and rapid footsteps approached from a distance, followed by her hearing He Jingyao’s deep voice tinged with concern, “Zhixi, what’s wrong?”
Hearing his voice, Su Zixi felt her initially panicked emotions subside slightly, and she called out, “I’m fine…”
“Don’t be afraid, I’m coming in,” said He Jingyao soothingly.
His gentle and deep voice seed to have a strange power that suddenly cald Su Zixi down. She took a deep breath, tried the bathroom door again, and with a click, the bathroom door successfully opened!
Overjoyed, Su Zixi hurried out of the narrow bathroom, as if a ghastly specter was chasing her from behind!
But it was still pitch black outside, and she ran so hastily that she didn’t see what she hit and toppled forward violently!
Su Zixi was so frightened that she couldn’t even shout, only waiting in terror for the pain to co… but instead, a pair of strong arms tily caught her.
“Zhixi, it’s ,” He Jingyao’s voice gently sounded by her ear.
Su Zixi’s heart relaxed, and for the first ti, she actively reached out her arms to hug him tightly. The man’s familiar scent made her feel incredibly safe, as if nothing could co close to her as long as he was by her side!
In the darkness, He Jingyao held the trembling figure in his arms, a slight smile forming on his lips.
“You scared to death!” she blurted out, her nerves settling down as she buried her head in his chest, her voice tinged with slight annoyance, “Why did the power go out all of a sudden?”
“Soone’s already checking on it,” He Jingyao chuckled softly, his warm palm moving from her back down to her waist, “Were you… taking a shower just now?”
“Hmm… I hadn’t even rinsed out my hair properly…” she complained softly.
If there hadn’t been a blackout, Su Zixi would have definitely seen the sparkle in soone’s eyes.
He Jingyao humd a low response, then suddenly swept her off her feet and accurately placed her on the bed.
Only then did Su Zixi belatedly rember sothing, “…How did you get in?”
He Jingyao sat down beside her, still holding her in an embrace, his voice casual and lazy, “This is my house, why would you think I don’t have a key?”
Su Zixi blushed. In that case, wasn’t her practice of quickly locking her room door every ti she returned redundant? After all, he could co in whenever he wished if he wanted to.
But in actuality, he had never done so.

Su Zixi said with embarrassnt, “I see… I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have doubted you.”
He Jingyao let out a low chuckle, “Oh? What did you suspect of?”
“…” Su Zixi clamped her mouth shut, how could she possibly voice such thoughts?
“It seems you think I have dishonorable intentions…” The man seed to understand, his tone with a hint of lancholy.
Su Zixi’s face turned red with restraint. How could he speak in such a tone? Wasn’t he always having dishonorable intentions towards her?
“Since you don’t trust ,” He Jingyao paused, then spoke with resignation, “then I should leave. Staying here, aren’t you afraid of what I might do to you?”
With those words, he let go of her, intending to get up.
Su Zixi’s eyes widened in alarm, and she abruptly clung to his waist, “Don’t go!”
