557: 525.
Thought Cage Core 557: 525.
Thought Cage Core “Roar!!”
The roar shattered the fleeting silence of the temple.
It was Yan Si’s Spiritual Body emitting a fierce howl, glaring fiercely at Obrian and growling, “You old fart!
Just you wait!!”
Among the ten geniuses that were captured, the Spiritual Bodies of Yan Si, Jin Jili, and the Justice Saint Heir were still conscious.
Unlike Yan Si’s frantic and furious rage, Jin Jili and the Justice Saint Heir were both closing their eyes,
the forr’s cheeks twitching as though enduring great pain.
The latter’s expression was calm, but the flickering of his Spiritual Body’s face indicated that he was not having an easy ti either.
The Justice Saint Heir slowly opened his eyes, his gaze cold and piercing like lightning, “Aren’t you afraid of retaliation from all sides?”
“Ah, handso boy, are you worried about sister here~” The white cat’s tone was charmingly soft, and she chuckled lowly, “Don’t worry, the Elental Church will take the bla for us.”
Of course, she wasn’t actually from the Black Moon Church, so even if the truth ca out in the end, it wouldn’t concern her.
She was just sent by the organization to help out.
The Justice Saint Heir realized that the enemy seed not to fear offending various forces at all, and he frowned deeply, his gaze turning toward the two Black Moon Saintesses who were still desperately trying to hold on in the center.
He really couldn’t understand what Obrian’s purpose was, why even target their own Holy Daughters?
“Justice Saint Heir, do you have a plan to escape?”
Cha Naixue’s faint voice suddenly rang in his heart, he lifted his eyelids slightly and imperceptibly shook his head.
He was struggling to save himself now, how could he have any strategy to escape.
He had initially placed his hopes on these two Holy Daughters.
But it seed that they also had no solution at the mont.
This couldn’t help but disappoint him.
In fact, both Cha Naixue and Jiang Qiue were frowning deeply, but there was no real panic in their hearts.
Because their master…
pah, because their companion was none other than Sirius!
Both Jiang Qiue and Cha Naixue had witnessed Xia Feng’s outrageous and unfathomable strength, and both believed that Xia Feng would co to save them.
Not for any other reason, but simply because as Holy Daughters with utilitarian value, it was impossible for him to abandon them.
As for whether Xia Feng, who wasn’t even at the Venerable level, could handle two Venerable level powerhouses,
that was not for Cha Naixue to consider.
After all, every ti she doubted Xia Feng, she ended up being proved wrong, so now she had learned her lesson.
Whenever it involved probabilistic calculations about Xia Feng, she would toss aside her brain and not bother with the math, instead treating it as a 100% certainty.
In simple terms, it was like blindly choosing A on a test and being assured of a perfect score!
Cha Naixue now had this confidence; her master…
pah, her childhood friend was invincible.
However, Jiang Qiue didn’t see it that way, although she knew Xia Feng would co to rescue her, she still had so concerns in her heart.
The current situation was actually much more dangerous than when they were in the Beiqiu Abyss.
Obrian, a seasoned figure of the Venerable Two level, was not to be taken lightly, with two A-level elents condensed, his strength was not comparable to an ordinary Venerable Two level.
Moreover, there was also that mysterious white cat woman.
How could Xia Feng handle them?
If Xia Feng and Q-faced person couldn’t make it, then she would have to risk corruption once more by severing her tail again, Jiang Qiue thought, conflicted within.
“So, Obrian,” Cha Naixue inquired, her inner composure affording her the leisure to contemplate, “if your purpose is to contaminate us with this Purple Mist, then why capture these people?”
“Only by sacrificing high-quality Spiritual Bodies can we activate the ‘Thought Cage Core’ and release a sufficient amount of Purple Mist to assimilate the thoughts of both Venerables,” Obrian explained, leaning on his staff and slowly walking to the center of the Array, speaking of his plan with the ease of soone chatting with two Holy Daughters about everyday matters.
Jiang Qiue’s beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, “Thought assimilation, whom do you intend to assimilate our thoughts with?” She could sowhat understand the aning of thought assimilation, akin to the Snow Plain Consciousness.
If one were swallowed by the Snow Plain Consciousness, they would beco part of the snow plains: Jiang Qiue would still be Jiang Qiue, her soul unchanged, yet her thought processes and personality would take on those of the snow plains.
For instance, if Jiang Qiue’s wallet were stolen by a strong individual, given her nature, she would choose to not create further trouble for the sake of caution, only thinking of retrieving it when she grew stronger, and even then, she might consider stealing it back.
Under certain circumstances, she might even contemplate taking it back by force.
But if she were assimilated by the snow plains, she might beco enraged and fight to the death with the thief, willing to destroy herself if it ant annihilating the thief’s entire family!
In fact, this wasn’t much different from soul usurpation, and was perhaps even more dreadful, because while the soul remained the sa, the current thoughts ford by the convergence of thought processes and personality would belong entirely to another being.
It was for this reason that Jiang Qiue asked with whom the thoughts would be assimilated, as it could very likely point to the mastermind behind Obrian.
To this question, Obrian rely lifted his heavy gaze, “Holy Daughter, if you cease resistance, you will naturally learn of my purpose and all the truths.”
Knowing she would get no further answers, Jiang Qiue did not persist.
However, looking at the situation now, it seed the Justice Saint and others were unfortunate to be implicated by her and Cha Naixue.
Obrian’s true target was the two of them, while the Justice Saint and his companions were rely offerings.
With this thought, Jiang Qiue frowned in confusion, “Where is Olivia?”
“Szzzt—Szzzt—”
The sound of forceful footsteps accompanied the grating tallic screech as it echoed from a dark corner.
Jiang Qiue looked up to see a woman nearly two ters tall, fully clad in a horrifying and rugged scarlet armor, the billowing blood-red hair shadowing a left cheek marked with a cold, pitch-black prison mask.
The three-ter longsword she dragged on the floor bled continuously, carving deep straight grooves into the holy white floor tiles, which luckily possessed the ability to self-repair, returning to their original state in a second.
Following her, a red-skinned man with reflective square glasses introduced himself as Russell.
With a delicate face and a faint smile on his lips, he said, “My master is here, how may we assist you?”
“Olivia!” Jiang Qiue didn’t speak, but the Justice Saint was quick to do so, his voice cold with anger, “You’re in league with Obrian?”
Olivia’s scarlet eyes lifted slightly, “Is there a problem?”
“Such treacherous betrayal, you agree to it?!” The Justice Saint, seemingly familiar with Olivia, found her choice incredible, resenting her lack of struggle.
“Is there an issue?” Olivia remained indifferent.
Obrian paid no mind to the conversation between the young prodigies and calmly gazed out the window.
The Red Bishops sent by the Elental Church and the Church Court had been in a rush to report back the earth-shaking secret ‘the Holy Relics buried in Spirit Mountain’ and had already left the previous night.
Obrian, of course, would not hinder them.
Now only Theresa remained.
Her escape was unexpected, but it was of little consequence.
A single Elental nun could not stir up much trouble.
All that was left was to quietly await the activation of the Thought Cage Core; then the two Holy Daughters could be assimilated successfully!
