The soldiers originally from Barnes Village found themselves in a bit of a "pickle."
Although the officials from Hope Village promised to let them beco soldiers, they feared they wouldn’t receive the sa treatnt as the original soldiers of Hope Village.
Yet, the thought of transitioning from soldiers to rcenaries worried them about adapting to the change.
Since becoming soldiers, apart from the few who were infantry and cavalry charging into battle, most focused primarily on city defense. Transitioning to rcenaries would take ti.
So during their deliberations, they also waited.
Waiting for the official stance of Hope Village.
It wasn’t that Pavel thought too highly of themselves, he just believed that a territory’s military strength couldn’t exist without soldiers; if Hope Village wanted to develop, they needed soldiers.
And they were all promising soldier material!
Therefore, Pavel was indeed strolling around the Lord Mansion with several squad leaders, firstly to grasp the situation in Hope Village, and secondly to wait.
"Will the officials from Hope Village really take the initiative to find us? Or should we take the initiative?" one squad leader, whom Pavel trusted more, spoke up.
After entering Hope Village and witnessing its prosperity, he genuinely felt that it would not be a loss for them to take the initiative given such a territory. There was no need to wait for soone to co to them.
Most importantly, the soldiers under their command inquired with the soldiers of Hope Village privately, asking soldiers who had later joined the soldier team and had the sa race as themselves, and found out that everyone received equal treatnt.
Those who worked more earned more, and those who worked less earned less.
Besides, it depended on their Contribution.
The higher the Contribution, the higher the basic monthly salary they received.
In other words, the longer one served as a soldier, the higher the benefits would be.
Most crucially, if a soldier was injured, the treatnt costs would be fully covered by the territory, and if a soldier was sacrificed, their family could choose to receive a monthly basic welfare salary or opt for a one-ti condolence paynt. Furthermore, they would be given priority during recruitnt.
Such benefits were highly tempting for soldiers who had struggled in Barnes Village.
The treatnt they received in Barnes Village was not bad, but it did not offer the sa security as Hope Village; there might be better terms, but those were procured by exploiting residents, and they had to bear the stigma when used.
As this squad leader spoke, the other squad leaders eagerly looked at Pavel, obviously thinking the sa.
Pavel saw their anxious looks and said directly, "Don’t worry! It won’t take too long."
Just as Pavel’s voice fell, Zhou Bai and Bayer ca down from upstairs and imdiately spotted Pavel’s group.
As they looked towards Pavel and the others, Pavel seed to sense it and looked back at them.
Pavel’s eyes flickered with anticipation; the people he had been waiting for had arrived.
Quickly, Zhou Bai and Bayer approached them, smiled, and introduced themselves in turn.
"I am Zhou Bai, the Village Chief of Hope Village."
"And I am Bayer, head of military managent in Hope Village."
Listening, Pavel took a deep breath inwardly and said, "I am Pavel."
Following that, he introduced each of the squad leaders by his side as well.
As he listened, Zhou Bai matched their nas with the information he had just reviewed.
The squad leaders received a Contribution level of at least five hundred; once they joined Hope Village and were given ti, they would soon live up to their reputation.
Thinking this, Zhou Bai directly said, "On behalf of Hope Village, I sincerely invite you to join the Hope Village soldier team. I wonder if you are willing?"
"We are certainly willing, but after all, we joined halfway, and many of our soldiers haven’t t the Contribution requirents. Will we receive fair treatnt after joining?" Pavel said without hesitation.
"Rest assured on this matter. Soone from our territory should have already discussed it with you, right? We can incorporate all of you into the soldier team, giving you three months to et the most basic requirents. During these three months, those who don’t et the requirents will receive the most basic salary. Once they pass, they will imdiately receive benefits according to the current welfare system of Hope Village soldiers," Zhou Bai said directly. "If you are worried, you can sign a contract with the territory authorities."
"How is the salary of a soldier collected?" Pavel asked subconsciously.
"The salary is distributed on the tenth day of each month. If you suspect an error, you can request paper records from the personnel departnt. Paper records are a unique thod of record-keeping currently in our territory. There are records for every year, every month, every day; there will always be evidence," Zhou Bai patiently explained, sensing the distrust in Pavel’s tone.
In fact, as the population of the territory grew and affairs multiplied, Zhou Bai did worry about managent issues. After all, many details could be scrutinized in the short term but might blur over ti. That’s why she later asked ng Chengzhou to research paper making. With paper, she no longer worried—affairs of the territory could be extensively recorded, leaving trails. Coupled with the system’s functionality, it helped prevent so undesirable events to a great extent.
Therefore, regarding this matter, especially in regards to the salaries and benefits of the territory personnel, Zhou Bai was particularly transparent and truly fearless of foul play. If anyone dared to tamper, they would be punished severely.
Pavel was stunned when he heard Zhou Bai ntion that everything was recorded.
He had imagined that the administration of Hope Village might be different from that of Barnes Village, but he hadn’t expected it to be so different.
"Alright, I have no more questions," Pavel said directly. "So should we go transfer our professions now?"
"Sure!" Zhou Bai nodded. "I’ll go with you."
And so, led by Zhou Bai and Bayer, Pavel followed with the many squad leaders and their subordinates towards the direction of the military camp.
Soon, they arrived at the military camp.
Upon entering the military camp, Pavel couldn’t help but observe.
He noticed at a glance that the military camp of Hope Village was the highest level in village-level territories.
Training camps, parade grounds, armory, managent hall, and everything else were in place.
From these buildings, he could tell that Hope Village was quite willing to spend money in this area.
Of course, what caught his attention was that there seed to be two training camps, one of which had quite a few professionals queueing up for training?
Noticing Pavel’s gaze, Bayer by his side took the initiative to explain, "That training camp is for the territory professionals to use, and they have to pay a certain fee. These fees go into military funds for the use of the military camp."
To a certain extent, the military camp was essentially self-sufficient, only occasionally requiring so financial support.
This detail was self-explanatory.
"That’s very good; having a place to train will also strengthen the abilities of the territory professionals," Pavel said opportunistically.
This was actually beyond his expectations, as a military camp was a critical place!
However, there was a certain degree of separation, which seed quite good as well.
"Let also tell you about the current types of soldiers in Hope Village," Bayer continued.
As he spoke, his gaze swept over the more than a thousand soldiers behind Pavel.
Among these soldiers, there were so types that Hope Village currently lacked.
With their joining, the military strength of Hope Village would be stronger.
