Chapter 107: Chapter 107 Don’t Make Wait Too Long
He Jingyao looked at her flushed cheeks, his throat tightened.
This woman had clearly been moved, but he didn’t know how long he would have to wait for the day she willingly gave her heart to him.
It was a long and sweet tornt.
He Jingyao took a deep breath and finally decided to let her go for now.
With Su Zixi’s increasingly cautious eyes on him, the man stood up straight and left enough space for her to get out.
Su Zixi hurriedly squeezed out, holding the box and waving at him, “I’m leaving, um… Good night!”
“Good night.” The man said softly, his voice husky and lodious.
Su Zixi looked at his tall figure and his smiling eyes, and suddenly felt a bittersweet ache in her heart.
This man was actually her lawful husband.
What had she done to deserve this?
For a mont, she suddenly felt that if all he wanted was her, then perhaps it wasn’t entirely out of the question… after all, they were married in na.
Yet, there was still a flicker of unease at the bottom of her heart, stopping her from taking that step.
Su Zixi bit her lip and turned to leave.
“Zhixi.” The man suddenly called out to her softly, his tone laced with an ambiguous smile, “Don’t make wait too long.”
Wait too long?
Was he talking about work, or… sothing less innocent?
Su Zixi’s cheeks blazed, and she nodded furiously, quickly running out of the study with the box.

The next day.
Su Zixi buried her head and walked into the classroom, quietly sitting next to Shen Yushan.
Shen Yushan was initially concentrating on the lecture, but when she felt soone sit beside her, she casually turned her head to look. That glance was significant.
“Zhixi?” she exclaid instinctively!
Instantly, the entire classroom’s gaze converged on them, even the professor stopped mid-sentence and glanced at Su Zixi.
Su Zixi was so annoyed she almost rolled her eyes! She had managed to avoid the scrutinizing gazes all the way and sneaked into the classroom quietly, only for Shen Yushan, who had no filter, to blurt it out and thoroughly infuriate her!
She apologetically smiled at the professor, then lowered her head.
After a quiet three seconds, the professor finally regained his composure and continued the lecture, but many students had lost interest in listening, their gazes falling subtly on Su Zixi.
Shen Yushan lowered her voice, her eyes full of curiosity, “Zhixi, what’s really going on?”
“After class,” Su Zixi said without looking.
Shen Yushan, persistent, tugged at her arm, “Why are you still coming to class? Everyone thought you had taken a leave of absence!”
“I’m not taking a leave of absence, but I do need to take so ti off to go work at HI,” Su Zixi said in a low voice, “You all are coming to intern at HI Group, rember?”
“You’re still working even though you’re the Young Mistress?” Shen Yushan almost scread again, but Su Zixi squeezed her hard to calm her down.
Eventually, the class ended, and Su Zixi decisively pulled Shen Yushan and ran off.
They sprinted across the campus, not stopping until they were outside the school grounds. Before Shen Yushan could ask, Su Zixi blurted out, “The reason I’ve beco the so-called Young Mistress of the He Family is just a series of misunderstandings… and it’s only temporary; I don’t know what will happen in the future… I’m temporarily living with He Jingyao, but it’s not the kind of relationship you’re thinking of! I won’t be returning to school in the short term; I’m going to ask for a leave from the headteacher right away. Also, could you do a favor, please!”
